Meanwhile, in Trenton, Phillip Hughes gos 6 innings, giving up 1 run and strikeing out 13.

The Yankees aren't making Del Rosa look like CY Young, their just hitting the ball right to fielders every AB. Their hitting every ball hard.
-
The Sox are 4.5 (I think) out of the WC now. I wouldn't call them spoilers at this point, especailly with them getting everyone back now.
-
Who cares if they had ONE point made it to an allstar game. I don't care if Wade Boggs made the allstar team in 96, he had to freaking platoon at third base with Charlie Hayes. Just because a player on that team had made the allstar game 8 years prior, doesn't mean he's just as goood now. That statement honestly means nothing. edit: Yanks had 3 allstars in 96, Boggs (shouldn't have been), Wettland and Pettite.
-
I totally realize that. I just find it ridiculous how anyone can call him "clueless joe" after the success he's had. He's a good manager. He's doing something right. The 1996 won because they had Mo and Wettland. They had an again Wade Boggs platooning with Charlie Hayes, Mario Duncan at 2nd base, and absolutley no power besides Stawberry and Cecill. They didn't have great starting pitching. They had Pettie, half a season of David Cone, and an aging Jimmy Keys and Kenny Rogers!?@ the 2000 team had an ageing O'Neil, an ageing Tino, an ageing Brosouis ect. They only won 89 freaking games that year. I don't care how many good players hes had, Joe Torre is not "clueless"

Joe Torre has won FOUR world titles, he's been to the WS 6 times, hes made the playoffs in all 10 of his seasons as coach, and about to be 11. If hes clueless Joe after that, I wonder what teams like the Royals call their managers.

WHY IS SCOTT PROCTOR PITCHING WITH A SIX RUN LEAD!?!?!?!?!?!:??????
-
That ump had a PERFECT, absolute PERFECT view of that play at home, and he still gets it wrong. I don't care much with a nine game lead, but the umps eyes were RIGHT on home plate, the runners hand wasn't close to home plate, and he still made the wrong call! Unreal.
-
I'm not bitter or anything, but that was such a better example of "runner interference" than when the ump called it on the Yanks in game 5 against the Angels last year.
-
WOW did ESPNnews kill that. HAHA.
-
If he gets it, it has to be the first time a pitchers hit a HRer while also pitchig a no hitter, right?
-
I think Gordon's postseason struggles are due to the fact he was exhausted by the time the playoffs came around both years he was a Yankee.
-
That was amazing. Agassi's back was about to fall out, Baghdatis couldn't move from the cramps, and they just kept fighting, and fighting, and figthting. Unreal match. Surreal.

Anyone in need of a laugh, put on Pats/Giants. Brandon Jacobs is literally running over the Pats defense, 1st, 2nd and 3rd stringers.
-
He compliments Wang on his season, but the entire article is basically Neyer talking about how it will be impossible for him to keep his success up, while comparing him to past pitchers who had low K/9 like him. It's not really a positive article.
-
How can someone so good like A-Rod, who is such a great hitter, slump for so god damn long? Its getting a tad ridiculous at this point.
-
How do you boo Proctor after this year? Honestly?
-
That's why Mariano Rivera is the MVP of the last decade. edit: Don't fucking boo Scott Proctor, bunch of idiots.
-
Another great performance from Wang. Picks up win number 16, and he has a nice shot at gertting 20, with about five or six starts left.
-
Anybody see the Redsox lineup tonight? Not pretty.
-
I fucking loved the finale. The whole Ari dilema with him trying to get the Ramones script back, then the ensuing meetings Vince and co. had with other agents had me laughing so hard.
-
I'd do that trade. Regardless of how good Wang has been, Willis is better. And sure Cabrera doesn't have all the tools of A-Rod, but hes a incredible hitter, and they both get paid little to nothing! Unless your laughing at this trade for the fact this caller thinks the Marlins would accept it. edit: Jerome!! HAHA. I bet that guy had a heart attack. HAHA.

I think Nixon had a bigger effect actually. Before he got injured, Manny had somewhat of a protection behind him. Now, teams are pitching to Ortiz, then just walking manny, and you either have Hinskie, or Pena, or Lopez!? batting behind Manny. Now that Manny's hurt, Ortiz gets nothing. I saw their lineup today, its just brutal. edit: Cla Merideth and his 20 shutout innings could have helped too, KingPK. edit2: 3 More Ks for A-Rod today. 1-15 in the series with 10 ks.

Wow, JJ Putz is REALLY good.
