Stacey "The Cat" Carter was also involved in the "dude" segment

The report of the Mets signing Moises Alou is bogus, he's close to signing with the Giants according to the NY media. Also, according to the papers, there is a Cliff Floyd/Shea Hillebrand deal on the table between the Mets and Diamondbacks.

1985-1988 WWF is my favorite time period in wrestling, EVER. A lot of people crap on 80s WWF because of the lack of quality wrestling and the cartoonish nature of the show. I will freely admit that the NWA had much, much better in-ring action, but WWF just made everything seem so important back then, and hooked me for life. I don't know if it was "money promos" or not that were drawing me in, it was just a feeling, an intangible quality the product had back then. It just seemed everything Vince did during that time period turned to gold. Stick Zeus into the main event =$$$, HonkY Tonk Man headlining B shows= $$$, Jim Duggan headlining MSG against Andre=$$$. I really can't explain it other than everything, every title, every angle, seemed so important then as compared to now. It could be the lack of competetive matches, the lack of big shows that made the bigger shows seem even more important, the general star power, but it all added up to me becoming a fan for life. I've noticed that fans today who rip the WWE for lack of workrate, etc., still fondly remember the 80s, even though the wrestling was even worse back then. I think it proves that smart booking and marketing can be more successful than great wrestling sometimes, or it can mean that nostalgia is all powerful.

In line with the Alou signing for the Mets, Mike Cameron will open the season on the DL after recently having wrist surgery. He'll be back in May by the earliest. The Mets back up center fielders last year were Joe McEwing and Gerald Williams. Can Diaz play center? I'll take Valent.

I guess the Raw Elimination Survivor Series match gets the main event slot. HHH/Michaels/Benoit gets the 10 spot

nope, Metsies still need to waste money on some offense

Gammons is reporting the Orioles are close to landing Carlos Delgado. Mets lose out on another FA.

before his recent comeback, Bill Murray in "The Man Who Knew Too Little"

yeah, I know, I just thought I would mention that little fact, the announcers harped on it throughout the game. It will be a longshot for sure for the Steelers. I'd like to see the Giants just win one more game, let alone 17 in a row.
-
For Steelers fans, every single team that has won 12 in a row in a season, has gone on to win the Superbowl
-
the loss of Gibril Wilson was huge in this game, the middle of the field was wide open all day
-
and there's your game, good effort by Eli and Giants though, and Big Ben is still undefeated
-
Giants making Randall-El look like Jerry Rice in his prime. Again, no blame on Eli for this lose
-
I think they went for 2 so 2 field goals wouldn't beat them
-
Steelers come right back down and are about to take the lead right back, no blame on Eli for this loss, all on the defense, they have been HORRIBLE
-
Giants have to settle for a field goal, 20-17

It also looks like they are building towards Eddy v Booker at Mania. That's quite a one year drop off for Eddy so the WM SD side looks like: Cena/JBL Eddy/Booker Angle/Taker Show/Reigns? add something with Rey and RVD It's a lot less obvious than last year

How is he a heel now? I was at Armageddon and he got one of the biggest face pops of the night for what he did (unless he did something on Smackdown I missed, which is forgivable, considering I don't watch Smackdown). I meant I hope a complete heel turn is coming. I know Haas is still a face, he tagged with Bob Holly on Velocity
-
hopefully he drops it to a freshly turned heel Charlie Haas

Thanks, great stuff HTQ!
-
HTQ, in Meltzer's preview he has a cryptic line about JBL and his future. I assume that he is holding on to the title to Mania and drops it to Cena? He's not losing it before Mania is he? Because, like Eddy last year, Cena could win the title before Mania and "walk out of WM champion".
-
yeah, that is what they said last year, but Vince also added if any champion was drafted to the other show, they lose their belt. Going by that, how would Cena and Orton hold on to their belts if they are drafted?
