stupid stupid wind.

I actually think that if the Yankees split Schilling/Pedro in the first two games, they have a chance.
-
Its gonna come down to Moose and Pedro tomorrow. Why does it seem like they face each other in EVERY rubber game the Sox and Yankees have?
-
Is Arroyo the Sox third starter in the playoffs? With how had Wakes been, and Lowe's injury, is there anybody else?
-
Honestly, with it being in Yankee Stadium, and how both teams don't have off days together, I think they'll wait the whole day to get this game in.
-
Please don't rain. PLEASE.
-
Its not raining in Westport anymore. Is it raining in NYC?
-
I didn't mean it in that way. For the last 8 years, it was always the Yankees coming back in the 9th inning at Fenway, and beating their closer. It was always the Yankees with the comebacks. This whole game reminded me of what we used to do to the Sox. EDIT: I keep trying to tell myself this is only one game, and were gonna make the playoffs anyway. But this one really really hurt.
-
Hes gonna have to pitch in big game soon anyway, you might as well get him battle tested now.
-
What did they do wrong? Bad hitting, obviously, but they basically played flawless baseball for 8 innings. Anyhow, its still back to 2.5, which is where we've been for most of the last 3 weeks. And if tomorrows game gets rained out, do you think Torre goes with Moose and Javy on four days rest?
-
I blame Rivera and Lofton. What kind of CF stops in mid chase of the ball? I can already see the papers tomorrow ... "Curse Reversed" or something like that ..
-
I'm not sure where you live Anglesault, but I'm guessing you live in the tri state area. I don't agree with any of it either, but your watching the game on YES, how does it affect you?
-
Alright. I know I've said bad things about Tanyon Sturtze before. I've said things about him that would get me slapped in the face by my parents. But after tonight, I officially love him.
-
Man, Millar is like in the Mo Vaughn level of speed. How he didn't get safe at first is beyond me.
-
Nice job by Sturtze so far. Anytime he faces a good team, he does good. Nice job so far against the Sox, and did his first great job in relief early in the season against Okland. I just wish he pitched like this ALL the time.

This home plate ump might be the worst ump EVER. Jesus christ.
-
I doubt there getting this in. Its only the bottom of the third, and by the time the delay finally ends, it'll be atleast 9:30. And with the way El Duques struggling, there not gonna get through five by 10, which is when its supposed to start pooring. I'm not really complaining though. Cause our offense looked like shit through two innings.
-
I'm gonna lose ten pounds watching this game.
-
True, but we usually have trouble with not so great pitchers.
-
Anglesault, it's still on. Jeter just made the catch, so theres still some left to see.
-
I'm watching the Yanks/Sox 13 inning game on YES right now, and its got me pumped for tomorrow. It better not fucking rain.

I'm doing WCW 93 or 94. I forgot, because in my game , it says its 2004. So in my game, I pretty much got rid of all the dead weight, kept around the main guys, built up new talent, and kept some old guys to help build new stars. I'm about a year and 10 months in, with a couple months until Starcade. In two year's, I've had two world champions. Sting had the title in the scenario, and Flair beat him for the title soon after. Hes had the belt and hasn't dropped it since. The problem was, I didn't have many challengers for Flair beside Sting, cause my roster was pretty blah. I tried to put Luger with him, but Luger sucked, so I dropped him. Before I go any further, I have to talk about the Horseman. In the scenario, the Horseman were Flair, Double A, and Sid. I'm not that good with WCW history, so I wasn't sure if that was right. I tried to let Sid put new talent over, but he wasn't working with me. His moral went down to like zero, so I kicked him out of the Horseman. Later that night, Curt Henning debuted, joined the Horseman, and cost Sting the World title. Fast foward 8 months later, where Barry Windham is kicked out of the horseman. Windham didn't do any complaining or anything, he just didn't do much. The only thing he did do right was tag with Arn in a great feud for the tag titles against The Great Muta and Jushin Thunder Liger. They took over the spot as main face tag team, because the Steiners were just sucking. So later that night, Jeff Jarret (who I built up as a big face) turns heel, joins the Horseman, and you guessed it, costs Sting the World Title. I'm gonna blow off the Sting/Flair feud at Starcade, with Sting FINALLY winning the belt. Some other feuds I've got going - Pillman/Jarret. When Jarret joined the Horseman, he "disrespected" WCW. Pillman is defending the honor of WCW, which is going to lead to a huge blowoff at Starcade. Liger/Austin. Liger just lost the tag titles due to Austin and Camp Cornette. They'll fight over the US Title, leading into a match at Starcade and beyond. Al Snow/Cactus Jack. This has been one of my favorite feuds. Before I started it, Cactus hadn't really done anything since I brought him in. It's done huge things for both guys, and its been pretty easy to book considering the multi man match possibilities I have with the rest of New Generation and Vader and Rude. Diamond Kings/Douglas and Scorpio. Just a feud to get Scorpio and Douglas get going as a team, and to keep developing the Diamond Mind. Not sure who to put over. With Tully injured and Hansen in rehab, Dusty evens the odds in this feud with a 6 man tag at Starcade. Muta/Vader. Just a feud to get Vader going as I'm going to fued him and Sting for the World Title. Another thing I have going is a TON of stables. The Horseman (Heel) - Flair, Arn, Henning and Jarret The Diamond Kings (Heel) - Diamond Dallas Page, Kevin Stud, Scott Cash New Generation (Face) - Al Snow, Lion Heart, and Lance Storm The Alliance (Heel) - Vader, Rick Rude, Cactus Jack Camp Cornette (Heel) - "Stunning" Steve Austin, James E. Cornette, Jimmy Garvin, Michael P.S Hayes, and Steven Regal The Union (Face) - Dusty Rhodes, Tully Blanchard, and Stan Hansen Other random cool things I've done are, make Steve Austin a upper mid carder as his old Hollywood Blond gimmick, make Al Snow a loveable face, made Brian Pillman an upper mid carder, made Shane Douglas and Too Cold Scorpio a credible tag team, and built up Jushin Thunder Liger and The Great Muta as main eventers. I know this was a pretty long post, but I'm bored.

EDIT: Double post.

Did anybody see Jeter's home run? What a bomb. It hit the video screen in left center.

That's what Reynolds said. Kruk agreed with him, but than said Schilling should win. Another example of BTN's growing idiocy was giving Kyle Lohse a 6 has number 3 starter. First of all he's not the third starter. It's Jose Silva, second no way in hell is he a 6. He' lucky to be a 1. It just continues to show they don't follow any team but the Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, Cardnials, and Barry Bonds. The worst was Harold giving Kelvim Escobar a NINE.
