They just interviewed Randy Levine. He said the Yankees are sending some type of case to the comminsioners office to investigate if the Ray's could have gotten out of Tampa. EDIT: If Yankees lose the forfeit request, which OF COURSE they will, then that means they would have to play Tampa Bay (IF NECESSARY) on that Monday right before playoffs. So if somehow they are up by a 1/2 game in AL EAST or wild card, or down a 1/2 game in AL EAST or wild card, then they have to burn either a Duque, Mussina, Lieber or Vazquez to start the DAY BEFORE the playoffs start.
-
It's crap. How are they not forefiting? We already delayed the game 2 fucking hours. Now we only get to play one game of the doubleheader, and they reschedule it for another day? bullshit.
-
How is 3 Gibson's home run? It was fucking game ONE!!
-
For the most part, the rotation looked very good this week. El Duque and Lieber had excellent starts, Brown gave up 3 runs in 6 innings, Mussina had a good start, and Vazquez had a good start today.
-
And Hasley's going on Wednesday. Although hes doing really really good in Triple A. And how was the way K-Rod blocked the plate illegal?
-
I wasn't saying to keep Manning at all, I was just saying the Giants have targets for him to pass to, if he were to start.
-
How does Manning have nobody to pass to? Hiliard, Toomer, Shockey?
-
Julio walks Posada with the bases loaded, and the Yanks win. EDIT: I just realized the difference our team is with Jeter in the leadoff spot. He gets the first run on his own by singleing, stealing 2nd, and third and home on a error. He leads off with a walk in the 9th, steals 2nd, and gets into to scoring position so Bernie can bunt.

Man our offense blows. I remember in June and July when we murdered the Baltimore bullpen every single game. We can't even get a hit on them now.
-
It's not about what happened to the Yankees, its about what happened to Javier Vazquez. Man what a bust.
-
And Ortiz hit's a homerun. jesus christ.
-
Wow. Nobody on the Yankees is doing ANYTHING right. MO just gave up FOUR runs.
-
Man, we have two hits against Sidney Ponson. I try to be positive, but this is pathetic.
-
Hey, could we void Brown's contract for this? Cause if we get Pavano or Clement in the off season, I doubt we'll need him.
-
Indeed. Honestly, the day Wells pitched that gem last year, I had given up on the Yankees. If my memory is correct, that was the first week of the NFL season. I was watching the Giants game, not even caring about the Yankees. We won that game, and then won 8 in a row. I think we'll straighten ourselves out. We always do. We struggled at the end of 98, 96, 00, and last year too. These are yearly occurences for us.
-
Alright. Do you ever have ANYTHING positive to say?
-
Atleast Quantril and Gordon looked better tonight.
-
Well, some of them look like they care. Cairo, Jeter, and um ... yea.
-
Trust me, I was spazing when I heard Brown was injured. Hell, I was spazing when we were losing. When your a Yankee fan, you, or I anyway can tell if it's one of those "nights" where we just have nothing. Tonight was one of those nights. The thing that annoys me is that it seems like the Yankees don't care. I just watched the Angels/Redsox game on Wednesday, and it seems like the Sox players are always going nuts, hitting everything, and giving it 100%. Its the complete opposite with the Yankees.
-
Well you know, the last two years, the wild card winners have won the World Series.
-
And about Brown, you should go to the YES site and see the postgame interviews. Man was Posada pissed. EDIT: Yea, they got it down to 1 and a half, then Wells pitched a gem on Labor Day against them, and we went onto win 8 games in a row.
-
Do you honestly expect them, with the way their playing now, to win every single game against them?
-
Sure the Yankees haven't played incredible like they did in the first half, but it's not like they've lost every game. Yes, there's no excuses losing six out of seven, yes there's no excuses losing to teams you should beat. But what are they supposed to do, when the team chasing them can't lose? Should this motivate them? Yes. But if the Sox stay THIS hot, there's nothing they can do. EDIT: Look at Santana's stats, he's like 14-2, with a 1.66 ERA in in his something starts. Seriously, go look at his last 10 starts, he's incredible. True they don't have much after Santana, but they whopped our asses anyway.
-
You shouldn't. But I'd rather be in the playoffs then not be in the playoffs. Also, the winner of the AL East has to face the twins, which means you have to face Santana. He pitched a one hitter tonight. I don't remember the last time he pitched a bad game.
-
It's not really. But it's the only thing right now that makes me feel were still gonna make the playoffs. We could blow that lead too, but honestly, we can't play that bad, right?
