Tom Renney was just fired. He brought respectability back to the Rangers and he's a HELL of a coach but its quite obvious the team has just quit on him.

I would guess it would start with Staal and Korpikoski. Plus some picks.I might give up Korpikoski, but not Staal, and certainly not both. If they want to take either Dawes or Prucha, both of who are playing well right now, then we can talk.
It would take even more than Staal and Korpikoski to get him.

Why does everyone think the lack of Plaxico is THAT big a deal? I understand they struggled in losses to Dallas and Philly, but again Jacobs was inured in both of those games. The Giants didn't have Plaxico against Seattle, basically didn't play at all in their game against the Steelers, was in for one game against the Cardinals, and didn't play in the win against the Redskins. I understand Burress is missed and the Eagles are a tough opponent and the double team effect isn't there, but in all honesty Jacobs is the BIG difference on this team, not Plaxico.

Who on earth made up the schedule? The Sens have played one game since their European sojourn, and don't play again until Friday, when they get a lovely back-to-back against the (surprising) Coyotes and the Bruins.Seriously. Rangers had the back to back in Prague, come home and then play three games in four nights, and then play three games in four nights again this week!!!

Not to over exagerate, but tonight's Yankee/Red Sox game is up there in most depressing Yankee/Sox games I've ever seen. A-Rod has grounded into 2 DPs and is getting booed even in the field, and they just cannot get a big hit. It's really depressing just to see how much the tides have turned when it comes to the Yanks and Sox, as the way these games used to turnout have just flipped. Tonight is probably the nail in the coffin on the season, even if they win the next two.

Well if thats true it can't be that bad. From watching others with that injury, its basically impossible to move after it happens because the pains so bad. Gomex was in pain but he got up and was able to skate to the bench. But if its bad, Rangers are done. It was terrible it became the Czech show and they all decided to give a shit once Gomez left.

Last year it was +/- 73 so heh..anyway no way this team goes 65-97 or worse. Buster Olney was on ESPN saying 56 wins for the Os which would be 56-106 which is just outright rediculous. I dont think this team is as bad as the Tigers were a few years ago.They don't have to be. Those Tigers lost 119 games.
I have no idea why, besides homerism, you're so high on the Orioles. They have one of the bottom three Opening Day rosters in baseball (probably the worst, but I'm being generous), and they play in the toughest division in the majors. Tell me how this team isn't losing a hundred games.
Im not coming in here saying they're going to win 90 games and the wild card but they wont lose 98 games either. theres enough talent thats been added in the OF in Luke Scott and Adam Jones along with a healthy Adam Loewen who could easily put up similar numbers to what Erik Bedard put up if he stays healthy all year, plus Jeremy Guthrie who should have a good season. The Bullpen cant be as abysmal as it was last year or else it would end up being one of the worst all time and they've added Sherrill still have Walker and Bradford. I dont like Luis Hernandez at SS but if he plays solid defensively and gets on base a decent amount of time ahead of Brian Roberts things wont be that bad.
I suppose Im more optimistic than I should be but if you look at it even from a distance they aren't that bad. Roberts/Jones/Markakis/Huff/Millar/Scott/Mora/R.Hernandez/L. Hernandez plus Loewen/Guthrie/Cabrera/Trachsel/?? and a bullpen with Walker/Bradford/Sarfate/Hoey/Cherry/Burres/ set up and Sherrill closing.
the same Adam Loewen who had 26 walks and 22 Ks in 30 innings last year? That guy could easily put up similar numbers to Bedard???

Dawes sucks, Kalinin BLOWS, Prucha is the only player of revalence in this trade but even he hasn't done shit since his first two years in the league. With the additions of Avery and Antropov, there was no fit for Prucha in the lineup anyway. Plus Sather cleared cap room. Morris is going to be the 5th/6th Dman, an improvement over Kalinin. Great trade.
