Ricky needs to come back to the CFL because as far as I know they don't test for anything. He can smoke all the weed he wants, live relatively out of the media spotlight, and still play football. He won't make the money he'd make in the NFL but I think it's safe to say that the window is all but closed for that anyway.

I don't know if people are still watching this show but you should know that Jericho's done a complete turnaround from the first half of the season. Since they came back from hiatus it's been some interesting television. It's definitely not the slow moving relationship based B.S. that the first half of the season was.

More on the Ryan Smyth trade. The Oilers apparently offered him $27 million over 5 years or roughly $5.4 to $5.5 million/season. He rejected it because he wants $5.7-$6 million. All I have to say is fuck Ryan Smyth.

Which is why I'm not too heartbroken that he's gone. The deals that were tossed around were in that $5.5 million or more range over 4 or 5 years. You can make an argument that Smyth isn't worth that much now but it's almost guaranteed he won't be worth that much nearing the end of it. For that $5.5 million Smyth better be able to put up around 100 points, the reality is he won't come close to that. On a side note, it's funny seeing Pierre Maguire throw a hissy fit over the trade.

I wouldn't be surprised if Smyth comes back to the Oilers in the summer. The Islanders sure gave up a lot for what essentially could be a rental player.

I don't think Balsillie would have moved the team if the Penguins got their new arena. I think what broke this deal is the fact that the NHL told him that regardless of what happens he has to keep the Penguins in Pittsburgh. Now from a business stand point that's not going to fly because if the Penguins arena deal falls through and they start losing cash you don't want to have to be throwing money into a losing business.

I find that it seems blowing up New York is alright but if they chose to blow up say a building in New York especially a sky scraper then you might have some people crying over. Depending on how it's done of course. It'd probably also be the same people who were for removing the WTC from all film and television.

I found it boring to be quite honest. The thing with shows like Six Degrees is that they've got to hook you in right away for you to remain a viewer and Six Degrees just didn't do it for me. It's one of those either you really like it or you really hate it. No middle ground.

I totally agree with your assessment of Justice. Other shows I've watched that are probably not going to stick around are Kidnapped and Six Degrees. Both shows have nice casts but, honestly, they just don't have that 'it' factor that makes me want to watch every week.
