Diddy Breaks Up Da Band In Series Finale

Not when the CD is based on a reality show on MTV. O'Town's O'Town sold over 1 million copies. Kelly's Thankful sold over 2 million copies. Ruben's Soulful sold over 1 million copies. Clay's Measure of a Man sold over 2 million copies. Da Band album sales couldn't even top O'Town and Da Band had that thing called talent. Granted, O'Town's album came out when Boy Bands were big, but they still sold more than DB. Besides, selling 500K albums for a new artist isn't that great. Britney Spear's Baby One More Time sold over 13 million copies. Eminem's The Slim Shady LP sold over 4 million copies. (Yes I know it wasn't his first album but it was his first non-indy record.) Norah Jone's Come Away With Me sold over 8 million copies. Avril Lavigne's Let Go sold over 6 million copies. Aaliyah's Age Ain't Nothing But A Number sold over 1 million copies. I could keep going, but selling 500K albums for a new artist isn't that great. Don't get me wrong it isn't bad, but it isn't great. Hell, it wasn't good enough for P. Diddy to keep them on his record label. Biggie's Ready to Die sold over 4 million copies. Mase's Harlem World sold over 4 million copies. 112's 112 sold over over 2 million copies. Compared to other Bad Boy artists first realese, DB didn't do as well as them. I can only remember those three artists off the top of my head (I couldn't find Black Rob's numbers), so there might be others that sold less than DB.
  3. Most DVDs are coming out 2-3 months after they are realesed in the cinemas. And that DVD is pretty sweet, much better than the first one. Nope, he didn't. I think Choken is getting screwed BIG TIME when he buys his DVDs.

    Frasier Character Could Return

I can't see NBC bringing the character back. The show didn't do that well in the ratings the past 2-3 seasons and saw a slight increase this season.(Due to Christopher Loyd coming back as a writer.) Plus the season finale didn't break any records and wasn't that much higher than American Idol for the week. Fraiser recieved an 14.6 and Idol had a 13.4. Then again, I never liked Fraiser.

Diddy Breaks Up Da Band In Series Finale

Hmm, this is news to me. Real World(s), Newlyweds, Viva La Bam, and Punk'D(if you count that as a reality show, but some might not) all did better than Making the Band. And I am glad he broke them up. All they did was BITCH AND BITCH about the dumbest things. For goodness sake, you got a break by winning a reality TV show and might have a chance to make tons of money. But all they did was bitch. And they sucked, that too.
  8. You won't catch me dead in Bruce 2. The way the advertised BA, it seemed like a regular Jim Carrey comedy. So I go to see it with a bunch of my friends and we are laughing at first because it is funny. Then all of a sudden, it turns into a romantic comedy. I lean over to my friend Mark and say "Dude, this is a romantic comedy. What the fuck? I hate these things." And he says "Yeah I know, I could have saved this to see with a chick." I really hate romantic comedies, so this will be just another romantic comedy promoted not like one. If they marketed it as a romantic comedy, it wouldn't have made as much money.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Once again, I love Anya and she is one of my favorite characters. However, she is NOT a champion. This is the defintion(s) for champion. cham·pi·on (chmp-n) n. 1. One that wins first place or first prize in a competition. - Not Anya 2. One that is clearly superior or has the attributes of a winner: a champion at teaching. - Not Anya, unless you count her teaching of magics that she knew, but she wasn't a champion when it came to teaching. 3. An ardent defender or supporter of a cause or another person: a champion of the homeless. - Well, she supported people who were demons but she wasn't ardent about it. 4. One who fights; a warrior. - She did fight, but was she a warrior? Hmm, I wouldn't call her a warrior tr.v. cham·pi·oned, cham·pi·on·ing, cham·pi·ons 1. To fight for, defend, or support as a champion: championed the cause of civil rights. - Like I said before, she defended people who were demons, but she never protested or fought for it. However, for this definition I guess you can call her a champion this way. But that would be saying I am a champion for always defending wrestling, but I am no where near a champion. 2. Obsolete. To defy or challenge. Hmm, well this definition isn't in use anymore if I am understanding their wording of obsolete. But if it is still in use, then she did challenge things. However, people challenge things everyday so that would make everyone a champion. adj. 1. Holding first place or prize: a champion show dog. -Not Anya, unless she won something that I can't remember. 2. Superior to all others: “the champion playboy of the Western World” (John Millington Synge). -Not Anya It doesn't look like Anya is a champion. Besides, just because you are redeming yourself, doesn't make you a champion. Andrew is NO WHERE near a champion, he was only "good" for a little while and he didn't even do that many bad things before hand. Angel, Spike, and Buffy are champions. I can see Cordy being a champion, but that is pushing it big time.

