Man that crowd sucked last night...the show was decent but I had a hard time getting into it...Maven got the "all you hear in the background is crickets" response all night long for every single thing he did, so the WWE fucked that up, at this rate, if he really does join Evolution, who cares...shoot comments that weren't supposed to be shoot comments all night long, that was okay if not overdone...Trish's piece was great, she's about the only Diva worth watching anymore...Viscera?!?! Come on now, and it really sucks for Benjamin because the crowd was completely gone for that match...heel Edge is great, but he seemed to get nothing out of the crowd as well, borderline X-Pac heat...Simon Dean was gold as usual...the Arab shit was lame, no one buys it, I don't even thinks the marks buy it...

Dave Meltzer comments on WWE's problems
Black Lushus replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
what are you talking about, that was his mistake and he fixed it by closing it out after the first season...he wanted to try something, it failed...happens to everyone...and don't say "well what about the bodybuilding fed", it's two different things...now if he started the XFL again and failed, then we can call him stupid... -

Then they did something wrong, perhaps Vince could learn from those mistakes and NOT kill Raw/Smackdown...even if they didn't go 3 hours for Raw, 4 hours a week is more than plenty to showcase those guys...as long as they cut down on the non-wrestling ( i know, that's a pipe dream)... -

Sure, it worked for WCW until they got too silly, why wouldn't it work for the WWE? -

Dude, that's why i said KEEP Smackdown and carry fueds/stars over...for example, Booker T may be on Raw tonight, but not Smackdown this week, but possibly both shows next week...they did it once before, just like WCW did with Nitro and Thunder... -

How would it be horrible, if there are more than the same 10 guys on the show it would be better... -

Raw/Smackdown Roster: HHH Benoit Angle Edge Jericho Batista Benjamin UT JBL Eddie Guerrero Chavo Guerrero Rey Mysterio The Dudleyz RVD Booker T Orton Flair Heidenreich Regal Eugene La Resistance Kidman London Carlito Cena Christian Snitsky Kane Hardy Velocity/Heat Roster: everyone else until the fans like them enough to go to the bigger shows, and for those already on my bigger show list, as their popularity weens, they would go to Velocity/Heat... It works out perfectly, make Raw 3 hours, it worked for Nitro for awhile...that way big stars shine and smaller stars aren't totally left in the cold...it worked so well for them in the 90s, why do they feel the need to change it with stupid brand extensions? -

Eliminate the Brand Extension...plain and simple...put the bigger names on Raw and Smackdown, have fueds carry over to both shows, put the smaller names on Heat and Velocity until they are ready to step it up to the big shows...combine the world/wwe titles, the IC/US titles and the two tag tiles, keep the cruiser title and bring back the TV title...I think there are good matches/fueds we're missing out on because certain guys are only on Smackdown and certain guys are only on Raw...I've never liked the brand extension and now wrestling is watered down... EDIT: banky beat me to this point... -
well if he's still bitching about title shots, joining Evolution would be an illogical move on Edge's part because he'd NEVER get a title shot and if he won the belt off of someone that beat HHH, he'd get beat up just like Orton...which is why the WWE will probably make it happen...

I'm not so sure Crowe got it for Beautiful Mind, though he was nominated...either he lost it in 2001 to Denzel for Training Day or in 2002 to Adrien Bordy for the Pianist, whichever year Beautiful Mind came out...Crowe DID however win for Gladiator...

I know Ben Kingsley won for Ghandi...but I could care less about the Oscars so my history isn't all there... Question for those who saw Ray...do they touch on his drug addictions and womanizing problems?

I have it on PS2 and I also have the clock still running after going out of bounds problem, same with the computer switching my QBs on me at the beginning of the game, as mentioned earlier...

Like I've said in the past, 2001 to early 2004 is pretty much a blur to me with the WWE...while I tuned in from time to time, I just wasn't committed to watching the 2 weekly shows (Raw I still watched, somewhat, Smackdown I NEVER watched) and the PPVs like I was prior to 2001 and after the Rumble this year...basically there are a few guys that were once character A, but when I started paying attention again were character B and character B was a COMPLETE transformation: John Cena-I remember when he first appeared on Smackdown, answering an open challenge to, I believe it was Kurt Angle and coming within a hair of beating him...he was not "Thuganomics Dude" but just some basically jobber looking guy...next thing I know, he's rapping, "thugging" etc. etc. Midcarding for awhile and then eventually blowing up to, what looks like the eventual WWE Champion...at what point does he go from random dude to Thuganomics John Cena? What promo does he cut or does he just one day come out rapping to the ring and it eventually sticks? When does he end up becomming a good guy, was it an actual act or was it just another case of fans loving a heel so much they turn him face? John Bradshaw Layfield-I sorta recall him dumping Faarooq earlier this year when Faarooq was released on an episode of Smackdown...next thing I know he's some wallstreet clean cut blonde haired dude driving limos and such...did he just arrive one day like that, was it a slow transition? I know he's always been involved in money (in the real non-WWE world), but I'm not quite clear how he transitioned from cigar-smoking, beer swilling thug-for-hire to Wallstreet Tycoon Champion... Randy Orton-Another guy I kind of recall...I remember him showing up on Smackdown, I believe, as a "rookie blue chipper", long hair and all, and they were playing off his wrestling heritage...all I could think was, they're trying to make another Rock, oooookay...then I guess he gets an injury or something and shows up every week on Raw bragging about getting all kinds of fan support through his recovery, though fan reactions indicated otherwise...at what point does he return, cut the hair and join Evolution? What promo was cut for this transition? thanks in advance for any insight you can give...

now if she can just learn how to love working, because it's clear she is being forced to work now, resistance is futile for her... -

that's what I'm saying...according to teaser trailer spoilers though, Palpatine says something to the effect of "Arise Darth Vader" and then he sits up from something like an operation table... -

I'm guessing the suit is a christening to the title Darth Vader...he's still Anakin during his battle with Obi-Wan... -

in whose eyes? my only complaint was the acting from Hayden and Portman, otherwise I have no qualms with what everyone else usually bitches about with episodes 1 and 2...CG use? who cares. Jar Jar? get over it, he's annoying, so what. Plotholes? that's almost any movie with sequels. Star Wars is Star Wars, i've enjoyed all 5 movies, I will enjoy this one... -

just kidding! Anyway, for me, I run everyday for the cardio aspect...I lift heavy every other day, legs one day, upper body the next, rest in between...situps and pushups everyday...and I eat whatever the hell I want, so no dieting...been doin it for years, and though I don't gain huge muscle mass (metabolism and all), I still remain decently cut and in shape...though the increase in beer consumption over the years is battling my situp routine heavily!
