Dead Rising (Xbox 360): The Thread

Ahh, I am fucking loving this game.

This is the NFL Preseason Thread

My predictions: AFC East: Pats AFC North: Bengals AFC South: Colts AFC West: Chargers WC: Dolphins, Chiefs NFC East: G-Men NFC North: Bears NFC South: Panthers NFC West: Seahawks WC: Redskins, Rams AFC FR: Bengals over the Dolphins Chargers over the Chiefs AFC SR: Pats over the Bengals Chargers over the Colts AFC TR: Pats over the Chargers NFC FR: G-Men over the Rams Redskins over the Bears NFC SR: Panthers over the Redskins G-Men over the Seahawks NFC TR: G-Men over the Panthers SB: Pats over the G-Men. Yeah yeah, dumb picks. But I might as well go out on a limb since I am never right anway.

Ahh that is right. Ehh, I don't know about that. Whenever you do a bunch of converting it does bring down the PQ somewhat.

Who is the best, Marvin? I'll be in the market for one within the next 4-5 months and as far as images go, i've liked the Sony LCD projections more than the assorted DLPs. My dad's got the 70" inch Sony WEGA, which is gratuitous and possibly one of mankind's greatest inventions all at the same time. I'm open to other considerations, though, and probably looking for something in the 42"-46" range since I'm in a modest apartment. Well how much are you willing to spend? For one thing, don't get a plasma. The biggest CRTs get are 36" and they would be heavy has fuck, so you probably don't want that. You're not going to find any DLPs that are under 48". So your best bet would be a LCD. This JVC is pretty good. It also had 1080p, which is a plus even though nothing is being broadcast in that yet and probably won't for a while. And this Sony isn't that bad, but it is a Sony and I'm not a big fan of them. Im a fan of Samsung.. As far as 1080p, sets that support it are expensive but..Blu Ray supports 1080p and HD-DVD doesn't. Thats probably not a huge bonus for BR given the # of 1080p sets out, but a future advantage for BR definitely. I am sure the next gen HDDVD player will output at 1080p. And I read somewhere that the BR player downconverts to 1080i then upconverts back to 1080p before it hits the screen, which would take away from it. Have you seen the difference between the HDDVD and BR Marv? HDDVD is SO much better than BR.

    How did you find this?

    Prison Break

Fox wants an early start because they need some early ratings before they get crushed. If they didn't have American Idol, 24 or House, they would be screwed.

    Wiiiiii!!!!

Taking Mole to HD School! 480P isn't HD at all. 480i = standard definition 480p = enhanced defiition 720p/1080i/1080p = High Definition Enhanced Definition is essentially current DVD resolution with a Progressive Scan capable DVD player. They sell used to sell EDTV Plasmas for about 500-1000 cheaper than regular plasmas to suckers who don't understand all the technical jargon but now they're pretty much off the market cause they were worthless. The gamecube was able to do 480p if you were lucky to get the cables that they dont sell anymore. Of course I would have appreciated HDTV compatibility in the W!!, but Nintendo is stubborn and honestly I dont see what good making the W!! HD Capable would do if the graphics aren't going to be a major improvement over the Gamecube. Hmm, someone at the AVS forums lied to me then.

    Are DELL computers any good?

Macs are the way to go... BUT, Dells aren't that bad if you want to spend under $1000.

Blackout rules. It's no biggie because I get the Phils and NYC teams on tv anyway. The only weird one is the Pirates, who are six hours away and not broadcasted in my area. Yeah I know about the blackout rules, I just don't understand how you would get Penn and NY games. They seem far away from eachother.

How would you lose the NY teams and the Penn teams? I have it and it is pretty good. The only draw back is since I have a Mac, I can't watch the games in full screen for some reason.

The lies and bullshit? Are you seriously trying to defend Windows? (which basically Mac is against in those commercials.)
  21. A spin-off from the College one. I was just wondering what college everyone goes to (or gone too) and where it is. And if you've been to more than one, than say that too. I'm at C.W. Post in Long Island and was at Southampton College in Long Island.

Okay, why does ESPN.com have the Yankees number 2 in the power rankings WHEN THEY AREN'T EVEN IN FIRST PLACE??? That doesn't make ANY sense. God, I fuckin hate how they blow the shit out of them.
