    The Age of Jobbers

The original idea was for that to build to a Daniel Puder v Kurt Angle confrontation. It was a Heyman idea, though, so it got scrapped when he was kicked off the writing team.

Name wrestlers and their greatest opponents

did it make sense, that benoit and angle made no effort to, stop the upcomin revarsal? does it, make sense, to, type like, this If it's a reversal they have no experience with, they wouldn't know how to reverse it. id imagine that after the 2500th reversal, benoit and angle would know how to counter it. Once more, in case you missed it: If it's a reversal they have no experience with, they wouldn't know how to reverse it. and once again if you missed it: by the 2500 reversal they did have experience with it! Then I guess you don't grasp the concept of them coming up with new reversals.

Describe "recently." Yesterday. Is that recent enough ?

    What are you watching

If a move misses, and people can see it missed, selling the move is unrealistic, because people know the move didn't hit. It makes sense for the move to be no-sold, because to do so shatters the illusion of reality. it dosent sound like nagata sold the lonterm effects, of tenyrus not blown offense. Watch the match in question, and you might find out that he did.

    Bradshaw only married recently.

not getting submissions, was not what devalued the holds. what devalued the holds, was the way angle and benoit reversed them so easily. They'd wrestled each other so often, it only made sense that they had figured out how to get out of the hold. did it make sense, that benoit and angle made no effort to, stop the upcomin revarsal? does it, make sense, to, type like, this If it's a reversal they have no experience with, they wouldn't know how to reverse it.

Why is Vince favoring the World Title

Midcard comedy sure is a great way to push the world champion of a brand. As for: How is a strong heel champion ? He hasn't won a major match cleanly. Every major title match has had endless interference and none of them have had clean finishes. Someone explain to me how that could possible make a title or title holder credible ? That is also a major reason why beating JBL won't mean nearly as much as people seem to think it will, if it will mean anything at all. Look at who the new champion would be beating: a guy who never won a major match cleanly, has the same intererence schtick in every match, and, while he may be over when he talks, when it times come to wrestler, people at tapings have been walking out on the guy. I really would like someone to explain to me how the hell the WWE title means anything with not one clean finish in a major match for almost a year, and the same interference finish in every match of the current champion's reign.

Maybe Ace wants her for himself.

    WWE Married Wrestler/ Diva Affair?

... Wow, that's the most ridiculous thing I've heard on this board this week outside of an INXS post. How would it be bad publicity? If the wife of the married wrestler doesn't know, the company might want to keep it that way.

Why is Vince favoring the World Title

I would put it down to a combination of his seeing Smackdown, WWE Title included, as secondary, so not worth the effort, and Hunter convincing Vince that the World Title should be of supreme importance above all other titles and issues.

    WWE's Tape Library

Because the Blue Blazer character was meant to be a comedic goofball, and so nobody would expect the entrance he was planned to do, hence the cameras wouldn't catch the beginnings of it. Once more, and hopefully for the last time, there is no footage of Owen falling.

It might be Christy. I mean, with her Playboy pictorial coming out, that could led to the aforementioned affair possibly coming to light, and that wouldn't be good.

    The Old School questions thread

As far as the most buys for a non-WM PPV, that goes to Invasion, which got around 740,000 buys.

I would have to agree with this. With Sting and Flair, their matches were so formulaic, that you could all the spots before they happened. Sting and Vader's matches were far more varied and intense. They certainly help prop up WCW during a dire 1993, and Sting himself believes that their matches are what kept WCW from totally falling apart that year.

What will spur wrestling's next big boom?

He might not have been a big fan in the traditional sense, but he was fiercely loyal to it. Before the merger, and I don't remember the exact timeline, there was a board meeting of all the top Turner brass, and a bunch of them recommended that they dump WCW. Turner had other ideas, said that as long as he was around WCW would stay, and he flat out ordered to never bring the idea up again.

It isn't Holly. He can only get stiff in the ring.

What will spur wrestling's next big boom?

Virtually no chance at all. When he asked about the start up costs involved in creating a new promotion, he balked at the amount it would take. As for him buying TNA, the same thing goes. It would cost more money than he is willing to lose in order to make TNA any kind of threat to WWE.
