Eh, American audiences almost always pull for the underdog. Otherwise, why make the journey if they're only going to lose? That's why they changed the ending of Dodgeball, test audiences hated it. What was the real ending? EDIT: Or original. Without spoiling the real ending for anyone who didn't see it, I'd say it was probably the exact opposite. So they lost their gym? And Ben Stiller didn't get fat? Basically, yeah. The original stopped after Ben hit Vince to eliminate him. There was no foul, the Cobras win. They celebrate, and it ends with a frozen shot of Ben celebrating with Michele the Fitness concierge. The director said he wanted that ending to show that the good guys don't always win in the end. Anyway, test audiences hated it, studio execs hated it and told the director to change it. He threw a hissy fit and walked off the picture, but came back and shot the theatrical ending. Like IDRM said, of course test audiences don't like it. But it would have made for a better movie.

Not quite. Metro was basically straight action, and some might tell you otherwise, but I believe Harlem Nights was truly a drama. His choice to make a crime drama starring himself, Richard Pryor and Redd Foxx was utterly bizarre, and I think accounts for it's less than stellar reputation. People expected it to be funny. Watched as a drama, it's actually pretty good. No, you're right about Metro. That wasn't a comedy. As for Harlem Nights, I've never seen it, but my pops has and he swears it's a comedy.

Lucas to Release Star Wars 3-D films in 2007
Mole replied to pochorenella's topic in Television & Film
You forgot about Spy-Kids 3D. And I thought Lucas was done with SW? He is a liar. -
I was thinking more like dog, but shit is close enough.

I missed Smackdown last night and I heard that the Angle/Marty match was worth checking out. Plus I'd like to download Destination X, mostly for the AJ match. I can't seem to find any torrent site that has wrestling on it. Help, please? Thanks in advance.

Good God, UConn is only up by 8. If they lose, I think everyone will hear me scream.
-
And has anyone else noticed that this tourney hasn't been as exciting as years past? There hasn't been a lot of buzzer beater shots like I remember from the past. I'm a bit disapointed.

They will. None of those guys are NBA ready, even though Charlie thinks he is.

That scared the crap out of me as a kid.

What shows have won future classics?

Wow, Nova and UNC are killing their respected opponents.
-
HA, I heart Charlie.

It is. And it is really annoying me. They just said they will be in Conference USA next year, so they won't be a "mid-major" anymore. Actually, Conference USA is losing all of their good teams so they might become a "mid-major."

Oh God, if Marcus is out then there goes UConn. They might win tonights game, but after that they won't do well. Fuck. Just tape it up and get back out there.
-
UCF is actually keeping it somewhat close.

I don't think you can get any more useless than the Niners and Cards.

King size. I probably should have mentioned that.

But he was GANSTA~ in 187.

Well, where do you live?

UConn is up next. Even though I have them losing in the Elite Eight, I still hope they re-peat. Even though it probably won't happen.

William Wallace dies. Frodo destroys the ring. Neo is the One.
