Michael Kay sure wants to go to bed. He is PISSED the game wasn't cancelled.
-
Damn, after four hours, there are still a LOT of fans left in Detroit. Very impressive.
-
I'm not expecting Moose to get out of the 1st considering his "routine" has been messed up by THREE and a HALF hours.
-
And weird things like shitty old past his prime Garret Anderson going for 2 HR's and 10 RBIs tends to happen when the Angels and Yankees play. I know that stuff happens all the time but I'm sure fellow yankee fans can back me up

If the Yanks make the playoffs, and that is a big if, they are going to have one HELL of a bullpen. Joba, Edwar, Viz, Mo, Farnsworth and Hughes. edit: If Francona should get MOTY because of the Sox's pythagorean record, Torre should have won MOTY the last like 10 years. Teams with the best records in baseball, if you look it up from the last 10 years, I bet ALL overperform their records. I'd put Torre in the running too with all the injuries the Yanks had early.

Isn't Garret Anderson labled as one of the "good guys" of the game? He faked out a five year old on giving him a ball at the end of the game. Asshole.
-
If not for Gagne, the AL east wouldn't really be a race right now. Thats 3 losses in 8 days on him.
-
Sheilds/K-Rod always suck against the Sox, its ridiculous.
-
Maybe I just don't know much, but what makes Scott Boras so good? Why don't all agents just ask for a lot of money and hold out until the last second.
-
That isn't a suprised, the Yankees knew he probably needed surgery.
-
Well he sure looked good today. Lets hope he doesn't sit in the pen for two weeks before being used again. And yea he does need to be good. The "Joba rules" certainly leave the pen a little empty sometimes.
-
Mo's typical awful swoom is really bad this year.
-
SHELLY DUNCAN. booya.
-
Edwar and Sean Henn called up, Karstens and Brower sent down. Took long enough.
-
Paging Edward Rameriez, paging Edward Rameriez.

When does this negative run differentcial thing, and the fact there starting pitchers have a losing record, and their hitters don't walk or have patience, come into play for the Mariners? This Yankee hot streak really isn't going anywhere in the WC deprartment the freaking M's don't lose.
-
I'm just wondering if any of you have seen Joba pitch? It's hard not to get excited after you see him pitch.
-
He probably would have if Karstens had been used over the weekend. It was mistakenley made "official" on NYYFans because Gammons reported that it was "likley" Kennedy would start, but he's not even on the 40 man roster, so it's not really worth it.
-
Oh boy they better win it here. Farnsworth is comming in. edit: well tomorrow should be difficult. Karstens starting, and Joba and Mo not able to pitch. I know Mo is Mo but with these "Joba rules" it really made sense to leave him in for the 9th.
-
Joba is filthy.
-
What is it with managers and their obsession with closers only coming in to "close" games in extra innings on the road? It's a lot easier watching it happen when its a Red Sox situation and Kyle Snyder is pitching instead of Papelbon, but Torre does it all thetime and its fucking stupid. edit: 4 games!
-
When Jose Molina has 4 hits in a game, you know things are going well.
-
I'm pretty sure Gagne was brought in, beside being another good arm in the pen, was to allow the Sox to give Okajima more rest as I'm pretty sure hes reaching innings pitched he's never reached before.
-
Well, he's sure backing up all the praise.
-
Joba Chamberlin relieving Phil Hughes. Definitley did not expect to see that in the box score this year.
