Oh come on, sure the Yankees are struggling early, but their STILL only 6.5 games back, with 13 games left to play against the Os and Boston. That might be helpful if they were going to win those games. The fact of the matter is that despite all the money the Yankees have spent, they really don't have all that talented of a team. Brian Cashman's done the worst job in the majors, GM-wise, as with all that money, he didn't sign any good young players that would be solid in the future. The Yankees are stuck paying a bunch of washed-up guys that were decent a couple years ago $10+ million per season, and they're still nothing more than an average ballclub. The Blue Jays have as good of a shot at making the postseason as the Yankees do. Adding on to what Cena said, not everythings in Cashmans hands. He wanted V-Lad, George signed Sheff. Theres been a ton of times where Cashman has been overruled.

They were playing the same team that found a way to pull this off. That's really weird, I don't remember that game at all. Here's one: I was sitting in the box seats at Yankee Stadium last Labor Day getting ready for some Yanks/D-Rays action on a sunny day, and TB doesn't show up for hours and hours later, and the 1:00 game is played at like 8 that night. Of course, I had to leave the Stadium rather that wait around all day and night because I had to get back to school. That was a major WTF right there. There was seriously a 3 page argument over that whole fiasco in the MLB thread at the time. I'll admit I was wrong, but Angelsault bitched a lot worse.

Um, how has RJ been a dissapoinment? He had a rocky start, sure, but hes been dominant lately. His last three starts, 8 IP 1 run, 9 IP 2 runs, 8 IP 3 runs. You can tell hes starting to heat up. Moose has been very good his last two starts. Early, he couldn't hit 90 on the radar gun, and his control was out of wack. In his last two starts, both gems, hes been getting the ball up to 92 MPH. Hell, he was still throwing strong 92 MPH at 130 + pitches. Pavano has been inconsistent, sure, but hes been ok. Hes had 4 great starts, and 3 bad ones. He wasn't on today, but 5 of his runs were unearned. If A-Rod turns the DP in the first, can you honestly say he ends up giving 9 runs? I don't. Maybe I'm crazy for having hope in Brown, but in his two good starts against Anaheim and the As, I've seen his great stuff. Hes still capable of being a good pitcher with a 3.50 ERA. All he has to do is realize that hes not 25 anymore, and can't over power hitters like he used too. Again, if I'm totally wrong, someone tell me. Wang has been good, and what hes done is far better than what he needs to do to stay around here. I don't see Wright coming back this year from his injury, and while we don't have much, we know we'll pick up SOMEBODY decent at the deadline. Maybe I'm just dreaming, but I'm a lot more confident in this years rotation than last year.

I'm still pretty pleased with the Yankees pitching right now. RJ has been terrfic lately, Moose has been great lately, Beside today, Pavano has looked decent, Brown has sucked, and Wang has been terrific. I honestly expect Brown to continue to right his ship for some reason, maybe for the fact he still has great stuff.

Yankees are killing Moyer, 6-5 Yankees. Pavanos really weird today. 4 Ks through 2 innings, but 5 runs. Why are you always right Al? Can't for once, your stats about periperals(sp) and hits allowed, and how Pavanos year was in luck to his great D, be you know, wrong?
-
Pavano has nothing today, already 5-0 Ms. Ugh. Atleast he struck out the side. Oh well, way to kill any momentum we had.

Hes in a no win situation if they ask him to go down. If he says no, everyone will know all he cares about is money.

4:1 says they are going to ask Giambi to move back to left field. Even better, apparently they plan on asking Giambi to accept a minors assignment. It is nice to see the Yankees' brilliant plan involves placing a hitter with a .386 OBP on the bench while Tony Womack plays left field. And I'm beginning to gather the impression that Vicente Padilla SUCKS. I'd honestly have Tony Womack, whos able to actually make CONTACT with the ball, then Jason Giambi. I don't care about his walks, hes absolutely pathetic at the bat right now. So it is better to have a hitter who makes contact and outs? Well him making contact has turned into two game winning hits this season, so ha!

And Tino homers AGAIN.

Gammons is reporting the Yankees might make a pre-draft deal with Jerred Weaver when he re enters the draft. Is that possible, with the Yankees having the 17th pick? Edit: What the hell, interleague play starts NEXT week??
-
Three in a row! *faints*
-
Who the hell is Joe Torre, Dusty Baker? Two days after Moose throws 133, RJ throws 118 over 8 innings.
-
Jesus, Tino is on some kind of power streak.
-
I'll take Wang. Atleast he can get through six innings.
-
Moose is still an above average pitcher, great on a good day. Brown on the other hand, theres no excuse.
-
While I have no right to speak being a Yankee fan right now, if you can't score with the bases loaded and no outs against KEVIN BROWN, you have problems.
-
He has an extra day off, his real next start wouild be on a travel day.
-
Even more pathetic that they couldn't score against an absolutley gased Mike Mussina in the 9th.
-
The 2nd comment was for bringing in Javy.
-
While Weaver had no right in the game, no one remembers the scoreless inning he pitched that game. Nobody remembers Aarone Boone striking out with the bases loaded and one out. Sure Weaver suckeed as a Yankee, but I still refuse to blame him for that game. Vern, who else were they going to bring in? Moose couldn't, El Duque couldn't, Quantril was shot, obviously not Mo or Gordon, Sturtze was shot, Heredia would have killed someone.
-
Take him please. Hes Heredia to the 2nd power.

For the Shaq argument, can you honestly say no other point guard couldn't have produced like Nash did with Amare, Joe Johnson ect ... playing with them? I can guartnee Wade, Marbury, Bibby would have produced the same results.
