I cannot remember a game where an ump was so biased towards the home team. I uasually don't say much about umping, but tonights has been so obviously unfair, I think an 9 year old would have noticed.

Hasn't the Sox infield always been considered shitty?

After that walkoff homerun he gave up in game 4 of the 2003 World Series? Are you kidding me? Yankee fans would kill him if he ever put on the pinstripes again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Everyone forgets the scoreless inning he pitched before the HRer. Its also not his fault Torre brought him in instead of Rivera.

I'd do a playoff game in every possible tie.

Exactly. Whoever made those tiebreaker rules were on crack.

The White Sox are sitting six regulars. Did you have to get my hopes up Ozzie? Why did he have to lie about this? If your gonna rest your players, then just say you are. No, "I respect Torre and Francona" shit.

From what I've read, the Yankees farm system isn't in shambles, its just most of their prospects aren't going to be ready for a long while. Or I could be wrong.

Screw you Red Sox fans and your negativitey that always causes you to win.

The Sox middle relief is much better than the Yankees. Myers, Hansen, Braford, ect ... all CAN get hitters out. Maybe they'll give up a run, but they'll get out of an inning. Felix Rodriguez, Tanyon Sturtze, Allan Embree, Ramiro Mendoza, Al Leiter, can honestly NOT. Our 3rd guy right now out of the pen is Scott Proctor, who I admit has done a decent job.

They go into streaks, mostly against pitchers like Wells (not a greatfastball, but a very good curveball), where they just swing at the first thing they see.

The Yankees bunt on Wells because of a bad back? HA! This coming from a team that didn't bunt once on a guy with an ankle that was basically shattered.

I kind of blame myself for the Yankees losing last year. If only I hadn't gotten Muggy to admit he cursed the Sox.

Huh? The White Sox clinched the division because even if the Indians sweep, no other team can have 96 wins with the Sox and Yanks playing each other. So, because the White Sox have the season series, they win the division. So I'm asking, if the Indians lose 2 out of three, and the Sox win 2 of 3, there is no playoff because the Yankees have the season series, and the Sox have a better record than the Indians. right?

If the Sox take two out of three from the Yanks, but the Indians lose the series to the White Sox, does the same rule apply to the Indians/White Sox thing, where there is no playoff and because the Yanks win the season series, the Yankees win the dvision?

Tonight is the huge game. If Wang has a good start and the Yanks win, The Yanks can basically relax and go out and play knowing they have a safety net in a one game playoff at the Stadium. If they lose, Oy.

Sure I'm angry they lost, but what can you do? Would you have rather had the Sox sweep or win three out of four, leaving us tied going into tomorrow? I'm thankful the Jays played there asses off, giving us a lead for tomorrow. Also, Papelbon probably can't pitch tomorrow, so its Timlin and Hansen (will he handle pitching in this kind of atmosphere?) and the rest of not so good Boston relievers. Not that I can say much about ours beside Mo and Gordon.

How can you hate on The Blue Jays right now? After they've won two games in the series, with a chance at THREE?

Oh boy. Bases loaded with Sturtze coming in. edit: Phew. Also, I'd like to again say how angry I am that Al is always right. I really thought I had him with the Sturtze being good debate.

If the Indians sweep, it means they automatically win the WC as the Sox play the Yankees and one team has to lose 2 or more games. The White Sox have the season series over the Indians, so there is no playoff, and the Indians take the WC. I think thats right.

Eh-Hem. Mr. Feeley has been money for the Giants so far.
