He'd have turned gay and wanted to marry Mankind. Seriously.

If it was a work, then don't you think that in order to make it look as legitimate as possible that Matt and Lita would avoid being together in any form of public venue and avoid any situation where they might be photographed together ? Not only that, if it was a work, then once it came out it was one, Matt would kill off his entire internet fanbase in one go, and his official site would die off. Matt isn't the kind of wrestler to screw his fans like that, just to get over an angle such as this one. It isn't a work.

It's that kind of complacent thinking that least to a stale and uninspiring product.

But that's just the way it's always gone, you get one good idea or one big drawing wrestler and you run it into the ground untill it doesn't draw anymore. It's just that some wrestlers have longer legs as drawing cards then others It wouldn't go that way if promoters were able or willing to think ahead. Good booking would make any 'ebbs and flows' not as drastic as they typically are.

Destination X Review From Keller

I'd say the person behind it is just as much of a retard as the quality of the picture suggests. -
Wrestling only ebbs and flows because promotions stick with a pat hand for too long. There's no reason for wrestling to go in such big peaks and valleys if promotions would learn to change with the times, and go with a new top act before the old one gets stale.

If he wants to put in an appearance at either of those, he'll probably be allowed to do so.

At least they've moved up from crayons. -
That's what I was thinking. Although it doesn't make sense. Like what if he reinjures himself. They've probably made it crystal clear that Richards isn't to be put in any position where he might get injured, so chances are he'll take zero bumps.

I can't believe people actually thought Page would win. -
Benoit vs. Triple H on Raw tommorow night

I think one of the better wrestlers will win the six-way, if only to make Batista look as good as possible in a high profile match. -

I'm surprised Keller didn't point out it was yet another major match that Page has lost when someone turned on him. Can't anyone think of another finish for his major matches ? -
If Vince truly realised how bad things were, he would do something about it. In his mind, he probably thinks he is.

Benoit vs. Triple H on Raw tommorow night
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to iliketurtles's topic in The WWE Folder
If Benjamin wins, then they have to have Benoit challenge him for the IC Belt, maybe with the World Title shot at stake. They have to make something off Benoit making Benjamin tap out last week, or it'll have achieved nothing other than having the IC Champion tap out for no apparent reason other than just to do it. -
Not necessarily. At this point, breaking the Mania winning streak is a special deed and whoever does it will do something that a dozen other men have tried but failed. Even if Taker retires in the next year, it would be hard to believe that he wouldn't come back for a Wrestlemania program some time down the road. So if you just gave the win away to a questionably-deserving Orton, you run the risk of giving away a thirteen-year record to a man who may not have the talent in him to uphold that torch. By no means am I advocating 'protecting' an aging politician like Taker or saying that he should retire with the streak. All I'm saying is that something better has to come along than Orton. While having Orton break Undertaker's streak does have some risks to it, you have to take risks sometimes when it comes to who you give major wins to, or you risk things getting stale, which they have been for a while. And if not Orton this year, then you run the risk of having people less 'ready' next year.

It's amazing how a guy willing to literally put his neck on the line for your company suddenly had no passion once he walks out you. Other than that, it's the usual fluff you'd expect.

Benoit vs. Triple H on Raw tommorow night
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to iliketurtles's topic in The WWE Folder
If a title isn't defended on the biggest show of the year, how can fans take it to mean anything if it isn't worthy of being showcased on the 'biggest stage of them all' ? -
Because Lord knows that UT not going down to Brock in a single month DESTROYED Brock's push, his heat... Oh wait, no it didn't. All it did was give us a kicks ass HIAC match. I don't think you could have missed the point any more than you have. Undertaker treating Brock like his bitch, when it should have been the other way around considering Brock was the young studly powerhouse and Undertaker was the grizzled and war torn veteran, definitely took something away from Brock's aura.
-
Just a shame that they'll also remember the match that led up to the one and only match Undi put Brock over in.

Stevie's still under contract with WWE, so this is probably just a bone thrown his way after getting his face caved in.

They will if the main event they 'know' the result to is a finish they want to see. The 2002 Royal Rumble did the most buys of any Rumble ever, and everyone knew Hunter was winning the Rumble. While the Rumble traditionally does do a strong number, it can't be denied that most of the juice of the 2002 buy rate came from people wanting to see Hunter win a Rumble that anyone with a brain knew he was going to win the second he announced he was going to be in it.

Hunter was open about it to people who were close friends of his at the time. He was determined that he was going to get the super push, and if that meant burying Jericho then that was what he'd do. You're confusing doing a job and putting someone over. Sure, Hunter has done a fair amount of jobs as and when he's had to, but who has he really put over and elevated ? Benoit ? Maybe a little, but other than that, who else ? Except he was brought in specifically to be pushed hard. He was Jim Ross's number one project for 1999. You're not the Executive VP for Talent Relations number one project if they don't have big plans for you. Damn the 'smarks' for caring enough about wrestling to speak their mind. God knows we can't have people who care being fans of wrestling. So do one-dimensonal posts like yours.

Unforgiven 2002. Overall, it was a pretty good PPV, but the ending to the main event totally killed my love of it. It wasn't necessarily that Brock v Undertaker ended in a No Contest, but that Lesnar the young studly powerhouse who was the future of the promotion was treated as the personal bitch of an aged and decrepit 'locker room leader'. Undertaker dominated the match, sold virtually nothing, and it all ended with Undertaker tossing Lesnar through the PPV set. It should have been the exact opposite, but because Undertaker wasn't 'feeling it' in regards to doing a job, and it wasn't even going to be clean, he had to gobble Lesnar up under the guise of looking strong before he would finally do the job the next month.

Top 50 WWWF/WWF/WWE headliners

Bret deserves as much credit for the Survivor Series '96 MSG sellout as Shawn, considering his big return was promoted just as heavily as Shawn's match against Sid. And while moneywise, Shawn was a pretty good draw, ratings wise, he was terrible. While some of that can be blamed on going against the NWO, it was also down to the fact that his babyface persona was a huge turnoff for the heavily male fanbase of the WWF. -

I put it here because it covers about 40 years of history, and most of the talk surrounding the people in the list would be more fitting for here, rather than the main WWE folder.
