On another note, why is it that some Knockouts like ODB, Christy Hemme, etc. get to keep their names, yet every other Knockout has their name changed when they debut?

 

For Christy Hemme, she has value in performing under her real name because she used it in WWE. ODB probably was willing to sign over rights to her ring name and the others weren't, similar to the Low-Ki/Shenshi thing.

For those who have seen the Shea Stadium show on 24/7 you'll know that Cole can be quite an amusing announcer when he isn't being fed all of these lines by Vince.

 

The truly hideous aspect of this is Vince is ranting at the announcers and telling them how to call matches, when he himself was one of the worst announcers ever.

 

He basically wants clones of himself.

 

I thought that was what Mike Adamle was.

Let me get this straight, this year the KoTM match has 8 people in it? And of those 8 'top tier contenders' are Robert Roode, James Storm, Tomko and Matt Morgan?

 

You have it wrong. Cornette picks four people and Joe picks four people. They hook it up in qualifying matches. KOTM will be a five-man match as usual.
