Unforgiven got 220,000 and SummerSlam got 340,000, I believe.

    Taboo Tuesday Buy Rate

Those look like reasonable estimates. SS will be lucky to get in the high end of your guess range, both due to a glut of PPV's, and no matches on the card that can draw a big buy. Armageddon and the Puerto Rican PPV will probably do even worse than Taboo Tuesday, because they're 'B' shows and are too close together. The Rumble could do in the range you suggest, but I think it will probably be in the lower end. I think certain people are underestimating the damage that having so many PPV's will do to the Rumble buy rate, regardless of the novelty value it has. Of course, those same people will also insist the Rumble will do the same 580,000 buys it did last year, while ignoring the fact that the PPV climate has changed and business is down. Why do you keep posting on this subject when it's already been proven that you have no idea what you're talking about? Seriously. This from the guy/girl who hasn't contributed anything to the thread beyond some lame namecalling and not much else. When you can make posts that are more than one-dimensional attempts at trolling, feel free to contribute. Until then, it's you who should stop posting. Hey, don't hate on me for calling out your bullshit. Trying to look like an expert in this thread while not knowing your ass from your elbow.

The Rumble did over 500,000 buys this year.....it'll probably do around that again....it's traditionally the 2nd highest of the year..hell SummerSlam did like 380,000 this year and that was after the 6 weeks of PPVs in June/July -Paul Jacobi- Yep. Torn Quad seems to like talking out of his ass.

    My problems with the WWE

But eddy ususally defends his title and when it comes to PPV he doesn't cheat that much or has a group to help him do so. How old are you? 11?

    Taboo Tuesday Buy Rate

How is that successful when WWE is still wasting a lot of money on producing these p.p.v.s? They could just do one p.p.v. per month and get those 2 buyrates combined. No, they really couldn't have. No Mercy might have gotten 30,000 more buys had there not been two PPVs this month but I even doubt that.

    Taboo Tuesday Buy Rate

Armageddon: 195,000 Puerto Rican PPV: 165,000 Royal Rumble: 235,000 The Rumble will get WAYYYY more than 235,000 buys. Probably 100-150 thousand more. Armageddon, if well built, could break 200,000 and that's a good estimate for the Puerto Rican PPV considering it's on a fuckin Wednesday. You think the Rumble will get 335,000 to 385,000 buys ? It will. Last year's got almost 400,000. The Rumble always draws well because of the stipulation.

    Taboo Tuesday Buy Rate

Doubt it. Care to actually explain? They just gouged the fanbase for $70 in a short period of time. It's going to hurt the buyrate of the next show because it's so crammed together. The same thing happened in the summer when they did this. The PPV following did a sub-par rate because they've oversaturated the market. People will only pay so much. I don't think many people would've bought Vengeance regardless of the two PPVs before it but I guess we'll see.

Exactly. And even without Taboo Tuesday a couple weeks later, I doubt No Mercy would've gotten more than 190,000 buys.
  13. Yes. He's done well in the chicken shit heel champion role though. I wouldn't say that it's a necessity to get the belt off of him.

    Dave Meltzer's Taboo Tuesday review

It's debateable these days as to how much he means to the hardcore fans. If anything he's a comedy act who's kept around because of his status. If you'd asked me 5 years ago what my opinion was of Ric Flair it would be much higher then it is today. And you know what? It's only going to keep going lower and lower and I'm not the only one. Yeah, because what he's doing now really effects how great he was 15-20 years ago in his prime.

    Raw rating

They're probably going to get more money than they did last time from USA or Spike. And I highly doubt ratings will drop to under 3.0. It was low yesterday because of a highly rated baseball game and MNF. It will stay in the low-mid three's for awhile.

    How will HHH be remembered?

It still is. A guy like Nash was a complete failure as a draw. Or Sid. Hart and Michaels could even be called complete failures as draws. But not HHH. He was the most integral part of the most profitable year in wrestling history. Trips had great people around him, Sid and Nash didn't. What were Michaels and Hart?

Calling HHH a complete failure as a draw is ridiculous.

    How will HHH be remembered?

Well, he's got the beard, and he uses a gruff voice in his promos. But HHH doesn't say fuck 20 times in every promo like Shane did for the bulk of his career, so that's one difference. Same gimmick. Similar wrestling ability. Same look. lol Dick Flair lol

Who is this 'everyone'? At the time, a ton of people thought it was turn the tide and make WCW a competitor again.

So much for that push. Guess Taker nixed the program. And THANK GOD for that. You'd rather have Taker go over guys who could actually contribute good matches to the active roster?
