For this to get over, they've got to have a number of personalities that the audience at home can connect with and root for. However, for that to happen, they'd have to do the kinds of things I highly doubt they want to do, for fear of being labelled with the 'stigma' of pro wrestling. If all the hyping they do is by the announcers, with the wrestlers just doing standard sports interviews, it won't attract any outside audience, and they'll be limited to the few thousand HS/College wrestling fans who would have watched anyway, and it'll die.

Name wrestlers and their greatest opponents

For Savage, I'd say Hogan, as they had numerous runs together. With Hennig, for WWF, I'd say Hart.

What makes you so sure? Bear in mind, people have posted rehearsal footage from PPVs and pyro tests, so I don't know if this is out of the question. Theoretically, couldn't at least one cameraman have been pointing at Owen up in the rafters, waiting to film his entrance? Any such footage would have leaked out long ago. It doesn't exist.

While there may be footage of Owen after his fall, there is no footage of the fall itself.

    WWE Married Wrestler/ Diva Affair?

Because without any official confirmation of who it is, Keller could open himself up for legal trouble. Ah, I see. I guess he doesn't mind being the equivelent of a gossiping high school girl then. That would explain his lack of balls.

Official TNA Against All Odds Preview

Which probably means that this is what will happen: After a few thousand ref bumps, Dusty then gets bumped, at which point Jarrett will try to use the guitar on Nash, but Nash will get it, use it on Jarrett, and pin him to win the NWA belt. As Nash celebrates, a second referee runs in to tell the first ref and/or Dusty what happened, and either Jarrett is ruled the winner by DQ, or the match is restarted, and Jarrett cheats to beat Nash, most likely using something other than a guitar, so he can gloat about having gotten around the stipulation that Dusty added.

How much money does Hogan have?

I'm sure Hogan has more than a snootful of money.

How much money does Hogan have?

Off the top of my head, Hogan's first deal with WCW included a payoff of $300,000 per PPV, plus a percentage of the company gross if the PPV earned above a certain amount. Hogan's last deal was for $600,000 per PPV, plus 25% of the company gross. He would also get a bonus if his percentage of the gross was over his $600,000 guarantee. He also got $25,000 per tv appearance.

    Worst booked title reign ever?

In terms of money squandered, Goldberg's WCW Title reign ranks up there. Instead of facing off against all the top guys in PPV main events, he was kept in the semi-final position while the 'real stars' main evented. From winning the WCW Title in July to losing it to Big Lazy, there were 6 PPV's, and the WCW World Champion was in only 2 main events, at Havoc and 'Cade. The rest were: A semi-final squash match at BATB against Curt Hennig, who, quite frankly, wasn't even worthy of a Nitro title shot. The Battle Royal at Road Wild, where he destroyed almost every PPV level challenger, thereby making a PPV title match mean virtually nothing, and where they gave away the big spot of him giving the Giant the Jackhammer in a match where it meant nothing And he didn't even wrestle at Fall Brawl or World War III. Not to mention the numerous Nitro matches/defences against nobodies and zeroes, which again made the WCW Title seem like a joke. Sure, he had a few big Nitro matches, but almost none of them meant anything, and he was typically treated as secondary to whatever other issue was being pushed, which usually involved Hogan or Nash.

    The Old School questions thread

Pillman was negotiating with WCW and the WWF at the same time, before he got injured. When he did get injured, he was afraid he'd blown his chance to get a good contract, and so downplayed his injuries to both parties. Pillman went with the WWF because Eric Bischoff refused to remove a couple of clauses in the contract he was offering Pillman, one of which was WCW's right to terminate the contract if Pillman was unable to wrestle for 90 days. WWF still did angles with Pillman, because it was believed that he'd be able to wrestle by the end of the year. However, by flying all over the place for Raw, etc, Pillman didn't allow for his ankle to heal properly, which is they ran the angle where Austin 'broke' Pillman's ankle, so Pillman could get it fixed again, and let it heal properly.

    What are you watching

but from the brief amount of puro ive seen. ( mostly noah) its not rock style fiery comebacks. but rather one wrestler just stops selling and stares at the other. Watch more Puro. It'll make sense then.

    What are you watching

now im no expert on puro but how can no selling be considered anything but abysmal? When it makes sense within the context of a match, ie; a babyface making his fiery comeback.

    What if?

JCP would have died, and Vince would have won the war almost 13 years before he did. If Flair had jumped, Turner were going to pull out of buying JCP, and if they had, JCP would have folded amongst a mountain of debt, and Vince would be the only game in town.

When was this? Are you talking about a Raw or Smackdown show, or a PPV? Last PPV that I can remember readily that was in St. Louis was No Mercy 2001. S'far as I know, WWE never stayed away from the place, especially not for ten years. I think he's talking about their first show back in Oregon I am indeed. In their first event back in Oregon in 10 years, they headlined with Hunter v Nash, a main event that, at several house shows, fans walked out on before it even began. So, in their first event in Oregon for 10 years, what do they do ? Run a Dusty Finish in the main event, and do a false World Title change. That kind of thing is bad enough as it is, but to do it in your first event in a major market for over a decade is insane.

    The Old School questions thread

Sid would have returned eventually, but the Warrior situation only hastened it. As a matter of fact, Sid wasn't the first choice to replace Warrior. Bret Hart was called first to replace Warrior, but declined, believing, correctly, that his return shouldn't be done in such a manner, with no build-up whatsoever.

Who should of won the WWE world title...

Rude wasn't going to beat Simmons at Starrcade. The title was always going to go to Vader. It was actually meant to happen the day before it did, but Simmons was a no-show at the house show event in question, which didn't please Bill Watts.

    Chuck vs Randy II

Disregarding the physical and technical aspects of this fight, I think we should take note of the mental parts. If you saw UFC 51 last Saturday, and all that hyperbole going on with Chuck, Tito and Ken, Chuck looked very worked up over Tito, and I think that may prove to be a potential weakness. By doing all that, I think Chuck has now got Tito firmly on his mind, and I think that it's the kind of thing that will fester, and I see it detracting from his preparations for the fight against Couture. Now, if you heard or saw Couture during all of this, he was completely calm and relaxed, even laughing at one point, and I think this shows that he isn't letting all the hyperbole get to him. To me, this shows Randy is the far more relaxed of the two, isn't letting anything throw him off track, and I think that this is an edge that will give Randy the advantage. I see Randy stopping Liddell in Round 4.

From the latest WO.com update: --The story going around that most of the WWE crew is now suspended in Missouri regarding paying state income tax is correct, but it's in the big picture, a minor deal, that is considered more red tape than anything. WWE is aware of it, is in the process of cutting through the red tape, and this has no effect on running future events in the state or talent appearing on the shows Nothing to worry about it seems, with PP's claims of it soon to be a "big problem" looking groundless.

    HTQ's Classic Japan Match #2

Owen/Bigelow v Pegasus/Dr Death It's about 12 minutes of another really good match. The VQ isn't too sharp, but it is still very watchable.
