Carmen Electra. Please tell me you're kidding. I'm kidding. I'm not actually kidding, but you wanted me to tell you I am, so I am. -
Keller is an absolute idiot sometimes with his 'Kellers Takes' columns. He's all over the place with some of his stuff, and his audio updates are incredibly long winded, and most of them see him ramble on for no reason it seems, other than just to ramble for the sake of it. He also contradicts himself a lot; in his review of SS, he says there was no baffling more maddening booking, but then at the end he indicates the booking of the 'Taker v Heidenrape match confused him. To be fair, almost everyone at The Torch is a joke, and I've found myself shaking my head at what they say more and more lately. The only decent guy there is James Guttman. As for Meltzer, yeah, he has his biases, the same as everyone else does, and while he's far from objective sometimes, he's still really the best writer on wrestling out there that I've seen. Bryan Alvarez is good too, but more humorous, though his verbal blowjobs of Shawn Michaels can get really nauseating at times.

It didn't help that almost every match, or maybe even every match, had the exact same finish or big spot; someone running in to interfere. -

Wrestling has a huge stigma within advertising. It doesn't matter what kind of numbers TNA get, if advertisiers see wrestling fans as idiots not worth going after. -

4/10/00 was meant to see Russo lead the new guys and Bischoff lead the old guys, and that had been the plan since they were put back in charge a couple of weeks before. But they felt it was better to swerve the internet fans instead. -

They arrived in late 1993. Ian actually teamed with Jason Knight to take on Public Enemy at Ultraclash '93. Ian had a big falling out with Paul over being paid $350 for 3 shots, which included a barbed wire bat match and a Taipai Death match. Ian felt he should get more, Heyman either didn't or wasn't forthcoming with more money right away, and Ian walked. Terry Funk was always going to get the ECW World Title at Barely Legal. New Jack didn't get into trouble over the Mass Transit incident because when it came time for the civil trial, Kulas, for whatever reason, chose to fuck up a case he probably would have won by lying over and over again. He was a terrible witness, who lied constantly, and killed a case he had a strong chance of winning. Steve Corino debuted in early 1999 I think, possibly at the first ECW Arena show of the year. The Mind Games deal was the first part of a two part angle. As well as what you saw at Mind Games, Tazz and Bill Alfonso also jumped the rail at Raw the following night. It didn't lead anywhere. The December WWF house show tour was called Holiday Hell, and that was apparently meant to lead to another angle with ECW, but that fell through. The ECW invasion of Raw on February was built up to the week before, when Jerry Lawler snatched an ECW sign from a plant who was sitting by the commentary table, and ripped ECW, daring them to show up on Raw the next week. This angle was done, both to give ECW press for Barely Legal, and because the WWF was going to have almost no real names at hand, because of a European tour, and they wanted something to give Raw a boost with so many names not there. Sometime in late 1999, Warrior posted a message about Paul wanting him to come in to ECW. Warrior said he would, but only on the condition that he had a shootfight with an ECW wrestler, and that if Warrior was still standing after 30 seconds, then Warrior would be given ownership of ECW. Translation: Paul wanted him to do a job, and this was Warrior's way of saying no. -

I don't know who he would have dropped the TV Title to, but I would guess Rhino. His winning the World Title was meant to be the first big program once they got national tv, but various circumstances kept it from happening. And yes, Sandman was usually drunk for his matches in ECW. By his own admission, he was only ever sober for three matches during his ECW stays, and each time he got injured. -

That is WRONG, plain and simple. That PPV was IYH: It's Time but it featured an 'Armageddon Rules Match' between the Undertaker and Terry Gordy (as the Executioner). I'm sure they wish they could have used a different PPV name besides 'It's Time,' but this is downright Orwellian. Not the first time its happened. I remember on one of the old official websites for No Way Out, I forgot which one, they said the one in 1999 was also called No Way Out instead of St. Valentine's Day Massacre. What makes it even more pathetic is that there is no point to it all. They're rewriting their own history just for the sake of it. It's stupid.

He returned at November To Remember 1995. Heyman entered the ring after the first or second match, called for the lights to go down, and when they came up, Sabu was in the ring. The crowd went apeshit. Sabu and Heyman hugged. Later in the night, Sabu wrestled Hack Myers in a pretty entertaining extended squash. -

It was in early 1993. The matches were good, but Jesse Ventura buried the SMW guys on commentary. -

Abby was in from around August 1991 until February of 1992 Watts was in control from around the time of WrestleWar '92 until a couple of weeks before Superbrawl III -
Re: Heyman screwing Sabu over in regards to Sabu going to WCW in 2000. Because Heyman had fallen behind on PPV payoffs, Sabu considered that a breach of contract, and felt he was now a free agent. He negotiated a deal with WCW, and he was set to appear on the Feb 14th 2000 Nitro. Heyman found out, and stopped it, claiming Sabu was still under contract. WCW backed out of the deal, and Sabu was stuck in ECW. A month or so later, at an ECW Arena show, Heyman wrote out a scenario where a Sabu v SomeGuyIDon'tKnow match would see Super Crazy run-in, put Sabu through a table and pin him. Sabu refused to do the job, Heyman considered that a breach of contract, and forced Sabu to sit out on the sidelines for the remainder of his deal. It's believed that Heyman wrote the scenario out, something he never did, to legally protect himself, as he would have documented proof that Sabu refused to do what was asked of him.

If Raw had any hot babyfaces, they could do a monster beat down for a memorable angle. Sadly, Raw hasn't got anyone even remotely hot enough for that kind of angle to work or be memorable.
-
To be specifc, Sabu had heat for going longer in tv matches than he was meant to, and brawling outside the ring when he wasn't supposed to. Sabu only found out he was fired because they mentioned on Nitro that a WCW wrestler had been fired and to call the 900 Hotline to find out who. Sabu called up, and that's how he heard. They didn't even call the guy or Fed-Ex him his notice.

Supposedly, a title reign was in Goldberg's WWE contract. Also not true I would wager. He did have creative control though. -
Jarrett is in charge of creative, so the problem has to lie with him. Like almost everyone who runs their own promotion, Jarrett has an overinflated sense of his worth, and pushes himself beyond tolerance. Not to mention that he and Mantell seem to have no clue what fans want, and are pushing what they think works, rather than what actually works.

Nobody is/was contracted to have a title reign. Vince might promise someone a reign, but he'd never put it in their contract. Actually, yes he did. I remember it being reported at the time. There was surprise about that, as it was the first contract of its kind. HHH wasn't close to jumping to WCW, but he did entertain offers, as all wrestlers did, so he could leverage himself a better deal with the WWF. Nash wanted him, but I don't think he ever seriously considered jumping. He just had talks. I just asked Meltzer, and he denied that Hunter was ever obligated to be given a WWF Title reign. -
*You get optimistic about TNA and then you hear something like this. Randy Savage had a number of demands in order for him to grace them with his appearance, these included: 1) His own locker room 2) Bodyguards (Bryan Adams a.k.a Crush & Ron Harris) that TNA will pay $1000 each night for and walkie talkies for his bodyguards 3) Jimmy Hart cannot go near him Credit - LAW