What are you the best at?

Probably like most of the people here, I can out wit anyone with wrestling knowledge. Then again I've never met a smart mark in my life, so. Mario Kart 64, if you let me have Yoshi. And that is about it.

Pitt is 40? Gee, I wonder if he got any work done... I'm going to wait to see it with my dad when I get home from school next week. He likes these type of movies so I figured it would be nice to see it with him, so I told him I'd wait. I think I might see Mean Girls tonight instead.

Yeah yeah, we really don't know if Angel or Spike were supposed to have the amulet. Anya, champion? Give me 5 reasons why.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

You're crazy. Lilah gave Angel the amulet so it would help Buffy defeat the First. W&H didn't want the First to win becasue that would ruin THEIR Apacolypse. They gave Angel the amulet and didn't tell him to use it or what it does, just that it would help Buffy out in Sunnydale. So Angel looked through some books and found out what it does. Angel never said he would wear it, he just said it is for someone like him, a champion with a soul, ie Spike. Lindsay got the amulet from Sunnydale so Spike could come back to annoy Angel maybe as a distraction. Angel then would be pre-occupied with Spike that way Lindsay could get his revenge and kill Angel. Lindsay had nothing to do with the Senior Partners; he was on his own mission/task. From Joss himself about the Anya death, from the "Chosen" commentary. So yeah. Woah, Anya a champion? Now I love Anya and she is one of my favorite characters, but a champion? Where the hell does this come from? She is no where NEAR a champion. Cordy is a lot closer to being a champion than Anya and she isn't even really a champion in my eyes. I believe that the First and the SP have beef with each other. The SP didn't want anyone else to have an Apacolypse before they have theirs.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

I don't happen to think it's corny. It's not really fair to compare the number of good episodes to that of another season because the first one only had twelve episodes. Based on the number of episodes it has, I think it's pretty damn good. And Moloch should NOT receive an "F." Moloch was very corny. Getting into the "Demon Tree with DSL" realm of ubercorny. I definately disagree with the Preying Mantis teacher getting a D. Screw that, she was great. The Pack was also really fun. Whoever graded that dislikes Xander. No way, I love Xander. But the teacher turned into a fuckin bug, how high on the corny meter is that?

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Maybe I'm biased because I first started watching during season one, but it has a sort of charm to it. Everything seems so new and unexpected. Of course, that's to be expected from a first season. The Master, Angel, Darla, the Old Ones, the weird monsters, ect, were all great ideas. I can watch season one over and over and never get tired of it. It's kind of a season to set things up, but it entertains me. I missed the lack of focus on VAMPIRES in the later seasons of Buffy. I started watching season one too. I watched all of season one this past summers with some friends who hadn't seen it and well, it was so damn corny. Plus, some of the weird monsters weren't all that great. Here is each episode and the episode grade and the monster grade. 1. "Welcome to the Hellmouth" - Ep: A, Mon: A 2. "Harvest" - Ep: A, Mon: A 3. "The Witch" - Ep: A, Mon: B+ 4. "Teacher's Pet" - Ep: C, Mon: D 5. "Never Kill a Boy on a First Date" - Ep: B, Mon: B 6. "The Pack" - Ep: B-, Mon: C+ 7. "Angel" - Ep: A, Mon: A 8. "I, Robot -- You Jane" - Ep: D, Mon: F 9. "The Puppet Show" - Ep: B-, Mon: B- 10. "Nightmares" - Ep: B+, Mon: B 11. "Out of Mind, Out of Sight" - Ep: B, Mon: B 12. "Prophecy Girl" - Ep: A, Mon: A Compared to another season, the episodes are just so much better. God damnit, now I have to go through each episode and grade them.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

