Russo has a book to plug
-
That's the impression I got. But Russo was booking for WCW when the Radz were still there. In fact they left the week after Russo was booted out the first time. You'd think that Russo would remember that. Maybe he does remember and chose not to bring it up. There are plenty of things he'd like to never bring up.
-
It felt like Russo was trying to take credit for The Radicalz by saying they came in "99/2000".
-
Russo is now taking credit for 2000/1, claiming he set it all up. Meltzer pointed out that it was a team effort, but Russo, and the caller, who was a fan of Russo, refuted that, Wait. Russo backtracked on that one now.
-
I hope Cornette isn't listening, or he'll have exploded at that last one.
-
OVW guys, and Brent Albright is ready to be brought up from an in-ring talent standpoint.
-
I think PWTorrents might have it, but there are other places that have WOL and other wrestling stuff.

Check on a thread I made about his appearance on The Law, but when he was asked about it he denied he was doing wrestling.

SpikeTV Cancels TNA Monday Night Special In February
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to QuestionMan's topic in TNA Wrestling
Spike cancelled the special because they didn't think TNA wasn't ready for a Monday night special. They had also wanted TNA to sign one more big name for the special, to appear on it with Sting, but TNA couldn't pull it off;. TNA are also in early talks with two big names, neither of whom is Bret Hart, and one of whom is someone who, apparently, you wouldn't think would be interested. -
You could make case for it possibly being the best TV match in WWE history, but calling it the best TV match in the history of wrestling is beyond stretching it.

Released in 2001 after getting caught at the US/Canadian border with drugs Brought back in early 2004, but lasted about a week before getting fired again. He's in Memphis, which is about his level.

*SPOILER* No Way Out Main Event Revealed
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to ANKLELOCK's topic in The WWE Folder
He won't. I think we've long since seen the last clean job we'll get out of Mark. What you saw at Summerslam against Orton is the closest you'll get. He tapped out to Angle in their double-finish to a match on Smackdown in 2002 to set up the main event at Vengeance that year. -
Ultimate Warrior Files Lawsuit Against WWE
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
The only thing from the DVD that Da Meltz took real issue with was Bruce Pritchard attributing Warrior's lack of mass when he returned in 1992 as being down to Warrior not working out as hard as he could, inferring that Warrior was lazy when it came to looking his best. Apart from that, Da Meltz had no major problems with the DVD, and thought it was pretty fair and accurate. He also said that some people didn't want to take part because they didn't want to make Warrior look bad, and they knew they would if they talked about what Warrior was like. Warrior, while he might get something out of this, has no case. He really was as big of a jerk as people said. When Ted DiBiase did a shoot interview a few years ago, he talked about seeing Warrior tell kids to fuck off when they wanted his autograph. DiBiase also said how he was so concerned about Warrior getting the belt that he went to Vince over it and warned him he was creating a monster. -
Does anybody think WWE is destroying Shelton Benjamin's career?
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Wrestlefreak's topic in The WWE Folder
More or less. It's something you're either good at or you're not. Were The Rock, Ric Flair, Jim Cornette, Steve Austin or countless others cutting money promo's their first time out? -
Akiya Anzawa to retire

Another young lion is gone: -
From SSS. I liked Anzawa, so this is a shame. He seemed like he would have had a solid future in the Jr division. And:

.....when domestic revenues were down by 25% in 2005 and show no sign of improvement, and their cash cow Wrestlemania is shaping up to be one of the hardest sells in years. Take out the international buys, and WM last year got about 650,000 buys domestically.
-
What makes this funny is that when he was fighting with WCW, Vince was more willing to take chances with new talent and storylines and he was patient. Now, with no competition, he loses his mind every other week.

I just wanted to point out that the rope botches aren't all his fault. Even if you are used to them, it's still harder to get traction on them than cables. The trouble with taking those moves out of his arsenal is that it makes him stand out less. Though, in WWE, they like people to not stand out. -

If they called him a calm and rational human being, that would be a lie he could sue over. -
If they can't do 4's without gimmicks, then they are going to slide in to the low 3's once the people get tired of all the hotshotting. They need to stop using the gimmicks as a safety net, and concenrate on developing storylines that bring people in. They might have to suffer low 3's in the short term, but long term, it will help a lot.

Hunter's Torn Quad replied to dubq's topic in TNA Wrestling
It would be great for TNA to get more viewers, but holding steady is better than losing viewers. It shows they aren't running people off. Yet. -
Let's see if they can do that on a regular Raw, with no TLC match or Kurt vs. Shawn match to hype up. It's good they got a decent rating, even if they make zero dollars off of any ad revenue, but the time for real celebration is when they can pull off a month or two of 4.0's without gimmicks.

If this board is that bad, then why stay here? The people who bitch about people criticizing WWE often tell them that if they don't like then they should stop watching. They should follow their own advice. If they dislike the board so much, leave.
