not that it matters, but this was far worse than the original poem. you should've just gone for the straight-up satire and not tried to put in any new ideas.

this was a little scary to me, in that it involved someone from my school coming to the city i currently live in. strange to think that while i was watching a movie with my friends at union square, there was another guy from the city i'd just come from a couple months ago, rotting in a construction area just a few miles away. very strange. just one of those things. -

if you're going to entertain me, i at least demand some more creative use of language. if you want me to respond to what you're actually saying, you need to step up with something that actually catches my attention. when you give me nothing to work with but "godthedoginsignificantassholerandomcliche," it doesn't really provoke a reaction, it just kind of makes me notice that you mentioned my name. your lack of style and anything noteworthy may amuse inc in a 'real world san diego' kind of way, but my standards are higher. not that i think you have any potential to really be anything substantial, but you can do better than you've been doing. try harder. but he's not different, that's the whole problem. he's a garden variety wwf folder lurker, only noticeable because he posts so much.

'shakespeare in love' beat 'saving private ryan'. which was all the more entertaining, cause 'shakespeare in love' wasn't all that great.

found a $10 copy of 'lust for life'. good and catchy. i really need to stop buying shit so impulsively.

'schindler's list'. it's not even close. it abounds with fantastic scenes, and is the only work of art in the 20th century i can think of that dares to even try to personalize the holocaust while maintaining its enormous scope. it doesn't quite succeed, but it goes farther than anything i've ever seen in making us remember that each of these people had a name and a face. using the list as a symbol is a brilliant answer to the kind of dehumanization the holocaust has come to stand for, and spielberg's constant focus on the human face feels just right.
