So was the Rumble finish botched or not?
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in The WWE Folder
Somewhat. Rock's feet weren't meant to touch the ground at all, but they did, so had to make an angle out of it. So had Rock's feet not touched the ground the big Show/Rock angle would not have taken place, thus we wouldn't have got all four McMahon in the main event. Sounds good to me. No, the four-way deal would have taken place anyway. It's just with Rock's feet actually touching the ground, and them having a shot of it, they were able to go with that as part of the angle. If had Rock's feet not touched the ground, they'd have just got there some other way. -
Maybe he meant Feb 6th on the West Coast.

Full view of Triple H and Orton Blading at NYR
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Shooting Star's topic in The WWE Folder
Because for the last few like..years, the camera men always for whatever reason decide to zoom, or at least focus on the person blading. I mean, I guess in this case that really couldn't be avoided, because they both took place during some form of action (well, the HHH one, the cam was focused on Benoit/Orton) but there have been many times, a guys just laying on teh mat, or floor..and the cameraman decides to zoom in on the persons face, I mean WTF? It doesn't usually happen like that, at least in WWE, because, and this is also a giveaway, they tend to deliberately have the cameras switch to somewhere else while the blading goes on, and then they go right back to the guy who just bladed, and he's suddenly bleeding. And I don't even need to get a close up to notice them going for the blade. -

Full view of Triple H and Orton Blading at NYR
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Shooting Star's topic in The WWE Folder
The Orton was hysterical, and I noticed this as I was watching the event, because he was clearly having trouble getting his blade ready. I don't know what it is, but for a while now, I've been able to spot the guy going for his blade long before he actually does the blading. -

I read about this earlier, and it's beyond absurd. The woman needs to lighten up before she really does have a heart attack. Actually, maybe she doesn't. -
Re: Fertig. He's an ok talent, but not ready for the position they put him in. He was very nervous, probably because he knew he wasn't ready for what they wanted from him. Re: Burchill. He signed a while ago, and he is in OVW last I heard.

Batista dislikes OVW, Steph/Divas, NWO
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to strummer's topic in The WWE Folder
I love Batista and everything...but what would a "demon from the deep" have to say, anyway? Glug, glug, glug ? -
And why go after the viewer who, by their very nature, would never buy a wrestling event anyway ?

The general public don't just know wrestling is 'fake', but they have zero respect for it. Doing shit like this, trying to act like it's all real, not only makes the wrestlers look like fools for trying to prove the unprovable, but it makes the show look like idiots for being part of it. If anything, it might turn some people off rather than lure people in.

Vince being the HP was somewhat of a last minute decision. While there was no firm plan for who the HP would turn out to be, among the names considered were Austin himself and even Mick Foley. Foley turned it down saying it would make no sense for him to turn. I don't know why Austin was considered, but seeing as that would have been beyond stupid, I put that down to Russo.

I highly doubt there will be a big fall in the Cage match. WWE have gone more and more away from the big bumps in Cage matches, HIAC matches, etc, so that people don't expect them in every one. That is a plus, because if the people are conditioned to expect a big bump in every variant of a Cage match, then nothing is going to get heat until the big bump, because the fans won't believe the match will end before the bump. And no way should Big Show ever take the bump, even if some people think it might be cool. Such a move would be beyond stupid. -

Vince now wants the WWE HOF to cover all professional wrestling. -
If we're just talking about WWF/E, then it's Austin. If we're talking about everything as a whole, then it's Hogan.

He needed it at the end of his run in WCW and he was trying anything and everything in a desperate attempt to stay in the spotlight that had long since passed him over as far as being a regular draw was concerned. And don't type in all caps.

Non-Spoiler Velocity/Smackdown match listing
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to BHK's topic in The WWE Folder
Just remember that simply because the match got a fair amount of time at the arena, that it doesn't mean it'll get that amount of time when it airs. -

No. The only way RVD agreed to appear at ECW Guilty As Charged 2001 was if Heyman paid him everything he was owed, and he did. Hence, RVD showed up and wrestled Jerry Lynn. RVD agreed to appear at GAC if Paul paid him for the match in advance, which is what happened. RVD was still owed a lot of money after GAC, and, if he hasn't been paid it back between then and now, which I don't think he has, he is owed around $150,000.

Why has Eddie gone from World Champ to mid-card?
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
What actually happened was that, once the cameras went off, Guerrero collapsed in the ring, and he was then helped backstage and taken straight to hospital. He took 16 stitches from the blade job, and it was suggested he get a blood transfusion, which he declined, and instead he was pumped full of fluids, two bags worth, and was released at 1am that morning. He certainly did not refuse to go the hospital.
