Yeah I don't know why some people here thinks WWE is so eager, so willing to make Punk a star by having him go to MSG and get a big time win there. For all we know, they're going to book HHH against Punk where HHH just squashes Punk (I know that is unlikely, but just saying). People here give Vince far too much credit sometimes. Nah... he'll more than likely get a good matchup with someone, win it, then have Shannon Moore attack him while he celebrates, so they can start that epic feud.

This is pretty bad for Jericho when you look at it as him being away from wrestling for what has it been now? A year? This is his first big tv appearance on a nationwide audience since then, and instead of coming off as the super charismatic guy that he should have been, he looked out of his element, a bit nervous, had one bad performance, and was dropped in the first round. Not a good night for him. Though it looks as though Carlton is the only one who really cares about this thing... that humours me.

Mike Knox is a Paul Heyman project. He's the one who wanted him in ECW. I thought that was the whole point of this storyline. I just wish they'd do a little more with Punk outside of the ring.

The last minute of the show really summed up the place that WWE is in right now. Vince McMahon threw what has to be a $10,000 camera over the top rope for no real reason, Shane McMahon choked out Triple H with a steel pipe, guys from ECW and Smackdown were in the ring for no reason that was really explained, and a loud chant of "Vince loves cock" was echoing through the arena. It's all just so incredibly random. Raw for the last four or five weeks has been like what wrestling in an alternate reality might be like. It's just a bunch of weird stuff that nobody likes that it seems like they are pushing even harder to spite the fans who aren't liking it. It's just really mentally draining to try to figure out what the hell they are even trying to accomplish with it all.

The Nitro/Melina set up was incredible, and made Nitro look like a real star -- then he opened his mouth. It went downhill. I think its just a confidence issue, then you had Melina trying to salvage it, and it just went even more downhill.

Somehow, this will lead to Dreamer/RVD/Sabu/Sandman vs Holly/Knox/Show/Test.

I actually think you can still run a respect angle and help put someone over in this day and age. I'm not talking about Cena like respect that he showed Triple H during their build towards Wrestlemania... but sort of what they did with the first match Benjamin/Michaels had. That was perfect for one night... just the way it was built. This was when the crowd was into Benjamin pretty well. The problem though... is that they followed this up by having Shelton job to nearly everyone. It wasn't a put over by Shawn... but it's the closest thing to one we'll ever see from him.

In three years, we'll see "Obsession with Excellence: The Self Destruction of an Olympic Champion" on DVD.
