Former WWE Writer Chris Kreski Passes Away
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to algrim's topic in The WWE Folder
And yet it was 2000 that was the WWF's most profitable year. Ever. -
Is being suspended from the WWE folder really that big of a deal for you ? It's not like you were never going to be let back.
-
And yet you're the one throwing a hissy fit over being unable to view and post in one forum on an internet message board.
-
How do you know that? What is so classy about making unwanted advances at other men? Rico was a class act. And you're being a dick.

Vince Russo should never come back. And so what if he's better than Steph ? A drunken chimpanzee is better than Steph. -

It's more likely to be real than not. It's a delicacy in some countries to eat the placenta/fetus. -

Like anyone, Cornette has had his hits and misses, but he's had more hits, both in terms of seeing potential stars and knowing when not to put certain people on TV. He knew enough that Sylvan Grenier and Nathan Jones were kept off of OVW TV, and given how well each man worked in WWE, it's easy to see he made the right call. Cornette is old-fashioned in some ways, and it can be a negative at times. But he also has without a doubt one of the finest wrestling minds. As for Carlito not being used much in OVW, while that does seem weird now, given how over Carlito is, when he was in OVW, Carlito was not ready for prime time, in terms of work or mic skills, and having seen him in action in OVW I can testify to that being accurate. Carlito was one of those who happened to pick things up enough that he doesn't seem out of place in WWE, but he's the exception and not the rule. -

He killed his own daughter over an argument about money ? Fry his ass. -
Something mentioned on Raw about ECW ONS

No wonder they call you god. And they guys in the show not under contract will get black balled. That'll show'em right Vince? The guys not under contract could get offered deals just to bury them. It's not like WWE hasn't brought in guys before just to bury them. -

There is a trend to overlook the good things WWE have done, but it's not without its faults, and they're usually great big ones. -

Because any excuse to blindly bash the WWE, and you seem to jump all over it I can see how some people fit that bill, but ZM isn't one of them. -
As a wrestler whose gimmick is that of a rapper, it wasn't that bad. But as a serious attempt at a music video, it was pretty bad.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Well, that says it all really. -
I wonder how many times the term "water cooler talk" will come up at those committee meetings? I wonder how many times the term, "Oh shit, now what do we do?" will come up.
-
Not to mention that Borash 'studied' under Vince Russo.

I guess it could be possible, given how many gimmicks he went through, but I've never actually heard of him using that name. What site made this claim ? -
Negotiations started in late December of 2001, so they figured they would be coming in soon, seeing as it was a given that they'd come to a deal sooner or later. I know the plan for Austin v Hunter was floated after Hunter was injured, but I'm not sure on when they went with the idea for Jericho to win the Undisputed Title at Vengeance of that year, which was done solely so Hunter could win the Undisputed Title from Jericho at WM XVIII. If Austin v Hunter would have been done, I'm guessing it would have been built up like Austin v Rock the year before, but with them trying to make Austin the subtle heel, so Hunter could come out as the victorious babyface champion.
-
I think the original idea was for Austin v Hunter.

The committee idea sounds good, but they really need to have one person having the final say rather than several. With one person making the final decisions, the general direction of the company will be consistent, as it's one person having the ultimate say, and you won't have things being pulled in many different creative directions like you would have with a committee. Not to mention that for the committee idea to really work, they all have to be on the same page in terms of the direction, and they need to be totally united and not be looking to undercut each other, or you'll have happening what happened in WCW, with someone going to three different committee members for the finish to their match and getting three different replies. The committee can work, but they don't have any margin for error, especially at this stage in the game.
-
With Dixie Carter on the committee, it does increase the chances of the long needed NWA Title change. Although it depends on if any of the other members want to publicly suggest a title change as well.

One Night Stand To Receive Little Promotion by WWE
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Dimensions's topic in The WWE Folder
As many websites are reporting, it looks as though TNA will not be allowing any of their talent to work on the upcoming 6/12 ECW PPV. Being that it was our interview with Dusty Rhodes that announced this, I wanted to make it perfectly crystal clear that those were the exact words from Dusty Rhodes' mouth. We talked to Dusty this past Saturday and he clearly stated that TNA would be letting their guys work on the ECW show and make some money because they were part of ECW. The interview with that clip will air this Sunday night on The LAW. The complete 30 minute interview will be available in a few weeks right here on our website. Credit - LiveAudioWrestling
