What is your most hated song ever?

"Amerika The Brutal" - Six Feet Under. An insult to any legacy Chris Barnes had left An insult to a style of music (referring to all heavy metal, not just death metal) that has been ON FIRE in the last 5 years. An insult to Rage Against The Machine. horrible.

Anyone interested in tossing in for the PPV?

doubtful unless you hit him with a huge sad story about how you couldn't find a link posted publicly... speaking of which, I won't be finding a link this month. I'm actually gonna be watching the show proper with friends, nachos, and home brew.

    Death of a Lead Singer

As far as creating intrigue and legend in the underground of Metal, Mayhem is the top of the pops. The story is great if for no other reason then the wonderful irony of their singer's stage name...Dead. Then he fulfilled the prophecy by eating a shotgun. As tribute the band did no less than eat part of his brain in a stew (the guitarist was the first to find him, he too pictures, part of the brain, and skull chunks to be made into jewelry), and use pictures of his corpse as the cover of one of their cd's. The whole thing along with all the intrigue in the 'scene' at the time created a 'gimmick' that is depraved, and livable. Not to mention the band makes some of the most incredible music out there. Their guitarist got stabbed 23 times by a cohort in said 'scene' but that's for another thread....

My review of Opeth from 2/28/04 at Worcester MA

Fellow Maniacs board alumnus jumps on this first. The review was fine enough as another affirmation for people who are already fans of the band and know what they are about. I wouldn't recommend showing this to a curious listener who hasn't heard them because it doesn't really describe the music. By the by, how did Martin look during the show since he had a lot of issues with panic attacks during the canadian swing of their North American trip. Good job randomly showing up looking for hits to. Can't blame you though, you still carry one of the best user names going.

Metal buddies, I need opinions on these bands

If I remember this rightly, the one song I heard of Sikth was somewhat out there and spacy BM that didn't offend me. It's played on the radio thing linked in the sig.

Come for the wrestling, stay for the rest

When I started (after getting linked to the old board from a Keith rant on Wrestline i think) I was all about the WWF discussion, going all gung ho gabbing about the news of the day etc. Now I don't really bother except for bumpin my post count in the Raw or PPV threads, along with helping to link up people for the webbies each month. Not that I watch any less wrestling, I'm just less into the discussion of it on here. Been a pretty much once a dayish music folder watcher from the start. The other wrestling folders I don't pay much mind to except the download folder in general. Lately I stick to the bottom half of the board a lot more than the top by far. I can count on two hands and feet the number of CE/movie/sports/video game posts I've made probably.
