Sierra saved our season twice last year. The double against Oakland, and the HRer agains the Twins. Do it again Rube, please. EDIT: And he Ks on a pitch two feet above his head. Ugh.

Even though they gave Javy away for RJ, yu can't bash the Yankees for making that trade, with them THINKING that Giambi would continue to hit 30 + HRers with 100+ RBIs, and getting Javy in return.

I'm not saying they haven't made good decisions. I'm just saying its fairly ovbious that George wanted RJ over Javy and Halsey, George wanted Sheff instead of VLad, George wanted Giambi over Tino ect ..

There'd be no point in firing Cashman. Its George whos made all the bad choices, and whos calling the shots.

I don't want it to happen, and I don't think it will, but I can defitintley see Torre being fired before the season is over. This team has quit on him.

Mussina treats BRENT ABERNATHY like Barry Bonds, leading to a three run HRer by Lou Ford. It cannot get any worse, I think.

And don't start on how he struggled. Somebody of Javys caliber, when not injured, when he was signed to be an ace, has no right to struggle for half a season and the playoffs.

    This Week In Baseball

We just got swept by the Royals in seriously the most pathetic three games I've ever seen them play. The amount of dumbass plays commited in the last three games seriously reminds me of the complaining done by cubs fans last year when a Cubs player made a running mistake everday. Whether it was Bernie getting thrown out at 2nd trying to tag up and killing a rally, or Giambi getting caught in a run down, or Wolmack getting picked off. The starting pitching was once again bad. Brown and Pavano blew chunks, Pavanos given up now TWENTY more hits than innings, and 14 home runs. The D was pathetic. Bernie throwing to the wrong base, Cano killing a double play, Posada with three passed balls. Also, nobody is hitting, absolutley no one. The Royals starting pitching, horrible beside Grenkie, kept us down, including a 4 hitter against a guy with a NINE era. Their bullpen held us to one run in ten innings. The only positive I can get out of this series is that Tanyon Sturtze and Gordon continue to dominate, both with ERAS now under two. I honestly wouldn't be shocked to be swept by the Twins.

And were swept. Bring on the Twins and Cards! *sigh* I'm guessing another shakeup tomorrow,.

I'm guarenting the Yanks lose tonight. They were 4 hit by someone with a 9.18 ERA.

I thought Manny bats ahead of Ortiz?

If the words, DON'T PITCH TO DAVID ORTIZ WITH A GAME ON THE LINE aren't at the top of every teams scouting reports against the Red Sox, it needs to start now. I *think* there were runners on 2nd and 3rd, and in that case, I don't care it lefty/lefty, I walk Ortiz.

Why is that every team in the world can kill the Royals pitching, while we can't? Pathetic.

Yankees about to hit rockbottom for the 2nd time this year, getting shut out by the Royals.

Why is it that everyone in the world can hit Tim Wakefield beside the Yankees? I just don't get it. EDIT: And RJ has already given up two runs. *sigh* What is it with Randy Johnson and sliders? He gotten everyone out lately with fastballs, but all the runs hes given up, now three today, came off SUCKY sliders.

Not really, it was more the Yankees fucking up. Bernie getting a pathetic jump on Stairs double which Matsui would have had, Matt Stairs of all people tagging up easily on a catch in short CF by Bernie which reached the cut off man on a bounce, Cano throwing it past Tino when he had no chance on the double play, A-Rod throwing to first on the impossible throw when he should have not thrown it with a runner on 2nd, Wolmack getting picked off 1st, Posada swinging at a 2-0 pitch after Cisco hadn't thrown ONE strike in the inning, Bernie and Rube not swinging ONCE with Matsui on 1st, Jwter swinging at three HORRIBLE pitches in the 9th. Tell me if I left anything out.

And the Yankees lose to Kansas City, because dumbass Torre can't figure out that Bernie can't catch shit in center anymore. He cost us two runs, and add in the fact the Yankees have one non HR run in the last 6 six games, you can see why they lost to god damn Kansas City.

    This Week In Baseball

Wolmack just might have commited one of the stupidest plays I've ever seen. First and third, one out with A-Rod up, and he GETS PICKED OFF. Where the HELL ARE YOU GOING TONY, or do you WANT TO TAKE AN AB AWAY FROM A-ROD? Christ.
  20. mike546

    What players do you

WHY?! they didn't say one shit thing about your Yankees... and all of them actually have alot of respect for the Yankees. You can bash Pedro (when he was with the Red Sox) or Schilling, but these guys? Kevin Millar: This guys talks a lot of shit for no reason. He was one of the Sox in the offseason who verbally attacked A-Rod for no apparent reason, other than the fact that he isn't a "true Yankee" like Jeter and Bernie and such are. This is a guy who signed to play in Japan before Boston rescued his dumbass. If he was a better player, and more important to his own team then I could give him a little leeway, but, well, he isn't. The same dumbass who hit 3 homeruns against the Yankees in one game as I remember. The Yankees won that game.

Just got back from the game, and Mussina was god awful. Its been hit or miss with him the whole year. If his fastball is 91-94, hes great. If hes 86-89 like it was tonight, hes awful.

Depends on whos pitching. Radke, Silva, Loshe and co. have never given us much trouble. If Browns pitching, we'll have issues on the turf with the D. I'm definitley worried.

I'm guessing its not the Yanks, so, the Pads?

Has anybody before this hit a HRer into the upper deck of LF at Yankee Stadium? What a shot. edit: While Al proves me wrong basically everytime I disagree with him, STURTZE has been awesome this year, and no fluke.

    This Week In Baseball

What I saw from RJ: He was trying to shutup the critics by throwing real real hard in the early innings, because he was 94-97 for the first three innings. He couldn't control his fastball for shit, and his slider sucked again as Varitek hit it for the homer. He was gassed by the six, and if not for two great Yankee throws, he'd have given up 5 runs. Bottom line: Not good, and don't read the papers tomorrow Randy
