I had that thought last weekend and was going to beat you to the punch. Tomorrow's game is essentially a must win for the Red Sox, because they're done if they go down two games. There's no way in hell they will sweep the Yankees at home (especially since they will probably stink against Wang, like they have against almost every pitcher they have faced for the first time this year). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They faced him on the sunday night game in which Mussina pitched awful and Wells went 8 2//3rds of brilliant pitching. Whatever, I'm just as nervous as any Red Sox fan. If it stays even after tonight, I just don't see us beating you guys 2 out of three in Boston. I think its coming down to a playoff at Yankee Stadium.

That wasn't even close. How could the ump call him out?!?
-
Doesn't mean anything if the Yankees aren't going to score.
-
Schillings first game as closer was a good game. So was Leiters start with the Cora DP. I'm really looking foward to Saturday and especailly Sunday. Both teams will be using all their pitchers if neccessary, I assume.
-
Joe doesn't think Embree is good. The thing is, there's no one else. Atleast Embree throws strikes.
-
Leiter (since going to the pen), F-Rod, Franklin and Embree haven't been bad the whole year? Proctor I don't mind, hes been good. Edit: Thinking about, how basically I see everyone complain about their own teams bullpen, it really says a lot about the amount of good relivers now a days.

Bonds hits 708, and the Giants lead 3-0.
-
Hey Al, did you guys brainwash Felix Rodriguez to suck once you traded him to us? How in the world was this guy a set up man for a world series team?
-
Yeah, I don't think the Yanks' pitiful offense could come back from a massive two-run deficit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have no doubt they can. But this bullpen isn't getting anyone out. edit: See my point?
-
Probably because before the walk, he K'd Jeter and A-Rod both looking. Difference between their ABs and Sheff's is that they were looking for changeups, and got caught looking on fastballs, while Sheff was dead red.

Theres the Mussina I know. Edit: Before you all tell me hows hes been a steady rock for us since 01 and a huge stopper, this year has just been horrid. He either has it for a start, or he doesn't. And most of this year, he hasn't.

I'm just going to pray Wakefields amazing run ends Saturday.
-
And Urbina blows it.
-
Wow, then I'm mistaken. edit: Thanks for the jinx guys.

I actually agree with The Don on this one. Its a testiment to how much talent the Yankees have, but they hit so bad with RISP, yet they still somehow win games. It gets so bad at times that the Yankees usually have more runners left on base than actual hits.

Yankees have Wang, RJ and Moose going in the Sox series. I'm terrified of the Friday night game. Wang pitched ok against the Sox in mop up work, but that was in a 9-2 loss. Although, Wang has been a complete ground ball machine lately. I think whoever wins the Friday game wins the division.

I feel terrible for Eli Manning. His breakout performance is the night the Giants D shows show truley pathetic it is.
-
I've never seen such a terrible D in my life. They've scored a TD on all but two posessions.
-
Did I say that already or what? Just horrific.
-
WOW! What a catch by Shockey!
-
Are you KIDDING ME? How much more obvious can a pass inference call be?!? Edit: All the turnovers have really been a smoke screen to the Giant D. It really is terrible. Edit2: UGH. I don't think the D has stopped a play less than five yards.
-
Giants need to start faking the Jacobs run on 3rd and short.
-
The Patriots are like the 1st half Nationals. They win every damn close game. The thing is, thats never going to fucking end.
-
Sorry, the Giants have the worst secondary in the NFL. They've gotten so desperate that their benching Will Allen and starting our 2nd round draft pick Corey Webster instead.
-
Were the first two not great? I thought thats what you want in a postseason series?
