    This Week In Baseball

How do they have the most complete team? Thats very arguable. I'd put Bostons, NYs and the Os hitting all on the same level. Starting pitching isn't even close. For a whole season, its the Yankees and the Sox followed by the Os. Right now the Os rotation is better than the Sox. I just can't possibilly see Bedard, Jeckyl and Hyde according to BB2N keeping it up an entire season. Neither have pitched 200 innings in their careers. Ponson is a headcase, and can't be trusted. Chens great, but hes not going to carry your rotation. The Os bullpen is being overwork to death, Ryan and Julio our on pace for 90+ innings. You can hit all you want, but when it comes to the late months of September and October, I can't see this team staying in 1st.

Bedard goes on the DL for the Os, they really can't catch a break.

Forgot to mention this before, but if anyone who has the YES channel cares, theres a replay of the hour and a half interview with Steinbrenner at 9PM. Thought it was really interesting.

A-Rod officially cannot be a complete player. Now that he can hit again, he boots an easy ground ball hit by PEDRO FUCKING MARTINEZ, leading to two to runs.

Yankees making Pedro WORK~!, 31 pitches through one.

RJ struggles again today, giving up 12 hits to the Mets, and four runs. I think the groin is bugging him, and I wouldn't be shocked to see him go on the DL.

Just watched the end of the Sox game, and Foulke is still having issues. Two bomb doubles, an error, two runs, and a double play to end the game.

I wonder that all the bad hatred the Yankee players have from Brown is carrying over to this year. The D in his last two starts seriously makes me wonder if they WANT him to lose.

    The OC

Trey is 100% dead. He was lieing face down on the ground, after being shot in the chest. No way hes alive.

That would have basically killed of all confidence Giambi would have. If Tinos a righty yes, but a lefty for a lefty? Bah. Its one game, but its one game the Yankees I swear tried to lose. And its not Tom Gordons fault that a. Womack can't field a ball (which like Al said, he shouldn't play LF anyway) and b. the damn ump can't see Reed came off the bag.

In his case, he had a decent trip. But that AB was pathetic. Honestly, RIGHT DOWN THE GOD DAMN MIDDLE.

Sure I'm being negative, but the Yankees aren't winning this game. Its just one of those nights. Edit: Fucking Womack. If the Yanks do lose this game, what an awful game to lose. All Posada has to do is pick up the DAMN BALL on the K, but instead drops it. Sheff makes a pathetic throw that ties the game, Womack turns a double into a triple, and Gordon gives up the game winning hit to a .194 hitter. Edit 2: Holy crap, just when it couldn't get any worse, Sheff is a dumbass and doesn't get to third on a single, which takes away TWO TIMES when he would have scored later in the inning. And ironically, the game comes down to Giambi, who looks at three pitches RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE TO END THE GAME. Christ, worst game this season.

A-Rod hits his 14th HRer and the Yanks already lead 4-0. I'm sadened Pedro isn't pitching on Friday, him against the 11 games in a row streaking Yanks would have been fun.

Oh, now your comparing them. After I get bashed for saying the same thing a week ago. Seriously though, it was a stress free 133 pitches. He completley dominated the entire game, it was just the 9th where he had trouble.

With no help from your pitching. As the Yankees learned last year, you'll need pitching eventually.

Not sure if this is true, but somebody in a fantasy baseball draft just told me that the Cubs announced during the game Wood would be closer when he comes back. Is this true?

The real problem is that a punchless middle infielder is playing left field in the first place. They could call up any outfielder from Colombus and get better production. But its not MUCH different than from before. Bernie was in CF, and Womack was at 2nd. Now, Womacks in left. Sure, hes not a typical LF, and his offensive isn't good enough for him to stay there. BUT, the hitting they've gotten from Cano + the offesnsive they've gotten from Womack has in my opinion been better than Womack at 2nd and Bernie in CF. Honestly, I believe your right Al. But just like with the Giambi situation, there paying Womack, and unless they just release him, hes going to play.
