What a boring day. Not one transaction.
-
Even though Drew Bledsoe, Peyton Manning,Troy Aikman and other QBS who went onto have greatness sucked in their first season.
-
I think the Giants should just foreit the rest of the season. Watching them is pathetic.
-
3 turnovers in 7 minutes. *sigh*
-
I don't know about the trade, but we can't trade Felix Rodriguez. As shown by this years playoffs, WE NEED bullpen depth.
-
For some reason the Dbacks will take Burnett over Vazquez for Randy Johnson. Oh. Then carry on with it.
-
Vazquez for Burnett? God no.

Because you are essentially guessing as to whether he has achieved a new level of performance. And when you are considering giving a pitcher $40 Million, you want more information to evaluate than simply a single year. Take a look at Pavano's stats. In 2003 and 2004, he walked and struck out almost exactly the same number of batters. The difference was that Pavano's opposing batting average fell from .265 to .253. Now, I have taken statistics courses. Do you know how ridiculously easy it is for a batting average to take a 12 point variance? Each year, a handful of batters hit .300 due to pure luck. You have no noticeable change in peripherals. That troubles me. There is every likelihood that Pavano becomes a league average pitcher next season. Are you willing to gamble $10 Million a season to hope 2004 is the true level, regardless of the rest of his career? I see your point, but did the Yankees have any other choice? And do you see Pavanos 03 playoff work as a reason to see he'll be able to stay at this level, or simply a coincidence?
-
I swear, why can't a pitcher have his first good year without somebody telling him it was a career year? I mean, pitchers do get better. Look at Pavano's 03 playoffs.

For hot route, you press triangle, then either L1, R1, square, triangle ect .. for whichever WR or TE you want to use. Then, using the joy stick, go up, down, left, or right to change the route. For motion, press R1 before the snap. You'll see a redish circle around either a WR, TR oe RB. Then use the joystick to show which way you want the WR, TE or RB to go.

I think they key for the Yankees next year is Javy. If he can turn things around, and I really think he will, that gives the Yankees with a good rotation. Also, Wright isn't a Yankee, as he failed his physical.
-
You could put the RB in motion, then hot route him. Anyways, my team isn't so bad after all. My true freshman QB is very good, but thats basically because my new RB is the shit, and tore Illinios up for 183 yards rushing. But I've got a hard schedule, playing USC (10) and Oregon (9) back to back.
-
http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/story/7988141 Wright failed his physical supposedley.
-
I don't see any new Gammons stuff? link? Also, Pavano's the same pitcher who outduled Roger Clemens in game 5 of the WS.
-
Acorrding to the NY Post: http://nypost.com/sports/yankees/32658.htm Yankees are close with Pavano.

I didn't save the 3-8 season. So I'm just starting that season over. I'm 1-0 so far, but I BARELY beat Mexico City or something like that, and I'm trailing Washington 14-7 at the half. My D is beyond awful, especailly my secondary.
-
Well, I'm basically fucked. I simmed the season, went 3-8, and was left with basically no recruting points. So I'm going to have to play the season out and do the best I can do.
-
Honestly, do Freshman ever start out really good number wise? Beside the fact I don't have any depth, the reason I'm not that good is because ALL my good players left.
-
Cal. Man, this really blows. I wonder if I should just simulate the whole season.
-
Don't you listen to what the recruits say? Usually it takes the one or two important pep talk topics to sway guys over to your school. The most common that seems are Coaching prestige, location and playing time. Tell the recruits about those three items, if they don't bite, then drop them and move on to someone else. That's what I do and I usually round up about 15-20 recruits ready to come (and some are in the insanely good skill level) EDIT: After reading more, I would say you should properly divide up the recruiting points to about 20 for top level skill players and 15 for everyone else. That's how I did it. Thats basically what I did points wise, and for pretty much everyone, every topic I gave them they didn't like. I finished the season at number eight, and I'm a preseason 23. My team is worse than I started with. ugh.
-
Shit. I need some advice on how to recruit. I wasn't sure what amount of points was considered "high" and I only ended up with SEVEN new players. shit.
-
Is being a Philly fan really THAT boring?
-
I have a question. How can you steal players from different schools, and does it take place in the offseason?
-
Nevermind, I thought I'd lose because I was in second with no games remaining, and the other QB had no games left either. Somehow, by the power of god, I went ahead of him and the damn thing. EDIT: Dammit, Texas has to LB with 90+ stats. Guess I won't be running.
-
I'm also pissed about Lieber. After we signed him for two years, knowing he wouldn't pitch for one of them, for him to come all the way back and be our postseason ace, I grew attached to him. Tis a sad day.
