What bad breaks are you referring to? Eddy couldn't handle the pressure of being on top, he was so disappointed in himself that ratings and buyrates didn't improve with him as champ. I wouldn't necessarily say he caught a bad break, he just couldn't handle the pressure. The main reason JBL got the belt was because Vince wanted to get back at the 'liberal' media who had, in his mind, got JBL fired from his job at CNBC.

Top 50 WWWF/WWF/WWE headliners

Does anyone have anything constructive to say ? -
I don't think it's entirely his fault either. I just think he does deserve his share of the blame.

Nobody buying the PPV would have known how many Diva segments there were going to be, how many matches there would be, or known how good or bad the main event would be.
-
The problem with having two Six Sides...matches on one PPV, is that the second will have to follow the first, and if it isn't as good as the first, or better, it'll be seen as a disappointment. Not only that, if the second one is really bad, it'll somewhat tarnish the first one, which won't stand out as much as it could have if it had been the only Six Sides match on the card. It's one thing to overload a card with gimmick matches, but it's stupid to have more than one use of a gimmick match on a card, because it dilutes the impact of them both.

The one thing this does show is that trying to use a crazy gimmick to cover up a match that nobody wants to see isn't the sure fire thing some thought it would be. And by the same token, while this was a match that nobody wanted to see, a genuinely strong draw would have still been able to get people to pay to see him in action, because even the best can make chicken salad out of chicken shit. If it was below 175,000, I'd have said JBL was a negative draw. As it is, he appears to be only middle-of-the-road.

Despite Raw getting high ratings, the stigma attatched to wrestling fans in the advertising world is such that channels carrying it don't get the same money for slots on Raw that they would get for other programs that get similar ratings.

"The Real Maxx Payne" may be coming out after all
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in The WWE Folder
Payne didn't suck, but he was like William Regal, in that his style was something that didn't mesh will with most of the roster. -
I demand a genetic test of his DNA before I'll agree with that.

Orton's long had a rep for being a prick. going back to his OVW days.

For some reason, I doubt he has a hard time getting women. What makes you say that? He has a track record I don't know about? Take one look at who he is linked with.... Yeah, but Stacey is someone who goes from man to man based solely, it would seem, on if they're going to get pushed. Anyone in Orton's position could nail Stacey.

Edited for accuracy. Think you can elaborate on that , or are you just going with a lame gimmick answer instead ? And Booker was buried, because the finish to his match at WM XIX made it clear Hunter was right, and established Booker as someone not to get behind.

The problem with Vince dropping his asking price to where other channels will be interested in negotiating with him, is that to get down to that require level may be too much of a drop for Vince's ego to take, and it's not like Vince is above letting ego get in the way of business.

He got it from the fact that Fox won't negotiate with WWE. Like I said, source? I didn't ask for a parrot to repeat what was already said. If you had read the thread before posting, you would have seen a source. And I didn't ask for a moron to not bother to read all of a thread before mouthing off.

NBC are probably still pissed over the XFL disaster.

Every move they've made since their inception has had the same risk. They're still around... But this one is national television in a possible prime time slot. Given that they'll also have the kind of advertising that goes with that, it'll be their best chance at getting the most people to tune in. If that doesn't happen, they'll kill their chances of any future major tv deal, because they'll have a negative stigma around them. If that happens, they''ll not get this kind of deal again, if ever, and that alone will kill what's left of wrestler morale and loyalty.

Kawada has had a long standing grudge against Misawa, based off his feeling that Misawa had things handed to him, as well as the belief, likely accurate, that he'd never be the top guy in All Japan with Misawa around. They did get into a legit fist fight at one point in the past, and the hardcore All Japan fans know about it, and it's been played off of on occasion when they've been in the ring together.

If TNA do go to Spike, it'll wind up either launching them into the stratosphere, or killing them dead.

USA do have interest in Raw, and it's more than likely Raw will go back there.

Matt Hardy speaks on he and Lita splitting

Liz was a rat when Savage met her, so add that to his paranoia, and you can see why he acted so crazy.
