    Manitoba Greyhound Bus Murder

Here's a letter from the ALWAYS CLASSY Calgary Sun: Better be careful or the rest of the world is going to start thinking Calgary is full of macho Monday morning quarterback know-it-alls who stick their noses where they don't belong. Oh.
  2. Chris Jericho in '97/'98 because he was pissed about a losing streak.
  3. Jake Roberts. I think he turned because he felt evil. Sid Justice turned because he wanted a piece of Hogan. Maybe the more appropriate scope should be the Attitude / Post-Attitude era.

    Debuts than Downfalls

Sean O'Haire and Nathan Jones both prove that the WWE's production department was way way beyond Creative. Hakushi only had a shelf life of a few months. The Great Muta's WCW run in 2000 fizzled pretty badly too. Pretty much everyone in the Dungeon of Doom not named Hugh Morrus or Meng. Even The Giant was kind of just there.

    Best Endings To Pay-Per-Views

Yes sir! SummerSlam 97 was pretty good too, with Shawn accidentally costing Taker the belt. And watch the arena just EMPTY after that. WM X comes to mind first, not just for Bret's big win, but for the face celebration, the dark cloud that was Owen lurking in the shadows, and the World's Worst Announce Team shutting up for a couple of minutes. The twelve months that came before were depressing and ambiguous and this kicked off a pretty solid Spring/Summer/Fall for them.

    Guys on the way out

No matter what happens, Dustin Rhodes always seems to leave a company on great terms when he's run out of things to do, but then again, he's been pure midcard since 1997. I also seem to remember Vince McMahon acknowledging on Raw in 1994 that Randy Savage departed without burying him. But then the Billionaire Ted stuff came a year later. Lance Storm (2004? 2005?) just sort of gently faded into the night if I recall correctly.

    Manitoba Greyhound Bus Murder

Better to take him alive, interrogate him, jam him full of very unpleasant psychotropic drugs, and keep him in a small concrete bunker for the rest of his natural. Even if he's a brain stem in a jar, keep him alive and in misery. Police in this part of Canada tend to have a very vicious mean streak. They probably drew straws for all-important "first taser." Had this been in winter they would have stripped him naked, taken out a kneecap and let him freeze to death like the backwater whores from Saskatoon. This is why I'm anti-death penalty. You close the door on cruel and unusual punishment forever.

  14. LASERBLAST! FAAAAAAAR OUT! Here's hoping the 20th and 1/2 Anniversary set (or whatever Shout Factory does next) has Master Ninja I and II and The Final Sacrifice. Come on, there's no excuse for not including Final Sacrifice, the rights have to be dirt cheap.

    Fear me, Theseus.

"Deathstalker," right? Or am I thinking a different femme-y balding villain?

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

Mid-sized Alberta towns are like that in general (if my experiences in Drumheller, Hinton and Red Deer are indications), and from what I hear, no one is in Fort McMurray because they like it; it's about the money you make before you move back to where you want to live. Edmonton is actually quite groovy, though.

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/calgary/story/200...nya-couple.html I knew these two when I was a kid. Wacky evangelicals. I'm curious to know what-they-did / if-they-did-anything to provoke this.

Well, that's actually a given. Because clearly this video is the time and place for discussion on Iraq:
