Why does anybody think Kennedy will face Flair at Wrestlemania when he's already trying to retire Flair at No Way Out?
-
I would prefer to see this at No Way Out, if it happens like that. I'm not a fan of triple threat matches under normal circumstances, and I definitely don't want to see a title change hands at Mania in a triple threat. If you want to do that, have Mickie win at NWO, pinning Melina or whomever the third broad is, and then you can set up Mickie vs Beth at Mania, with the built-in storyline of Mickie having never actually beaten Beth. Sounds like a good idea to me.

Now that we know Cena is going to be in the WWE Title match at Wrestlemania, I think we can make some better predictions as to what the card will be. I doubt the card will be anything like the following, because WWE never reaches their potential, but this is what I would like to see: John Cena© vs Triple H: WWE Title The rematch that "everyone" has been waiting to see. I don't see Cena only having a one month title reign, but I don't see him beating HHH at Mania again either. This match could go either way, and could be a GREAT match. Edge© vs Undertaker: World Heavyweight Title The match most of us have been waiting for since Edge hit the main event scene. I'd rather Taker go in with the title and everything to lose, but I don't want to have Edge vs Taker before Wrestlemania. Perhaps Taker pins Rey in a Triple Threat at No Way Out to win the title. This is THE main event for me and should be good. Don't know who goes over. CM Punk© vs Umaga: ECW Title, Extreme Rules Ever since somebody else on here thought of this match, I've wanted to see it. I think Umaga can be really good sometimes (see RR07) and vs. Punk would probably be one of those situations. Punk retains. Ric Flair vs Randy Orton: Career Threatening Match Orton wins. Someone's gotta do it and I'd rather Orton than Batista. Jeff Hardy vs Mr. Kennedy vs John Morrison vs Shelton Benjamin vs The Miz vs Rey Mysterio vs Chavo Guerrero vs Y2J: Money in the Bank This one goes to Jeff or Jericho. I'd give it to Kennedy but he won last year. Jeff probably gets the win and eventually wins the title down the road. Beth Pheonix vs Mickie James vs Melina: Women's Title The women's title match, assuming there is one, has to have Beth and Mickie in it. I just wanted to change things up slightly. If Candace is back by Mania, put her in Melina's place. If not, you could put Maria in. It doesn't really matter. Mickie finally gets her win. Matt Hardy vs MVP: US Title Ten months in the making. Can't wait for this one. Matt wins the title. JBL vs HBK Neither man had an opponent. I don't want to see JBL vs another guy his size so he gets HBK in the battle of the initials. Big Daddy V/Mark Henry/Great Khali vs Kane/Batista/Big Show This one was the last match I came up with. I guess I just thought all the crap (the heel team) should be thrown in the same match. Batista isn't going to be in a title match, and I don't think he should be the one to retire Flair, so put him here. Vince/Shane vs Finlay/Hornswoggle Well, you know there's going to be some sort of a match at Mania involving Vince, Finlay, or Horny. Vince and his real son take on the little bastard and his father figure. This will be short, but not terrible. Shane gets Van Terminatored by Hornswoggle. I wanted to make the best card I could, so I looked at the Wrestlemania X-7 card. It featured mostly one on one matches, a 6-man tag, a multi-man spot fest, and a McMahon family drama match. That's what I tried to do here. If Lashley isn't really gone, I guess he could take Batista's place in the 6-man. Then either Orton or Batista would get into the WWE title match and the other would take on Flair. EDIT: Anybody know whether or not Hogan will be a part of Mania this year?
-
Orton could just as easily make another comment about being the best thing to ever come out of Evolution during a interview at NWO and Batista just so happens to be in the area and refutes that claim. There's your set up to Orton-Batista, whom are both otherwise left in the dark for WM. If Orton, Batista, and Triple H all have matches at WM, will it have to be HBK that faces Flair? I can't think of anybody else they would let retire him. I wouldn't mind HBK vs Flair, but I figured HBK would make a good opponent for JBL, unless JBL goes back to Smackdown to face Rey or ECW to face Punk.

RKO out of the Walls of Jericho works!

What are some things you've heard or seen that made you immediately think of wrestling, even though the thing in question had nothing to do with wrestling at all? For me, the best example is a boat I saw being pulled on the highway; the side of the boat said Nitro and the motor said Mercury. (or maybe it was the other way around, idk) Another one: The current President of UConn's last name is Hogan..before he took the position our president's last name was Austin.

