No, thats not the same thing. She could have done anything, it is a show based on the persons performance. If Simon tells them to stop screaming so much and sing, its about as useful as anything she did. He has to perform and people other than her have to vote on him succeding or not. Unless they can prove that his voice got better lapping up her vagina juice, she didn't give him a unfair advantage. It's very naive to think the fans vote soley on voice. The fans vote based largely on the judges reaction. If she goes to him and tells him "Hey listen, Randy loves this song. Sing it and he'll definitely give you a positive reaction". That's an unfair advantage. The fans also vote on appearance (the teenybopper crowd). If she goes and spends $400 on him for clothes and a haircut. That's an unfair advantage.

Having any kind of special relationship is an unfair advantage. She bought clothes for him, picked songs for him, paid for haircuts, cellphones, choreographed him, and gave him tips. She’s supposed to be an impartial judge. Just listening to the guy sing, there's no way he deserved to have made it as far as he did and who knows how far Paula would have carried him if he didn't get kicked off the show.? This is comparable to Mark Propst going to one of the contestants on Survivor and privately telling them about a secret alliance.

http://sg.fullcoverage.yahoo.com/s/eo/16432 If she's giving the kid an unfair advantage, the FCC might care.

Jesus. Standard fine for criticizing officials is $10,000. For him to be fined $100,000, he must have really hit a nerve.

I think the R rating is what hurt. It might have given the impression that the movie would be really gory and scared people away. I don't know how this movie got an R rating though. I've seen PG-13 movies with much worse violence. Even with the R rating and the subtitles, the movie should have made much more money than it did. It broke all box office records in China and critics have absolutely loved the movie (88% RottenTomatoes rating).

Kung Fu Hustle should have made at least $10 mil.

Went to see Kung Fu Hustle last night It was FUCKIN AWESOME. Stephen Chow is a comedic genius. 10/10

Voting off Greg wouldn't have been smart. The men were already outnumbered. Getting rid of Greg would have made it 5 to 2 (Tom & Ian). It wouldn't have been long before the women (lead by a pissed off Jenn) got together and said "gee, let's get rid of the 2 remaining physical threats".

The Julia Louis-Dreyfus episodes. The one redeeming part of the Maggie Lizer episodes is that scene where Tobias tries to hide from Maggie thinking she's blind. That had me in stitches. Other than that, those episodes aren't too great.

Coby = worst schemer in survivor history I thought he was relatively safe before this episode, but he just did everything wrong that could possibly be done wrong. Pissed people off, first to quit during the immunity challenge, made it blatantly obvious that he was planning something.

Did they just let George-Michael say fucked?

I can't believe Trump let Alex and Chris off the hook again. They did absolutely nothing. It's easy to blame Angie when she did all the work. The only thing I saw Alex do was hang out with the models. The only responsibility Chris had was to buy the gadgets and he couldn't even do that without losing the credit card. He spent the entire day just standing around at Best Buy waiting for them to find the credit card, while Angie was doing 5 things at once. I have not been an Angie fan in the past, but she was royally screwed.

Did the old folks ever perform the detour?

Baseball is too repetitive to be exciting. Too many foul balls, too many routine fly balls, and routine ground outs. I can tolerate playoff baseball. But regular season baseball is just excruciating. Each game means so little.

I'll watch it for this scene alone. http://img228.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img228&ima...silverfk1dh.gif

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orl-...ack=1&cset=true Steve Francis has been suspended indefinitely after pulling a Rodman and kicking a photographer.

James losing to Coby twice. He's sure going to hear it from his redneck friends when he gets home.

Get ready to pay $70 for it. http://www.happypuppy.com/editorial.php?ac...ws&news_id=1081

Could it be any more obvious why Audrey is bringing in Angie? There's no way Trump doesn't pick that up.

Bad reviews for the movie, but it looks like Rock does a good job in his role. ""Be Cool" has only one saving grace, and it's not the unfunny Uma Thurman as a sexy L.A. record executive (although she still looks spectacular in a bikini) or Cedric the Entertainer as the Oreo owner of a rap label -- it's wrestler-turned-actor The Rock ("The Scorpion King"). He's Vaughn's bodyguard/henchman, and an aspiring actor/singer trying desperately (and failing miserably) to hide the fact that he's more than a little light in the loafers. It is side-splittingly funny to watching this buffed, 290-lb. half-Samoan warble through Loretta Lynn songs and proudly smack his own rear when catching a glimpse of himself in a mirror -- and he manages to do this, and much more, without becoming a homosexual caricature. As outlandish as he seems, this guy is the most human character in the movie." http://splicedwire.com/05reviews/becool.html

I don't see how Be Cool could possibly bomb. It looks like it could appeal to many demographics Andre 3000 and Cedric the Entertainer will draw the Black community The Rock and Vaughn will draw the teenage/college crowd Travolta and Uma will draw the white adult community

The Knicks trade has been revised. The Rockets aren't trading a 1st rounder to the Knicks. It's actually the Spurs that trade 2 first rounders. One of them is Phoenix's #1 pick this year and the other is the Spurs. Seems like a shitty deal to me. Phoenix and the Spurs have the 2 best records in the league, so the Knicks will get the very last two first round picks in the draft. They should have got so much more for agreeing to take on Taylor and Rose's bloated contracts.

Did anyone see David Cross on The Jimmy Kimmel Show last night? He pretty much said the show is finished. Said Fox has stopped production on the show. He looked really bummed and depressed too. At one point he said to the audience "Well America, you win. The show is cancelled."
-
Curb Your Enthusiasm is a similar type of comedy, but it's a big ratings success. Perhaps if the show is cancelled, HBO or Showtime can pick it up.
-
I can't for the life of me understand why this show is still not a hit. There have been good shows cancelled prematurely before, but never a show this good with this much critical acclaim.
