Randy Savage piledriving Ricky Morton through a table - a definitive precursor to hardcore wrestling. Cheers.
-
I'd vote X7 the best, followed by X. By the way, to me HHH vs Undertaker was far below ***. Cheers.
-
Was this PPV on his site or something? Did anyone watch it? If so, any opinions? Cheers.
-
Has Savage actually wrestled at all since Road Wild '99? I presume people wouldn't be able to afford him in the Indies... Cheers.

If we are talking about wrestling (or North American wrestling at least) in general, people who will get inducted at some point in time should include... LARGELY ASSOCIATED WITH WWE/WWF/WWWF Bruno Sammartino Bob Backlund Bret Hart Edouard Carpentier The British Bulldogs Kurt Angle Owen Hart Curt Hennig Rick Martel Ricky Steamboat Ted DiBiase Arn Anderson (by now, mostly associated by new fans with WWE due to current role) Rick Rude Dean Malenko Rey Mysterio Jr Mick Foley Larry Zbysko (spent a long time in the old WWWF) Big Boss Man Roddy Piper MOSTLY ASSOCIATED WITH OTHER COMPANIES Lou Thesz Verne Gagne Stan Hansen Nick Bockwinkel Gene Kiniski Mil Mascaras Steve Williams Abdullah The Butcher Tully Blanchard Nikita Koloff Kerry Von Erich SHOULD BE INDUCTED ONCE RETIRED: Ric Flair Hulk Hogan Triple H Steve Austin Vader Jerry Lawler Chris Benoit Shawn Michaels Randy Savage Sting The Rock The Undertaker Dusty Rhodes FOREIGN WRESTLERS THAT COULD BE CONSIDERED FOR THEIR US APPEARANCES: The Great Muta Jushin Liger Cheers.

The UK Fan Forum is reporting that FWA wrestler Paul Burchill has got a WWE development contract. Here's some info on him... http://www.frontierwrestling.com/info/supe...rs/burchill.htm Cheers.

I've seen him wrestle some non-squash matches and I consider him a solid worker. I'd also add that I've met him several times and he's a genuinely nice person without any sort of ego. Cheers.

I believe the C4 is the standing shooting star press, which is one of his moves. I may be mistaken though. From a review from thesmartmarks.com (http://thesmartmarks.com/artman/publish/printer_1167.shtml) Paul Birchall vs. Double Dragon Birchall is a very physically impressive guy, about 6 foot 4 by my rough estimate and jacked to the nines. Double Dragon jump him before the bell, but he no-sells a double clothesline and drops them both with hard forearms. Birchal grabs Jordan, he gets a Northern Lights, floats over and turns it into a KRYPTONITE KRUNCH~! Ghosh now tries a some offense, but a sitout powerbomb kills that dead. Birchall stalks the butler, but runs into Double Dragon double stomps back in the ring. Double basement dropkick takes Birchall off his feet for the first time. Double hiptoss, double elbow, double pose by Double Dragon- BUT BIRCHALL IS UP, and somebody gonna die. He FLINGS Jordan into the air into a fireman’s carry, Ghosh cuts him off. Birchall grabs a pumphandle, Jordan tries to save, and BIRCHALL SUPLEXES BOTH OF THEM OVER HIS HEAD! WOW!! These are decent size guys too, about 200 pounds each. Birchall on the top now, GRACEFUL MOONSAULT…hits mat, and the Dragons take their chance to bail. No go, because the monstrous Birchall hits a RUNNING SOMERSAULT PLANCHA ON BOTH OF THEM! Basement dropkick to Jordan, Birchall whips him in, Jordan tries a firman’s carry, reversed by Birchall into a rolling fireman’s carry. HOLY SHIT, STANDING MOONSAULT BY BIRCHALL! HOLY FUCK, STANDING MOTHERFUCKING SSP BY BIRCHALL! Ghosh tries a crossbody off the ropes- that ain’t happenin’, EMERALD FUSION~! Birchall wins by KO. Holy Shit, why isn’t this guy WWE Champion RIGHT NOW?! Birchall has the look, the size, has the hoss-tastic high impact suplexes and absolutely freakish agility. Think Mike Awesome upgraded to the 1,000th power. I’m telling you, if there’s anybody in WWE or TNA reading this (doubtful, but hey, one can dream), SIGN THIS GUY RIGHT NOW! As for the match, it was a squash, but WHAT A SQUASH! Winner: Paul Birchall Rating: **1/4 Cheers.

Bit extra... apparently the UK Fan Forum post is quoting from the Observer. Cheers.

Fire: Basham Brothers, Travis Tomko Hire: Samoa Joe, Jonny Storm (good cruiserweight with promo skills,) C M Punk Cheers.
-
Is that confirmed? Cheers.
-
They're in the same format as the VHS releases by Coliseum - slightly edited, but the matches were complete, I think. So far as I remember the only really badly edited video was Survivor Series '88. Cheers.
-
They should really get him in the WWE Hall Of Fame.
-
Just wanted to bump this as I'd like to know about this too. Cheers.
-
The video of Survivor Series '88 released by Silver Vision (and CV as well I imagine) was heavily clipped. I don't have any of the Tagged DVD's to comment though. Cheers.
-
I'd also like to see him come in and do well.
-
I think No Way Out 2001 was the best non-big-4 ever, but Backlash 2000 was a lot of fun.
-
I've got a 5-hour best of Sayama collection, and 4 or 5 volumes of Dynamite Kid. There's plenty of comps about if you check the traders.
-
Post deleted.
-
Their match from 8/5/82 is my favourite of all time. Cheers.
-
How about matches that start in a collar and elbow tie-up? They used to happen in every match. Now they barely happen at all.
-
Add Dynamite Kid to that list. I'd also consider Shocker from the lucha libre world.
-
Was he fired, or were they just not interested in him?

Heenan didn't show up until September 1984. He was brought in to manage Jesse Ventura, but Jesse came down with some illness and Big John Studd was the substitute Heenan was actually with the WWWF back in 1972. (first appearance listed on Graham Cawthon's site... http://www.angelfire.com/wrestling/cawthon777/) WWWF @ Pittsburgh, PA - Civic Arena - March 3, 1972 Johnny DeFazio & Gito Mongol defeated Luke Graham & Jim Grabmire Tony Marino fought Waldo Von Erich to a draw Mr. Sato & Mitsu Arakawa defeated Mike Paidoucious & Bill Miller Bruno Sammartino defeated Stan Stasiak John L. Oh, just thought of two. Scott Casey (Survivor Series '88.) Bull Nakano (SummerSlam '94.) And possibly... Duane Gill (Survivor Series '98, although he may have done a Rumble.) Cheers.
