The thing is that last year they said that if a champion got drafted to a different show, they were stripped of their title. I guess they could amend that this year, because if they did an angle where both titles were stripped and held up, it would kill Orton's and Cena's push.

If Kidd and Carter stay healthy, there goes the chance of the Knicks winning the division

add me to the Drew Carey hate His show started out fine, but then it turned into the "which hot girl does Drew bang this week, to hell with reality, I have a lot of money and am going to do whatever the hell I want" show. Drew turned into the male version of Brett Butler or Roseanne, he let success get into his head and he started to make his show about his character getting laid and making lame beer jokes all the time. The show, in the same vein as Roseanne, was about a middle class guy struggling to survive and his reaction to all the madness surrounding him. But once Drew became popular in real life, then all of a sudden in his show he's making out with hot chicks all the time and talking about getting laid for 22 minutes. No one was going to buy that with a guy like Drew in the lead, and the show died as a result. And the gimmicks killed it to. but it was mostly Drew's increasing ego.

Al has to plug the numbers and see who is a favorite to win the East now. I have a feeling it will come out differently now.. Congratulations Braves fans on your 14 straight divsion title.

Reno 911 (I like it but it's not THAT funny) Jay Leno Will and Grace ( I hate the writing on that show, Hate it) Kathy Griffin (her "Celebrity Obsession" act is starting to wear thin big time) Michael Ian Black ( I was seriously waiting for Norm MacDonald to kick his ass on Celebrity Poker Showdown) Maya Rudolph on SNL ( a joke that she made the 25 most funny people in America list) Dave Mordal and Rich Voss on LCS (I was suprised all the love they got on this board over the summer, I just don't think they are that great, although Dave was a lot funnier this year than last)

What's the worst WCW Nitro Ever?
strummer replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
I can't remember the exact date, but there was a Nitro from Boise, Idaho (IIRC) in the summer of 99 and EVERY SINGLE WRESTLER was over huge. It was the night Hogan returned to red and yellow and the crowd went apeshit. Raven was on some radio show right after this episode aired and said that all the reactions on that show had to be taken with a grain of salt, because Idado was a barren wrestling market at the time and would react to anything. It was an amazing show in the aspect that WCW didn't have a lot of over guys at that time and it was astonishing to see EVERYONE get a reaction. -
Question, why do most tall wrestlers have trouble having good matches? Is it the lack of athleticism or is it just impossible to have good matches when your body is so awkward and musclebound? Why is it easier for smaller wrestlers to have better matches? It seems that 6-4 seems to be the height where if you are over it, you just don't consistently have good matches. Everyone says big men suck in wrestling, but WHY do they suck? and whey don't they ever improve?, can big men become top notch workers or is it impossible? I guess I'm only referring to American wrestling here.

Pedro passed his physical, Dan Patrick on ESPN just reports, it's official

The movie didn't really bomb, did it? It just didn't live up to expectations. HHH will probably be on in the 9:00 hour, Howard is having an abnormal number of guests on for his show. Must be because he is going on vacation the next couple weeks and they wanted to fit in a bunch of guests before the Christmas/New Year break.

Really hot, but not as hot as the one Stephanie wore in the first handicap match with Test v Rock. And one thing Russo did right was try to push Kim, he just did it the wrong way. No one wanted to see her wrestle or whine and complain in promos. If WCW (standards and practices)wasn't so strict about T and A, Kim could have been a huge star, on par with Sable during the same time period. Not that she was a great talent or anything, but she would have gotten over huge if pushed as the hottest woman in the company and a big sex symbol.

How can the Nets be that high on PR list?, they are just 1 below the Knicks and the Knicks are 4 games ahead of them in the standings

oh and it's nice to see they followed up on Haas' angle and heel turn by, ahhh, not mentioning it at all and having him tag with Bob Holly in a worthless tag match on Velocity. Haas can't get a break.

man, that is a hell of a lot of talking for a 2 hour show. Obviously it's Show v JBL at RR where there will be a non-finish and then JBL goes over Show in the barbed wire match at No Way Out in February. So now either Cena or Orton wins the Rumble, I still bet Randy.

Angels sign Paul Byrd

Might be a stretch, but the Dudleys and Hardy Boys got more over from the TLC matches, and Edge and Christian won all of them

He seriously was, watch the cage match with Jannetty on the Bloodbath DVD, Shawn is dogging it (or is wasted) and he is sporting a major gut. I think he was on cruise control because he was having a contract dispute, once he got the new contract, he got in better shape and started to produce. 93 was not a good year for Shawn

As far as booking wrestling, which kind of bookers should get more credit?, bookers like Heyman and Sapolsky who say "You have 20 minutes, go have a great match" or like Vince McMahon, who manipulates the product so that he can be the one who gets credit for success. Meaning that Vince created wrestlers and their gimmicks/personas, so he should be the one who gets the credit for their success. Bookers like Heyman let the talent shine and sort of back away from the limelight. On this point, is it good booking when they (Heyman, Sapolsky) say "Go have a good match"? Furthermore, should Vince McMahon be praised for making bad, maybe underserving wrestlers popular or shoud he be criticized for it? Of course Vince has made more money than the other 2 combined, but is he a better booker than Heyman and Sapolsky? I hope everyone gets the point I'm trying to make here, which is what bookers deserve more credit, the "let the wrestlers shine" type or the "I created them, I molded them, I get the credit" type?

If the Mets could some how move Trachsel, he is in for a big big slide, he was terrible the 2nd half of the season. Come on Omar, Odalis, Odalis!!
-
of course the Mets will regret this in the long run, but maybe they can get a few effective years out of him. Knowing the Mets, now they won't spend any money on their anemic offense. So Pedro will get no run support and leave after 6 innings. Hey, they just got rid of the left handed version of that pitcher. Right now, I'm happy with the signing, but this being the Mets, it will be a disaster in the end Edit: WFAN says the deal is not official, so this might be a moot point, now they are saying Pedro could still go back to the Sox.

And Bryan was right on, Sexson is a Mariner http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/baseball/203...sexson12ww.html

My question is when JBL finally loses the belt, does he return all these jobs? ala HTM in 88-89

reading Meltzer's PPV report and this past week's Observer, it looks like they are building towards Cena v JBL at WM for the title.
-
Yep, sure sign JBL is going over in the main

Bryan Hoch of Mets Inside Pitch (reliable source) is saying that Richie Sexson is close to a deal with the Mariners. Mets are doing squat, big suprise
