The D-Rays are worse than the Angels. BUNT, RUN, RUN, STEAL, SINGLE, STEAL, HIT AND RUN, BUNT, BUNT, RUN, STEAL. *sigh*
-
Why is Quantril still in? Hes obviously got nothing left.
-
Cano makes a costly error on a DP that gives the Rays two runs. Welcome to the majors.
-
I think Jason Giambi has created a new defenition for being the worst hitter ever. Honestly, in all truth, the guy strikes out EVERY SINGLE AB. No joke, look at his game logs. EVERYONE. The guy cannot make contact. Hes either walked or K'd in 41 of his 69 ABs.

Randy Choate? Sure our bullpen is pretty bad, but Randy Choate?
-
And Felix Rodriguez wonders why Joe doesn't use him.
-
Does YES lie to all their TV viewers? I swear they mention that Yankeeoagraphy and Centerstage won an emmy everytime time they have commercials.
-
Kevin Brown is done. ugh.
-
How can you bash the David justice deal? He saved the Yankees that year. And Matsui is the best Cf on the Yankees, he played great there in 03. Everything else I agree with.
-
Wolmacks never played LF in his life. God help us.
-
Of all the great ideas to help teams win pennant, I never placed "Play Womack in LF" among the top. What would you recommend?

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/05/03/sports/b...all/03pins.html? Interesting. Cano at 2nd, Wolmack in left, Matsui in CF. RJs out of his next start due to a minor groin injury, which is explained as "if it were a REALLY big game, he'd pitch" and double A pitcher Sean Penn is being called up to make the start. This is something out of the twilight zone.

Andy Phillips run as a starter has probably run out, as he goes for the platinum sombrero, with 5 Ks. I want him to stay up, but I doubt they'll keep him up much longer.
-
Damnit, they always have to kill the characters I like. Damn.

You really want to play this game? Runs Tejada: 19 Jeter: 20 Edge: Jeter +1 Hits Tejada: 37 Jeter: 32 Edge: Tejada +5 Doubles Tejada: 7 Jeter: 5 Edge: Tejada +2 Home Runs Tejada: 9 Jeter: 2 Edge: Tejada +7 RBIs Tejada: 32 Jeter: 11 Edge: Tejada +21 Batting Average Tejada: .372 Jeter: .340 Edge: Tejada +34 On Base Percentage Tejada: .417 Jeter: .462 Edge: Jeter +45 Slugging Percentage Tejada: .737 Jeter: .457 Edge: Tejada +280 (!!!) So, by my total, that a +304 advantage to Tejada, plus his team is in 1st place with the 2nd best record in baseball, Jeter's is in 4th and 7 games back. Seriously get over Jeter. Tejada is the best short stop in baseball, and might be the best player in baseball. Regardless Jeter will be voted in as the starter because of the New York market vote and the rest of casual baseball fans have heard of him... See the smile? I was joking.
-
Tejeda over Jeter? Blashpemy. Tejada has 5 more hits, Jeter has one more run, Tejeda has .40 better average, they both have ridiculous OBP, which has me puzzled for the fact it seems Jeter has gotten like xray contacts, and has gone from impatient to leading the AL in walks. Tejada in a walk in HRs and RBIs, plus the Os are winning.

I'm not too worried about the bullpen. Mo will be Mo, Buddy Groom has been great, Sturtze is Sturtze, and Stanton has been great beside today. Gordon I have no clue whats wrong with him, and Quantril is just getting old.
-
And I understand that. I just see no point in him pitching if he injures his arm every start.
-
I said he should become a closer because of his injury problems, not because hes pitched bad games.
-
Hes also a guy who did most of his damage from April to June last year, and was absolutley nonexistent afterwards. If it was a small slump, it'd be nothing, but he looks horrible at the plate.
-
I'm complaining just for the fact were losing, and struggling. Thats obvious. I'm angry for the Yankees complete lack of effort, and for the fact they they just went 3-6 on a 9 game homestand. But most importantly, the fact that Bernie and Posada are so nonexistent in production right now, its scary. And 7.5 games is a lot to make up. EDIT: To Razas statment, I honestly think the Yankees can rebuild pretty quickly. After this season, Bernie and Brown will be gone. If Bernies still around, we'll sign him as a cheap backup. Karsays contract is up, he'll be gone. If Posada keeps up his suckyness, he'll be a backup next year, and he coulda been what Girardi was to him if the Yanks hadn't traded Navarro. I don't expect the Yankees to ever completley rebuild, but a mixture of rookies and veterans would work.
-
The Yankees officially need to start a youth movement. Call up Cano, let Phillips start everday, and keep Wang in the rotation even when Wright comes back. Put Bernie in the DH, eat Giambis contract and release him, and put Matsui in CF. I don't care if this is considered overeacting, but something needs to change.
-
If the Yankees don't sweep Tampa, I'm officially boycotting them for a week. And question to all those fans of teams who usually suck every year. How bad does it get watching your team suck 162 games a year? They've made the playoffs every year since I started rooting for them.
-
The Yankees hitting and old age is showing through today. Posada looks likes hes aged ten years and can't hit for his life. Bernie can't hit, and pathetically tried to throw Wells out at the plate when he was coming home on a fly ball. It was in shallow CF, and Bernie couldn't even reach the cut off man. *sigh*

While trying to look on the positive side, atleast Stanton gives up runs off hits, unlike Heredia who walked and hit people.
