That was probably the single-most awkward thing I've ever seen in wrestling. Didn't Arn Anderson come down before the match with a valet on each arm to be ring announcer or something? I can't even remember - I've tried to block it out for so long.

RVD was on Between The Ropes a few weeks back and talked about the PPV. He said he'd prefer WWE put the show off until he's healthy so he can be "The Whole F'N Show" for one more night. He put the timetable for his recovery anywhere between 4 and 12 months. Also he said that if Heyman's not involved, he's sure WWE will consult with the former ECW wrestlers on the roster for ideas, and that their voices would reflect the intentions of Paul regardless. When asked if the show could be successful, he said sure. He said there's roughly 30 former ECW members in WWE and that they could put on a great show. He said if they get former ECW talent that's not currently with the company to come back, that would be cool.

Ah yes, the fraternal order of World Wrestling Entertainment. Randy: How should we haze the new girl? Holly: I'LL TEACH THAT LITTLE WHORE HER PLACE BY PUTTING HER THERE! Randy: ........................... um, Bradshaw? JBL: Shower rape. Randy: Brilliant! Holly: Brilliant! Hurricane: I hate you guys.

Paramount releasing Classic Nickelodeon on DVD!
GreatWhiteNope replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in Television & Film
Agreed - there's issues with the cast (which is insanely large, mind you) receiving royalties from broadcast/distribution of the show. Nickelodeon doesn't own the show, CJOH in Ottawa does. Nick had a contract with CJOH up until 1994 allowing them to show reruns of You Can't Do That on Television as they pleased. Once the contract expired, Nickelodeon stopped airing the show because they would have had to pay royalties depending on what episode they aired, and to each individual cast member featured in that episode. So when Nickelodeon had their 20th anniversary in 1999, they bought 5 episodes outright from CJOH to use without having to pay royalties. They aired 2 or 3 of those episodes during a marathon. Then when Nickelodeon had their 25th anniversary in 2004, the two episodes they ran were Pop Music and Enemies and Paranoia - which both aired during the 1999 marathon. -

Or until all the image links die and it ceases to make sense. -
They don't want to have to pay all those music groups royalties by keeping the videos in the show. And, as great as B&B was, B&B without the videos loses a lot of the appeal. It's the same thing with Daria - every episode used no less than 5 licensed songs.

Price mistake a few months back. They honor price mistakes if you order before they correct it.

I got mine in the mail from DDD the other day. $5.99 - gotta love it. Watched the whole set today. Excellent stuff. Easter eggs are as follows: Disc 1: John Finnegan/RVD post-match interview (Living Dangerously 99) Disc 2: RVD/Sabu/Fonzie promo (Heatwave 99) I found them using a computer, so don't ask how to access them on a standalone player - I have no idea.

It was alright - I'll watch it. I noticed the voice actor that was used for the son in the internet pilot a few months back was changed. I liked the original one better (pretty sure it was Seth originally).
