Matt and Jeff are numbers 1 and 2 on the wwe.com Power 25 this week. That's kinda cool.

This is one of the stupidest things I've heard in a while. I know it's called Beat the Clock, but it's been stated every time that the man who beats his opponent in the shortest amount of time is the winner. Since Jeff and Trips tied for the fastest time, they should either both get a shot or have to face each other to determine a true winner. Jeff shouldn't be the sole winner just because his match went on first. The reason the announcers always say "so and so has to BEAT the clock" is because they don't want to telegraph a tie. That way it's surprising when it happens.

I just watched Smackdown and that Miz/Morrison/Festus segment was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. I LOLed.

Agreed. Everybody whining about Cena's promo sucking needs to wake up and get a freaking clue. Jericho's been insulting the fans for months. Cena's been portrayed as the 'everyman' character. It's natural booking. Above all it's successful booking. Enough with the "he's a Hogan wannabee" BS. Hogan and Austin were the top two drawing babyfaces of the modern era. Hogan was booked as a man of the people and so was Austin. Why the hell would they NOT do that promo and go that direction with Cena!? Cena got at least a 95% postive reaction this week, which is a good thing and he cut a really strong promo without resorting to any goofy catchphrases. People were chanting Cena's name during the first segment, before the opening tag match and at least one other point during the night which I forget but was way before he was supposed to come out. Stop deluding yourself people. Not to name names, but... ...SO much stupid I can't even begin to describe it. On a lighter note, Regal's double-take after Lawler's "piece of crumpet" line was one of the greatest things ever. He's now officially 'back'. Nothing I said was stupid. I said that Cena nauseates ME. He annoys ME. I didn't claim that everyone hates him. But I, personally, can't stand him when he talks. He's good to great in the ring, but almost unbearable on the mic nowadays. I didn't watch wrestling in the 80's so I can't speak on Hogan, but comparing Austin to Cena is the only stupid thing I see above. Sure, Austin was supposed to be an everyman, but he didn't come out every week and talk about how everything he did was for the fans.

Cena's promo tonight was a prime example of why I can't stand his character. It's nauseating how much of a suck-up he is to the fans. I know that he really feels that way and that his passion for the business is real, but using that to get more popular is unbelievable annoying and I'm already hating the fact that he's champion again.

I think the reason that people confuse slash and backslash is because if you start at the top, a slash goes in the backwards direction. When are backslashes even used?

Are you talking about adults in general, or just that specific guy? Adults in general. You may recall Cena spray-painting the word "poopy" on JBL's limo shortly before he got injured. I don't see how any adult could like Cena as much as this guy did. (Don't get me wrong, I love what Cena does for the company and I hope he's around for a long time to come. I just hate his character.)

Ok, so now my thoughts on the show: Team HBK vs. Team JBL This was your average Survivor Series match. I didn't like the quick eliminations of JTG, MVP (though I knew he'd go first on his team), and Kane but atleast the match slowed down after that. Miz's finisher isn't exactly believable on a guy the size of Shad but anything to get him and Morrison more over is a plus. I really liked that Morrison was the last member of his team, because I was scared that he would be one of the first to go. I wish he could've eliminated Rey before losing to HBK, but no biggie. Raw Divas vs. Smackdown Divas Well, the right woman survived. The match wasn't anything great, but I absolutely love that fact that Maryse not only was the last diva on her team, but scored three of the four eliminations for them. She's not fantastic in the ring, but she's my favorite diva in the company right now. Undertaker vs. Big Show The explosion at the top of the ramp scared the shit out of me. The match was fine from what I can remember, and the ending was original, so all around it was a decent match. Team Orton vs. Team Batista Regal's elimination was bogus. After that, it was the best of the three elimination matches last night. I was dreading Batista running through all four remaining members of Team Orton, so the ending pleased me. I'm glad they had Cody survive along with Orton, and the RKO to Batista got a huge pop. Triple H vs. Vladimir Koslov (vs. Edge) Guys, they made the match terrible ON PURPOSE. They wanted to make the crowd scream for Hardy, and we did. When Vickie came out I knew that it would be Edge, not Jeff, in the match. The pop when she said "he's here!" was big, but I think the pop when Edge's music hit was just as big. It's so good to see someone other than Triple H as champion on Smackdown. Hardy's return was cool, but if he was good enough to do the run-in, why wasn't he good enough to compete? (in kayfabe) Chris Jericho vs John Cena After Edge won, I knew Cena would walk out with the belt so I just had to deal with it. The crowd went crazy for him as my friend and I just kind of sat there. It was an entertaining match and the guys in front of us were rooting for Jericho too, so it was still fun knowing what the outcome would be. Overall, it was a very enjoyable show. Edge's return was the highlight for me. The guy behind us was hilarious..he kept singing Orton's theme song at random points throughout the night. Then when Edge won he ran down to my friend who was wearing an Edge shirt and started jumping on him and screaming for Edge. Surprisingly, this guy (old enough to buy alcohol) was a HUGE Cena fan, so when Cena won he ended up falling down the stairs and spilling beer all over his buddy.

Just got back from the show. I'm going to bed so I'll post my pre-show thoughts in the morning, but I'd just like to bring this up: If you ignore Regal's elimination, every black wrestler was eliminated before any of his white teammates. MVP went first on his team, Cryme Tyme were the only two eliminated on their team, Kofi and R-Truth went first on their team, and Shelton and Henry were eliminated before their team won.
