If HBK actually played heel... and I do mean a real heel, not the way Angle did... then Cena would have most of the crowd on his side. And really... Cena is not a bad wrestler. He knows more than he shows, has great selling, and good timing on the babyface comeback. He doesn't pull out a lot of his stuff because it doesn't fit the gimmick.

Damn, I really wanted Lashley/Khali... it would have been better than a boring and dull Lashley/Test match. I fear Hogan/Khali... Khali needs someone who can bump for him, and the guy is way too top heavy for a decent slam from Hogan... hell, Hogan might actually tear all his muscles in his back this time around going for the move. Nothing good can come from this... neither can bump, or take a move to make they other look good. I shall be loving every second of it.

The loss to Holly is not going to hurt Punk in any way. There are those in the company that think he's going to be one of their next big stars... and those who might be against. Hell, this could also be a "test" to see if Punk will be a flake, like so many of the new school of wrestlers when their push gets scaled back... but I highly doubt that. The feud makes sense because most of the WWE crowd only know Punk as that sXe rookie with a cool submission finisher. Holly has the rep of being a badass midcard guy. It would make sense for him to get at least one victory in this feud if all CM Punk wants to do is prove Holly wrong and beat him with his finisher. It also gets his streak out of the way, before that's all his character becomes. A fucking competitive loss to Holly on the brand that half of WWE fans watch... won't mean jack shit six months down the line when Punk is on his way to challenging for the ECW title, or if he's on one of the two other brands.

I have a serious question. When is the last time anyone here remembers Hardcore Holly tapping? Pinfalls sure, but submissions not so much. This is CM Punk's first real feud. Punk's thing with Knoxx wasn't so much a 'feud' as an extended, extended angle, which is what they've been doing with him since his debut. In this feud, Holly is the tough smashmouth vet and Punk is the upstart rookie sub specialist. While Holly doesn't have much upside that finish wasn't really about him. The whole point of this feud seems to be to get over Punk and his Anaconda Vice. Isn't it completely based around Holly saying you can't make me tap out and Punk trying to prove him wrong? Don't the announcers put over the AV and his MMA/brazilian jujitsu almost every minute? Didn't he make Hardcore tap after the bell and then almost make the man submit in under three minutes or something? What kind of threat is Holly if he doesn't get a pinfall through his smashmoth style? There has to be some give and take cause there's no drama otherwise. This is supposed to be the feud that allows Punk to take Holly's spot in the upper midcard, so a clean job isn't going to kill his momentum when he's going to make Hardcore tap after a hardfought match in the blowoff. No one can deny Punk's over, but he's currently building his fanbase like Cena did during his 03-04 run. Since they have no midcard title, this is what they've come up with. This isn't the feud people should be upset at the writers about cause it actually makes sense, but that's just my opinion. Holy fuck someone else actually gets this feud.

totally. even though i ragged on chave, his indictment of porn a few years ago certainly has a place here. a few people in this thread seem to be living in a fantasy land. a fantasy land which may seem alright now, but certainly seems that it can get out of hand. it does create unrealistic viewpoints of a healthy sexual relationship. wankery to is fine, but analyzation & adaptation to real sexual relationship is begging for trouble.
