If they want to do Cena vs. Batista, they should start planning now and they might ready for it at WM 24. Right now is too soon, and I don't think WWE are going to make people choose between their two golden boys. Then again, it's not like they shy away from making bad calls.

Controversy Creates Cash - Eric Bischoff

It didn't matter what the finish was? They spent over a year building to that match, so it definitely did matter what the finish was. Whether Sting could have carried the promotion or not, you don't build to a match for over a year and then have such a terrible finish. -
WON News + Notes, 4th December Issue

Just a shame it made zero dollars and did nothing for either man. Oh for the love of puddin' Could you take off those "Smark-glasses"you're wearing? Do I personally care if it made money? no - I was entertained by it. Do I care that by *your* definition it did nothing for either man? - no I was entertained by it. That's what matters to me, not if it "drew money" or "Put someone over" - my criteria is simple: Entertain me That did, no shame in anything about it - only shame is people later on being so smarky-snarky that how much money they drew makes a difference in what they think of something. I guess we don’t need to get you The Big Book of Clichés for Christmas. I’ll quote a guy who knew a thing or two about wrestling. You might have heard of him. His name was Fred Blassie. “Promos are made to draw money. They are not for any other reason. Anyone who does a promo for another reason is doing one for the wrong reason.” Substitute promo for skit, and you’ve got a general idea of why I, thinking of this from a business standpoint, did not like the skit in question. As a fan, I thought it was moderately amusing. Not the funniest of skits, though it was one of WWE’s best. But putting aside what I thought as a fan and looking at the big picture, something a lot of people are unwilling to do because that would mean thinking of something other than their own enjoyment, the skit did less than nothing. It made Steve Austin look like a midcard joke, which is the exact opposite of the Austin character that draws. It made Angle look like more of a goof when he had just made strides to being a more serious character, which might have helped him draw something because goofs do not draw. If the purpose of the skit was to amuse people, then great, because it did that. Contrary to what you seem to think, I never said it was wrong to be amused by it. In fact, I was amused by it. But just because I was amused by the skit that does not mean I’m going to sit here with a smiley face and ignore that the skit did nothing in any way that could draw money or help draw money, which is the only right reason to do a promo or skit. -
On The LAW, Meltzer said the decision to remove Sabu was made a few days ago.

It's not the first time, and won't be the last time, that Vince brought something or someone just to bury them so he can 'prove' a point or fight a war that is over. I think it's one thing to do it to a wrestler, or to a company like WCW right after it happened........but to spend the money to start up a whole nother brand get TV for it, hire guys for it. Get bookers for it run a PPV for it, 5 years after it went out of business when at times the WWE was support it.......just makes no sense to me at all. It does if Vince loses interest. Vince wouldn't be the first promoter to get all gung ho about something and then get bored and not care about it within a few months.

Meltzer on The Law is saying a reason for them not building to anything on the PPV was down to nobody agreeing on what to have and just on what not to have.
-
It's more common sense really. It doesn't take a genius to realize RVD's stock is way down, so why risk what clout you have by openly backing the guy? Best to side with Punk, who WWE aren't so against, and fight a battle you can win.

It's Lashley vs. Show this Tuesday.
-
Remember when they panicked and added Batista and Finlay to the No Mercy main event because they had no faith in Lashley to draw?
-
It's worth the money. Ignore the haters. Get this PPV. It's great.
-
He wanted to do WWE and PRIDE, figuring his PRIDE fights would give him a legit aura and his WWE work would get his name out. WWE wanted him all to themselves, so he passed on the deal.
-
Buy the PPV. It's well worth it.
-
Sapp can be carried and has more than enough charisma to compensate. He certainly has more charisma than anyone in WWE.
-
It's possible they didn't ask Show to do much over fear of either running him off or injuring him to where they can't do Show vs. Hogan at WM.
-
First thing I thought of with the show ending this early was AAA's When Worlds Collide, which ended after just over two hours as well. This show was terrible from booking and production. They should have done something to at least take it to half past the hour.
-
Worst PPV of the year? Or just another crapfest?
-
This mean the PPV is ending 30 minutes early? I guess so.
-
The finish will either raise the show to tolerable or flat out kill it.
-
Three guys left and about 30-40 minutes of PPV remaining. This can't end well.
-
Is there any heat for this match?
-
That's original(!) It's because you won't shut the fuck up about him. If it causes you such pain, skip the post.

Actually, it's just called GH Gut.

Do you think Meltzer's looking elsewhere for entertainment during this PPV, because this is in his live report:
