    Greatest African American Wrestlers

Neither is The Rock!!! Techncially The Rock isn't African-American because his father is African-Canadian... But The Rock is black, as he is Samoan. Regardless, Marc Mero isn't black... He's a tanned jew. I know all about The Rock's lineage..I was just making a joke, because there have been many arguments here about whether or not he should be considered black. As for this list, I believe he belongs on it, and rightfully at #1.

Guys Currently Being Groomed For Top Spots

I had a hard time choosing between Punk, MVP, and Dibiase, so I went with Ted because we have the same birthday. I would have chosen Kennedy if he wasn't so injury prone. As for the other guys.. I honestly don't see much potential in Cody or Miz as singles stars, mainly because of their size. I think Miz and Morrison need to stick together for atleast another year or so, as they are the best tag team in recent memory. After they do eventually split, I see Morrison being a pretty big star, but not quite "the guy". I think Shelton has been around long enough to prove whether or not he has main event potential, and I don't think he has. Sure, he's phenomenal in the ring (he's one side of my favorite match ever) but his mic skills are horrendous and after what, 6 years, he still can't get fans to give a shit about him outside of the MITB match. I love Christian and hope he gets his time to shine eventually, but I wouldn't be surprised if it never comes. I'm also a big Swagger fan, but his lisp is really going to kill him. I see him getting a title shot or two, but never as World Champion. Now to my top 4: Back when they first came into the company, I thought Kennedy and MVP could be the next Rock and Austin, or maybe I should say Cena and Orton. Now, I'm not so sure about Kennedy (only because of his injuries) but I still think MVP can be huge. I prefer him as a heel but I think the face turn was necessary because he was getting Haas levels of heat before that. Dibiase has the look and I really hope to see him succeed, though I think another year with Legacy is essential so that people don't stop caring about him. And Punk has already been to the top, but now he's back down to IC Title level. I think a heel turn would do him some good, so that when he turns face again he'll be bigger than ever. The future looks bright regardless of who ends up making it big.

Do you not have any repeat city names up there? Because we certainly do. For example, there is a Springfield in Massachusetts, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, and Oregon (and probably a few more states). Quite different areas of the country.

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread

Unfortunately, with such a large roster of guys deserving of a spot on the WM card, it's not really feasible for all of the mid-level titles (IC, US, Tags) to be defended. Since the IC Title has more WWE history than the US Title, it would be better to see an IC Title match at Mania than only a US Title match, but looking at the current rosters, Punk doesn't have many good WM opponents whereas on the Smackdown side, there are quite a number of US Title-level guys that could compete for the belt at Mania. Punk could put out an open challenge for his IC belt a few weeks before Mania, for Mania, and someone from SmackDown! could accept. MVP, if he wasn't already programmed with Shelton, would have been a pretty good pick. Except that MVP is a face now. I think MVP should take Shelton's title in the next few weeks and get into the MITB, while Shelton answers a Punk challenge for Mania.

Christian is challenging Jack Swagger for the ECW Title, almost certainly at Mania. If anything, I think they need to go back to 8 guys in MITB this year, because there are so many guys without matches that could fit well into that match: Punk, Kofi, Rey, Kane, Bourne, Finlay, R-Truth, Shelton, MVP, Kennedy, Kendrick..

I'm still waiting for another big match or two. Edge vs. Cena, Triple H vs. Orton, HBK vs. Undertaker, Hardy vs. Hardy and Jericho vs. some legend (hopefully Austin) aren't enough big matches for you?
