No Mik, I know exactly what you mean. I just can't stand this show and I don't understand how people like it. I don't understand how the person is an American Idol when they don't sell any CDs. It just seems like a waste, watching a TV show all year, then not buying their CD. It would be like watching the BoSox during the regular season, then during the playoffs (when it really counts) stop supporting the team. The whole idea doesn't make any sense to me. So this thread is only for positive stuff about American Idol? And if you don't want to hear what I am saying, JUST IGNORE ME. Every time you tell me NOT to post in here, I'm just going to do it. Then from now on, stop hatin on Buffy or whatever show I like. It is the same exact thing. I don't give a shit if you don't like the show, and you tell me that. But when I don't like something, I can't say it? Makes zero sense to me.

Hmm, how's this a dumb argument? Because they aren't really American's Idol? If everyone who watched the show bought their CD, then they would be American's Idol. But that isn't the case, so they aren't. And no, they don't get killed on Survivor. However, they do have to SURVIVE on the show and not get voted off. They are surving the game show. So it does fit. Sorry if I don't like a crap show which takes away good TV time. Sorry about expressing my opinion about a show which sucks and the title doesn't fit what it's really about.

Still not THE American Idol. You're the one who said a few: "None of them sell "zero" CDs, so they're adored by someone." A lot of people watch the show, but only a few idol them. So it isn't AMERICAN'S Idol, just a few peoples. My point is that the title of the show is misleading because it isn't an American Idol, just 1,000 American's Idols.

Yeah, well, British Isles isn't "America" meaning the USA. So that doesn't count. But it's not 'America's Idol'. A person doesn't have to be idolized by everyone to be an idol. So they are American Idols...for at least someone. And considering millions of people actually vote every week, 'someone' is a pretty big number. Anyways, one definition of Idol is "One that is adored, often blindly or excessively." (I'm sure people who hate the show would love to point out the second part) and most..most that is, of the people who make it to the top are 'adored'. None of them sell "zero" CDs, so they're adored by someone. What? No. The way the show is advertised, it is "American's Idol," not just a few peoples idol. Besides, does anyone actually idolize this people? No, they just want to watch them on TV every week. Then when it comes time for their CD release, they don't come out in the bunches like every week on TV. AMERICA doesn't adore these singers, only a select few do. They aren't American Idols.

Something I was thinking about the other day; how is this "American's Idol?" I don't idol any of these singers and they don't even sell that many CDs. So how are they an American Idol?

If they wanted it to suceed so bad, they shouldn't have had the release date in September. September is THE WORST month when it comes to the box office.
