WWE General Discussion for June 2007
foleyfanforever88 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I for one would love to see Goldust back. His character when he was with Booker is one of my favorites of all time but I think it would be great if they brought him back as a heel and pushed him hard in the IC division. I'd mark the fuck out for a Goldust-Val Venis IC Title match on pay-per-view (if Val ever wrestles again). -
WWE General Discussion for June 2007

I didn't see this anywhere, but sorry if it's already been posted: source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter Goldust was scheduled to return to WWE as a full-time performer, but it looks like that idea is out the window now. On Friday, May 25, Dustin Rhodes agreed to make an appearance at the SNME taping the very next Monday. As you saw on Raw, WWE did a major advertising spot for it, but without Dustin's final commitment. However, Dustin called WWE soon after back (after they made the advertising spot no less) and cancelled, saying that he had a prior booking on Monday, May 28, the same day as the SNME taping. He also said that his chronic bad back was giving him too much trouble. Dustin also cancelled his appearance at the Bad News Brown tribute show on May 25. Dusty Rhodes was asked to intervene in the situation, but he said he didn't want to mix business with family. When Vince McMahon heard about Dustin backing out, he got mad and decided that he didn't want any non-contracted people appearing on the show. When Vince was making the decision, Mike Bucci was talking to Kamala. Kamala was originally advertised to wrestle in the "freaks" match at the SNME taping, but due to all this, he lost his place on the show. Dustin picked a bad time to back out, or if his injury was that severe, it couldn't have come at a worse time. Raw writer Brian Gewirtz had gotten approval for Dustin Rhodes to get a full-time WWE contract and for him to return to the company as Goldust. He would have gone back to his original persona when he was a major heel, but with a few adaptations due to the changing of the times. And due to the lack of depth on Raw, he was going to be a major heel this time around. In fact, WWE had plans for him to feud with Santino Marella to help get him over in a high-profile feud. There were also tentative plans for Goldust to work with both Triple H and John Cena by the end of the year. Although, that was dependent on him getting his heel persona over. Unfortunately, all of these possibilities look to be out the window because Goldust backed out of appearing at the Saturday Night's Main Event taping after he agreed to. -

I saw it at 10 last night (no midnight showing at our theater, dont know why) and I loved it. I did get confused about halfway through, with the 5 or 6 main characters/groups of people and trying to figure out who was on which side, but I didn't really care, as the action was enough to keep my interest. Great movie.

Well he's never been on the RAW roster, but he's wrestled on RAW before.

Well Mark Henry isn't a bad worker, he isn't that great, but he's far from bad. I think the majority of the people on DVDR feel he has improved as a worker, and has a awsome charcater. I'm part of that same logic of thinking. I think people in the IWC are trained to believe you have to be 5'11 and channel Chris Benoit, to qualify as a good worker. Mark Henry has found something that works, and he's great at carryin it out. His matches now are perfectly acceptable, and you coulodn't say that 3 years ago. He has great timing, a pretty good offense, doesn't blow up easy, and has really learned when to sell, and not too. He also makes the moment, that his opponent actually knock him off his feet means something, and it gets a great reaction from the crowd. So yeah, Henry is actually pretty good. Nobody is saying he's Kawada, but still he's a prefectly acceptable wrestler right now. Well until, he breaks a bone...Again. DVDR is far from a bad board, just like this is far from a bad board. I might prefer DVDR, but I can understand posters liking here better, but there is no need to say DVDR sucks. I seen somebody diss Dutch, well my 1st time here there was a guy name "RAVISHINGRICKRUDO" who was a bit of a prick, but that didn't change my opion of the forums here. I'd definitely call Henry a bad worker. Did you see his attack on Taker when he returned? He was throwing some of the slowest, shittiest punches I've ever seen.

This has been known for quite a while.

I loved Shrek 2, thought Shrek 1 was okay, and was really disappointed by Shrek 3. Worst one by far.

Charlie Haas

I thought her most memorable performance and the one that won her the show was "Alone" by Heart. I believe that was the song Simon made his prediction of her winning after too.

I bought a Dunder Mifflin shirt today.

The OAO Raw for May 21st Thread
foleyfanforever88 replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
I missed the first hour of Raw..is this actually happening or were you just calling it in advance? It's not confirmed. WGTT were just at ringside for the tag match. Ended with the RedNecks saving Hardys from WGTT and Nitro/Dykstra beatdown. Damn. What was the tag match? Hardys vs Nitro/Kenny? -

This video reminds me of the Eminem "Without Me" video. -
What was that? 15 minutes? Flair/Carlito got about that much too right? ECW title match kept short and Benoit/MVP still to come..it's been a good PPV so far.

It's already almost his longest, isn't it?

Anybody watching on Stickam? If so, is the video like 6 or 7 seconds ahead of the audio for you too?

Ongoing Smackdown spoilers

Cool Taker video. -
You do know that spells out Up Yours, right? That was the idea. Mick Foley, Ken Shamrock, Test, and somebody else (Al Snow?) circa 1999. The Union was one of my favorite stables of all time.

I couldn't care less about this news. Sure, the Originals are down to 3 members now, but still..Sabu is an old piece of shit who is only still around to take crazy bumps.

Trailer for The Rocks new movie

Also not my kind of movie, but I'll probably see it anyways because I like the Rock as an actor. -
Same here. I hate Murdoch but I'm interested as to where this feud is going.

That would be awesome. Khali: AHHHHHHHHHHHH Translator: AHHHHHHHHHH It would be just like during the Bischoff Trial when Tajiri said "Bischoff!" and the translator yelled "Bischoff!" as well. Hilarious.

with Smackdown. If he's gonna come back to RAW and be treated like a joke, I'd rather not see him come back at all.
