Fucking umps squeeze Quantril, allowing the Jays to tie the game.

Honestly, why don't they just make him closer? Hes obviously NEVER going to be healthy. Tendinitios (sp?) in two starts in a row, plus all the arm injuries hes had in his career, its just not worth waiting for him to be an ace.

Isn't his only major problem his lack of patience? edit: Holy shit, Mondesi killed that.

Anybody who hits 500. in his last 17 ABs without an RBI is not clutch. Anyway, a win. The starting pitching is better, and I'll take this Wang guy for how long Wrights out anyday. Hell, I'll take him over Wright.

Torre gives Giambi the "you suck" move by PH Andy Phillips for him. EDIT: Never mind, he has leg problems.

Sounds familiar. While I haven't seen a Philies game this year, I'd say the Yankees are a bit more confusing. Sheff is 12 for his last 29, Jeter is 10 for his last 29, Wolmack is 7 for 18, A-Rod is 11 for 31. I just don't get how their not scoring.

Lets start the betting now. How many more losses until George gives another statement? I say two.

RJ just totally ROBBED Hillenbrand of a hit, and is pitching great. In other news, the Yankees can't score.

I think the Yankees best bet is getting Clemens ate the deadline. I don't know how, but its possible, especially how Roger put that clause in his contract.

The frustrating thing with Brown is, hes better when hes tired, and hes looked the old Brown in basically every start beside the first two innings. And I honestly believe the bottom of our order is going to kill us this year. How in the world can you have Jeter batting .365, Sheff batting .341, A-Rod batting .310, and Matsui batting .280, but still can't score any runs?

I still don't get the the "its April" line. If we lose the division by one game, those games in April DEFINITLEY coutned.

You try to look at things positivley, but the Yankees down right suck right now. They can't hit anything.

And the Yankees go back to their usual ways of not being able to hit with RISP. Its really sad.

In Sojos defense, that throw was insane.

While I understand it took a perfect throw from Anderson, how can Sojo send Jete home with no outs, and the big guys in the order coming up? Again though, that throw was insane.

Tino is at first tonight, and Phillips is DHing, thanks to his 1-5 effort last night, and a just missed Home Run.

ESPN is absolutley ridiculous right now. Sure A-Rod didn't have a monster year last year, and sure he hasn't come up big, but there acting like last night was the end of a career slump.

Has he played that position before?

    What exactly were Wangs projections?

Wait, were Wangs projections as good as Wrights STATS this year, or Wrights projections for the season?

Unless I'm mistaken, he won't get that chance. He'll be sent down when Wang is called up to join the rotation. But I could be wrong. Both deserve a chance. Bean has a career 11.68 K/9 rate in the minor leagues, along with a reasonable walk rate and very low HR rate. And according to Baseball Prospectus, Wang's projections were every bit as good as Jaret Wright's, before Wright's injury. Is that really saying much?

David Wells is headed to the DL for about a month with a foot injury. Welcome to hell, Sox fans.

Holy mother of god. A-Rod just hit his 3rd HRer of the night, and has 9 RBIs. wow.

watching Jason Giambi is down right pitiful. His bat is so slow, and he Ks basically every other AB. Phillips is hitting well again tonight, Joe really needs to keep him starting, and DH Tino instead.
