Because "being over" is less useful than "Being good". Nobody in 3LK has shown any ability to put a BUTT in the seat --- they're simply Hogan in his last WWE run. Nah, I'm not seeing it. Look at boxing. In boxing, you are meant to hit the other guy in the head in order to score more points or (prefereably) knock him out to win. BUT YOU ARE NOT MEANT TO CRIPPLE HIM. People are meant to be temporarily KO'd, but OK to fight again. Is it a stupid sport? Yes. Is it ridiculous to assume that people can be hit in the head time and time again without risking major injury? Yes. But that's what's MEANT to happen. Same with wrestling. To briefly plug the SWF e-fed, my wrestler has several times explained to people that he doesn't enjoy hurting people, but he enjoys winning and in order to do that he has to hurt people. And he's a heel. It's not about really hurting people, it's supposed to be about disorientating/winding/knocking them out long enough for the three-count. So I reckon the proposed storyline would work. You're not totally correct about boxing. It's the rules and the officials that keep the boxers from crippling each other. The fight is stopped when one competitor is in danger, they don't get hit when they're down, etc. The boxer is trained to continue pounding the shit out of his opponent until the fight is over. It's up to the officials to end it before it reaches the point of serious injury. I remember seeing an interview (I believe with Lennox Lewis) where he was being given a hard time for labelling a guy with one final shot when he was already out on his feet. He explained how in a previous fight he let up on a guy in a similar situation and that brief lapse gave his opponent the opportunity to come back in the fight. He didn't want this to happen again so he continued laying it on, going on to emphasis that it's up to the ref to stop the fight prior to a killer shot like the one he layed on. It's the ref's decision, not the fighters. I'm clarifying this because it's up to the commentators and writers to point it out this way. They need to point out that this ain't ballett, but these guys have lives and families and that rules are needed to protect them from serious injury. The wrestlers aren't holding back because it's fake, they're holding back because breaking the rules and/or carelessly causing injury will get them fined/suspended/fired. An admission that you didn't want to hurt someone does not have to equal an admission that it's all fake. It's all up to the background that is given to this admission. Still, boxers *don't* want to hurt each other. They're good sports, and the loser usually congratulates the winner afterwards (Providing he's not knocked out). They throw as many and as hard as it takes to win the fight, but if they do end up seriously injuring the guy, I'm sure they feel a little bad afterwards and apologize.. and there isn't any bad blood between the two because they know that it's how the game is played and it's nothing personal. Which is the same as kidman, saying he's sorry for injuring Chavo, as it wasn't his intention, but he was just doing what he could to win the fight.

I know this doesn't really belong in this folder, but since we're talking about opponents helping someone with their move... THE SCISSORS KICK! What the hell is that? All wrestlers obviously know that Booker T's finisher is the scissors kick.. so what do they do? Stand in position for it while Booker runs off the ropes and hits it... meanwhile in a match against anyone else, they never stand in that position when hurt/tired. 619! Same thing.. I know Rey "Positions" them on the rope.. but how hard is it to fall backwards, thus preventing the move? Those moves seem way more phony than the Canadian Destroyer.

If a match entertains me, I'm all for it.. weather it be a great show of psychology or a spot fest.. When RVD's music hits for a match I can almost always guarantee that I'll at least be entertained during it. There aren't too many wrestlers who I can say that about..

Jarret should drop the belt to Hardy, as Hardy has more main stream publicity than Jarret.. then at the big PPV have Hardy drop it to Raven.. I think advertising Hardy vs Raven *may* have some power to draw crowds, (Hey, it's a match they haven't seen since Sunday Night Heat!!) No, I don't know what I'm talking about.. It'd be cool to have AJ vs Truth but no one who aren't already fans of TNA will really know/care who they are.

Some of you are acting like the wrestlers are retards who need to be lied to or their feelings will get hurt.. Their job is to entertain fans. If they do not succeed in this, it's their own fault, better luck next time. The fans didn't like JBL vs Taker, and they showed it. Are they suppose to pretend to like it so that JBL and Taker will feel good about themselves? Hopefully people take a leasson from this and start disrespecting ALL the shit they see live. Then maybe the WWE will smarten up and we'll stop getting such a shitty product. If you reward them for being shit, they won't change.
