I thought this was a good starting episode, not as much as I was expecting though. I didn't think there would be so much damn teen drama or whatever, but I should have known that was coming. The show is about a teenage girl so of course there is going to be some soap oprea stuff going on. The pilot gets a B, but from the preview for the season I have lots of hope for the show. I really love the idea of good vs evil and I hope when it all comes down to it, evil wins. However with it being on Thursdays against CSI and The Apprentice will hurt it. Ten bucks says it gets canceled after 4 episodes and Fox sticks Nanny 911 or some other reality TV crap. Once again,reality TV might take away scripted television.

Well let's take a gander, shall we? Oh-so-perfect windswept hair that looks so photoshoped. Speaking of PS, same goes for the skin. It just looks too-perfect...too blurred... sickenly so. I'll never understand the glossy look; noone is without faults, simple as that. Then, of course, the makeup and expression. It simply screams slutty and whorish. And, ye gods, where to begin on that horrendous outfit?! [if one could call it that, of course]. The way it glitters - clearly a ps effect - seems to boast of too much money, and definetly far too much useless spending. Yet she can't stray too far from her favored look, that being skimpy and something off a street corner of ill repute. Though she can adorn herself more elaboraty, diamonds cannot hide a tramp's true colors. Umm, just about every celeb picture there is has been Photoshopped. Even your honey Bloom has a little work done on the computer.

What are you takling about? SNL has WRITERS which WRITE the show. American Idol just has editors to put together a show of a bunch of people singing, that no one will give a crap about a few years down the road. Plus there is a coherent storyline in each skit that SNL does. American Idol doesn't. Simple as that. I wrote that keeping in mind that you said "And the fact it takes away from scripted television really annoys me." which really doesn't reference the script writers and alludes more to the shows than any "behind the scenes" folk. I used SNL as a reference because they write sketches and aren't concerned with any coherent continuing storylines, like most scripted shows. Are there writers? Yes, but again it's not what you appeared to be talking about initially. When you have scripted television, there is obviously script writers. And when it takes away from scripted television, it takes away the writers. I didn't need to allude to it because I thought it was obvious. I didn't say anything about coherent continuing storylines, so I don't know where you got that from. Whatever, I don't like American Idol for the reasons I said before. It will never brace my TV set, ever.

Another reason why Amiercan Idol sucks. Yeah okay Simon. She probably one of the most sexy women in the music business. That ass isn't amazing or anything. Wow, what a dumb fuck. She has one of the best voices there is. How can ANYONE take Simon seriously now?

I wouldn't call it a self-parody yet, but it has moved FAR away from the original concept of the show. What I like about the show is the drama that these kids make out of the dumbest shit. It cracks me up.

And I have a good feeling about tonights episode. That and David Fury wrote it.

I hate the show so much I think it is worth my time to beat it to the ground and tell people they are stupid for watching it. And I look up the ratings to see how many dumb Americans there are out there. Well it doesn't "automatically" make it a better show because I'd rather watch American Idol than a few shows out there. (The O.C., Friends two shows I can't stand). But you are missing the point. When a show like American Idol is on, it takes jobs away from scripted writers. About 10 years ago, that 2 hour block that American Idol fills up would have gone to a show that was written by writers. It takes network television away from people, which is annoys me. For example, Wonderfalls was on Fox last year. It isn't on this year so Fox could fill up timeslots with reality TV. The writers on Wonderfalls lost their jobs for reality TV shows like American Idol. That is why I don't mind reality TV shows on MTV because there isn't any scripted shows on MTV. I used to smoke cloves all the time, but one day the head shop was closed. I needed to get some nicotine in me so I went to the gas station and started the long great road towards cigs. I haven't looked back since. But everytime someone smokes cloves now it stinks up the room. I can't stand them.

And the fact it takes away from scripted television really annoys me. Atleast with reality TV shows, there are some writers that make a story out of people being stupid. But there really isn't much of a story to tell with people just singing. Stupid, stupid, stupid show.