I just don't get how the credibility isn't there. They have been building this up for 5 seasons on Angel. And the heroes are facing a huge threat; the fuckin Senior Partners. They run the biggest law firm in the world, plus whatever the run in other dimensions and the fact that will ALWAYS be around. I don't get how Buffy season 4 is your favorite season. They made the whole Adam thing an Apacolypse, when in fact it was no where near one. All Adam wanted to do was make a huge army of demons/human body parts, but where is the end of the world? If anything, them making a huge threat out of that isn't credible. I'm not fretting your opinions because I'm not like that, but I don't understand how you put seasons of Angel so low on your list. I meant to ask you this before, but it slipped my mind. Why do you rate season 3 of Angel so low? That season ruled, there was so much to it. Darla pregnent, Holtz coming back, Fred/Wes/Gunn love triangle, Connor being born, Holtz stealing Connor, Connor coming back, Connor screwing Angel over and sending him down to the bottom of the sea. Everything about the season was awesome, except for Cordy becoming a higher being because that was silly. So, why do you rate the season so low? Especially putting Buffy season one above it, seeing how that season didn't have much to it at all.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

The Swan does better than Angel does, why I have no idea. Its rating from this past Monday was a 5.7. Angel has never had that number before, I believe. You have to remember that Buffy is MUCH younger than Angel and she isn't very mature, atleast in the beginning of the series. But by time season 5 came around, she became a lot more mature and did things for other people than herself. Like killing herself to save the world, like Brian said. Now to this episode, and wow, that was a fuckin good episode. They set up the finale PERFECTLY and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It was as if I was watching an episode of 24. 1. My first thought was that Angelus was back, but then I remembered if Angelus was back after banging, he would have killed his bitch. (I can't remember her name.) Besides, the Angelus card has been played and it would be pretty silly for them to bring him back again. Especially since where this season has been going, there would be no point to it. 2. I love it when Angel says the vampire stuff when it came to the Senator's aid. It just shows how awesome he is when he whips stuff out like that. And that Senator was just creepy. I didn't like her at all, she just had this vibe about her that said "eviilllll" in the evil bitch way. 3. Seeing Dro again was pretty sweet. At first I thought it was Rack, from season 6 of Buffy, then when Spike said Drogyn I realized I was wrong. The whole interaction with Dro and Illyria was gang star, especially with the Crash Bandicoot deal. 4. Wes, Gunn, Spike and Lorne make a pretty good team themselves. Without Angel in the picture, there is no clear cut leader and that is something you don't see everyday. Spike isn't a type of character that is a leader, so that makes for something different. 5. I loved the whole Black Thorn angle. One thing that I will always love about Lindsay is that he is one smart motherfucker. He might always get his ass beat in one way or another, but he does know his shit. If Wes doesn't even know something, that shows how smart Lindsay is. 6. Once Angel bit Dro, I knew that it was a plan all along. Angel always has something tucked up his sleeve and what he was doing was pretttyy smart. 7. Ahhhhhhhhh, kissing Cordy finally came all together. I wonder if Joss and Company were planning this all along. The fact that he got the visions, or was it just that one vision, from her was a great little twist. 8. What is about to go down next week is just plan ol' fuckin awesome. I wish they started setting this up last week because I believe a 3-episode arc about the finale would have been a lot better than just 2. But I am just nitpicking. I'd talk more about the episode, but I've got a 6-page paper about Chaucer due this past Tuesday to write. Damn, I am going to miss this show.