I hope the final six are CM Punk, Big Show, MVP, Matt Hardy, Hawkins and Ryder..though I don't know how they get MVP into the match without Flair too. It's not like the winner of their match will get into the Rumble, because MVP isn't going to win. Also, I could see JBL beating someone up for their spot..maybe Foley?
-
This is great news. I was dreading his return to Raw.
-
What the fuck. This sucks. Here's hoping CM Punk wins the Rumble and goes after Chavo.

I don't get all the love for Colin. I guess it's an original way to debut someone, but otherwise it's nothing I really care to watch.

WWE General Discussion - January 2008

hes been gone? I actually thought the other day how cool it would be if he came back as a surprise entrant, but as the Hurricane. -
No, douchebag, the biggest fan is probably WATCHING THE FUCKING GAME. Wow, ok..I didn't realize this was such a sensitive subject..or that you were PMSing this weekend..either way, I'm going to be rooting for the Giants whether I watch the game or not because I hate the Patriots so god damn much.
-
Well, I'm probably not watching the Superbowl this year. It's a lose-lose situation. It's funny though, because I was rooting so hard against the Giants tonight, but come the 3rd I'm gonna be their biggest fan.

I'm going up to Turning Stone casino this weekend in New York and as it will be my first casino visit, I need to know some things about casino etiquette. I'm mainly just going to be playing No Limit Hold 'Em, but I'm sure I'll take a shot at some Blackjack and Roulette as well. Has anyone been up there before? How is it? Anybody else who frequents casinos, any advice? I don't know anything about tipping dealers, when I can sit down at/stand up from a table, what I can do with chips, etc., so any input is appreciated.
-
Question: Am I allowed to have poker chips from other casinos (in Vegas) on the table as card protectors/good luck charms or is that not allowed?
-
If this was June-October, I might give Jeff 4 to 1 odds but with Wrestlemania only 2 Pay-Per-Views away, I'd say it's more like 40-1, unfortunately. I too would mark out pretty hard.

You've obviously never played holdem at Turning Stone. Play tight aggressive and you'll get the money. Tipping -- Standard tip at a poker table is $1 for any pot of reasonable size, maybe $2 if it's a really big pot. Don't tip if you just stole a $5 pot. Always tip dealers in chips. Dealers rotate every half hour, and they keep their own tips, so don't wait until you leave to tip or one dealer's going to get it all. Tip the waitress $1 if you order a drink. Seating -- When you get to the poker room, talk to whoever takes care of seating for the games and ask him to put you down for whatever stakes you want to play. They'll call your name whenever a seat opens up. You're not allowed to just sit down in an empty seat at a poker table. Any other game, just sit down wherever there's space. You're not allowed to take money off the table playing poker unless you're getting up to leave. Also, you have to play $2 to the poker room before you even sit down at Turning Stone. They make you buy a "poker room membership" which is good for 24 hours. You're supposed to have this card on the table at all times, and you must have it when changing games or you have to pay up again. I can answer any other questions you might have. Tight but aggressive is how I always play, so I'm hoping you're right and I can win big. We're going to be getting there around midnight and playing through til the afternoon..is it normally pretty dead in the early hours of the morning or will it be busy enough to win some good money? I'm anticipating and hoping for a decent amount of people my age (18-21) because I hate playing poker with 60+ year old men.

I think I'm in love with Kristy Lee Cook.
-
It's getting to the point where I don't even want this game anymore. I've never been a huge SSB guy, because I didn't buy it for Gamecube and by the time I realized how fun it was, everyone I knew was so good that I just didn't bother to get good at it myself. I had planned on getting Brawl so I could finally have a game in the series, but if I don't get it at release I won't be upset.

Am I right to assume that once you've downloaded a Virtual Console game, you can't send it to someone else as a gift? In other words, you have to say it's a gift before you download the game, right?

Tom Brady as QB of the Cowboys. -
Angle/Kong vs Joe/Gail?

If TNA ever does Angle vs. Kong, it will be the first TNA pay-per-view I buy.

I didn't think the Swanton spot was all that great, if only because Orton barely fell farther down than he would have if he just got back dropped on the stage. There's no reason he should have laid there for that long, totally motionless, after being dropped from not even 10 feet. I wish Hardy had gone up one level higher, but he was still high enough to make it kinda cool.
