What do you think of Fight Club?

I think about that all of the time. That is why Quentin Taratino is such a great director/writer, his favorite movies are all older movies. He has a better knack for movies, so that is why he writes so well.

Yes, Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs for $20 is a deal. It is like getting two movies for the price of 1. I also got School of Rock last week.

    Script that I wrote...

BUMP Since I only got two people who want to read it.
  4. This semester I am taking scriptwriting, which is one of the best classes I have ever taken. I have always wanted to write a script because I have soooooo many ideas, but I never knew how to do it properly. Yes I could have bought a book or looked it up online, but for some odd reason I never did it. I want to be a director/writer for my career and I really think that can happen. We had to write a 10-20 page script that had a beginning/middle/end, basically tell a whole story. I had this great idea, outlined it over 3 pages and eventually wrote 30 pages. Over the next few years, I am going to turn it into a 100-120 page script, but that will take plenty of time and a lot of effort. My point of this thread is to ask people if they could read my script and tell me what they think. Now, I don't want to post the script online just incase somone decides to steal it because that could happen. Plus the fact the script format wouldn't look the same in HTML and I don't want to go through the whole thing fixing it just for HTML. I don't know how I could work this out, but I want some input from people here. I got tons of feedback from my class, my sister and a bunch of my friends. But I also want some feedback from people here because most of you know a shit load about movies. I think the best way to do it is if anyone wants to read it, just PM me and I'll send it to them. Then they could put their feedback in here or in the PM. I know people could steal the idea if I send it to them through a PM, but I still want some input. The script is called "Lights" and this is the premise for it: There are nine friends whose lives all intersect because of the act of fate and a certain action. There are four stories, which are told non-linear and each story is in a different genre. The first is a horror, the second is a romance, the third is a drama and the fourth is a comedy. One thing my Prof. said was that it seemed way too complicated and I should try something easier. I told him that I didn't want to do something "easy" because that is boring. I want to write stuff that is some-what orginal and that would be a challange for me. If anyone would like to read it, just PM me or IM me at ImTheMole. Thanks.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Yeah, him setting Darla and Drusilla on fire kicked fucking ass Damn, you pulled that quote out of the blue. I was MoleSlayer then too. But yes, Angel going crazy was some of the best TV I've seen. Granted, season 2 wasn't that great, but that one storyline made it amazing. well, I've just now seen it, so now is when I can reply to it. As unhappy as that season was getting it looked like it was gonna end up being like Buffy season 6. But them in Pylea made up for it. Angel telling about stuff from season 1 in Midevil Story style alone was hilarious And the Wes/Gunn chemistry was awesome too. Actually it was Sahjhan, not Saja, my bad. And that episode is "Forgiving" episode 3 x 17.

Either you are playing on Rookie, you are really good, or you are cheating somehow. When I first started playing, I was playing in Rookie and hit a HR every other pitch. Then, I switched to Pro and it was a challenge for me and no more HRs every other pitch.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Didn't Angel fulfill the "Father kills the son" prophecy at the end of Season 4? I thought he killed Connor in order to reset Connor's life, putting him with a different family and different memories. Nope. Saja changed the prophecy because the orginal one said something like this "The son of the vampire with a soul will kill Saja." Saja changed it that to "The vampire with the soul will kill his son." That way someone would get rid of Connor or so Wes would bring it to Holtz. Plus, Angel says to Wes "The Father Will Kill the Son?" sarcastically. Wes, "What are you talking about?" Basically saying that the prophecy that Saja changed was full of shit.

What do you think of Fight Club?

Well, that isn't very good writing then. This sounds weird, but is what I like about the movie. There isn't really a plot because that is what high school is like on just about every night. Just a regular night, out on the town, getting wasted. I have done that sort of stuff about 90% of the time during my high school years and most people here have too. I can relate to the movie, that is why I like it so much. Plus, it is sooo damn funny.

Season Three is amazing, and a lot of that has to do with Tim Minear being an executive producer. He did a better job than Marti did, even though Marti did a great job too.

    The Matrix Films

I can't even remember all of the plot holes in the movie because I've only seen the sequels once. And I won't see them again because I don't like them. I got Reloaded in the mail because of my Columbia House deal, where they send you a movie even though you don't want it. I kept it, but I never watched it. I eventually traded it in to get MVP Baseball.

What do you think of Fight Club?

Welllllllll Fight Club is a good movie, don't get me wrong, it is just overrated. It isn't the "best movie ever made" because well, it isn't. I haven't seen the movie in a while, so I can't talk about certain points. The movie has an AWESOME concept and they do a great job at telling the story. However, where the story went after awhile just took too long. Then they seemed to rush the ending because they were running out of time/money or something. The acting was great, the directing was great, the story was awesome, but it seemed like tried to do WAY too much. Plus the movie ended up being really cheesy at certain points, which brings it down too. If you think about it, any great movie can be called overrated. Memento could be called overrated because there are plenty of plotholes and it is so damn confusing at times. I don't think it is overrated, but I can see where people are coming from. The only movie that is awesome that I can' see people calling overrated is Dazed and Confused. What is overrated about it, eh?
