Both went through a period where they seemed to get injured every other week. Both went through some 'growth spurts'. Both are overrated by their biggest fans. So who's the better of the two? Triple H is better, but he's also the most overrated of the two in terms of how he's seen by his biggest fans.

Credit - WO.com Look for JBL to lose the WWE Title without doing a job, and I guess they've given up on CCC already, seeing as it looks like it was a clean job.

They expanded too fast too soon. Instead of expanding slowly, state by state, they tried to move too far afield. They paid for tv timeslots they really shouldn't have, because they felt they had to take the offer while it was on the table.

The Blondes were split up long before Hogan arrived. I was talking about the Flair feud. Trust me, I know all about the Blondes. I've been a mark since age 12. At what point was Flair grooming Austin for this feud ?

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Nobody is/was contracted to have a title reign. Vince might promise someone a reign, but he'd never put it in their contract. -
He can only respond to the questions he's asked. As much as we'd like to move on from certain incidents, and I'm sure Bret would rather leave them alone too, it's still what the people he gets interviewed by want to ask him about.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

Hunter wasn't as close to jumping as whoever said that. Given his spots in the WWF at the time, and the nature of WCW, he would have had to have been an idiot to jump, regardless of how much he was getting offered. It would have led to Flair making Sanders look good en route to doing a job. Then Sanders would have been put in the ring with a non-magician, and he'd have been exposed as sub-Average Mike Sanders. Some fucking idiot thought the most uncoordinated wrestler of all time would be a good Horseman. Probably Bischoff, as he seemed to have a hard on for Mongo. Roma was a last minute replacement for Tully Blanchard, so they probably had few options. Plus, he was cheap. Yep. He was on a $100,000 per year deal A million sounds right. Dustin Rhodes's Seven gimmick was shelved after one appearance. It was Brian Adams who was the first Demon. It got changed because the gimmick was a Bischoff idea, and they pulled the gimmick at first. Then they realised they were contractually obliged to put The Demon in main events, so they gave it to Torborg, and put him in undercard matches that were billed as 'Special Main Events'. Where he would invariably job. -
If you look at the current Tough Enoug kids I would agree with that statement. But the guys in OVW on developmental deals put that theory down the toilet. Scherer needs for some of the crap he puts out... However, WWE tends to bring up the guys who aren't ready, based on their size and/or look.

It got beyond absurd watching WCW try to find as many ways as possible to plug Surge. When they had the cameras on the announce table, they sometimes practically shoved the stuff through the camera. Are there any questions that have not yet been asked ? -
Most uncharismatic wrestler ever?
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Disco Inferno. The guy has anti-charisma. -

This is great stuff. Dangerously and co are burying WWE, and I don't know that anyone there will realise it.
-
I'd wager ECW's guys still made more. Jarrett paid peanuts.
-
Strange how TNA got news of VR's buy rate so quickly, and yet when they first started up, they claimed it would be a year before they got any solid information about the buy rates.
-
Nothing specific HTQ. I just found his listings ***+ matches of WCW/WWE/WWF from the 90's until today and I was just looking for the same type thing for ECW. I wasn't an observer guy back during my ECW lovin days.......so I didn't realize he didn't cover that much. I would take the ECW PPV star ratings though if anyone can find them....... Agreed. Maven got buried six-feet under, and he's dead now. Nothing kills off a babyface like not being able to get the win even when he has two top guys actively helping him out over and over again. Watch for the next three Raw's to be the same as this one. Maven sucks. Who cares if he was buried? It made for a good Raw main event. You really don't have a clue do you ? It makes no sense at all to bury a babyface that the crowd are actually responding to in some fashion.

It's probably not the best After pic, but Douglas face has become more angular and hard over the years. Hunter's weight gain began in early 1998, and it peaked in early 1999. He put on at least 30 pounds of solid muscle. He looks totally different And The Rock lost weight because he trimmed down due to his acting gigs.

The Snitsky/Heidenreich Confrontation
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Nevermortal's topic in The WWE Folder
I was thinking that too. I kept expecting some sort of macho/homoerotic kiss of some kind. And Snitsky talked about seeing Heidenrape later, but I don't think they mentioned it again. -

Buy rates with him in the main event say otherwise. He isn't drawing noticebly worse than HHH is. I believe Taboo Tuesday got a lower buyrate than No Mercy, did it not? No Mercy got a 0.03 bigger buy rate: 0.44 versus 0.475. To be fair to JBL, nobody is over right now. Buy rates are down, house show attendance is terrible. Business is down across the board. The money situation is so bad that management are offering advances on pay.
