That was pure rumor. It didn't happen.

Smackdown spoilers for the 11/11/04 show
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in The WWE Folder
Why is anyone taking JBL's promise as gospel ? Stips never get adhered to for long, if ever at all. -
Bluring the lines would work best if they did it with just one character, and gave them a good push. If they did it with everyone, then it would flop miserably. The best gates are invariably drawn by the guy the people hate the most taking on the guy the people love the most. If they lines are blurred, with neither guy significantly more evil than the other, then chances are it will bomb.

Was BKM a gimmick account for someone else then ?

Most uncharismatic wrestler ever?
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Robert Gibson. Take away Ricky Morton, and watching Gibson is like watching paint dry. -
Sting, as probably one of the few Christians in wrestling to actually be serious about it, kept his word. Savage didn't.

What the fuck is this full house shit?
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Vanhalen's topic in Site Feedback
More like a 12-Gauge shotgun sort of way. -
Possibly in San Francisco.

Will this thread be as boring as your "Ask Me" thread? That would make Leena a bit of a fool. I vaguely remember Leena from reading older threads on here. Leena seemed ok, from what was said.

I'm thinking 1975-76.

Only if the 'world' consists of Jeff Jarrett's house.

Guess you don't see OVW. -
Well, that sure was a wise investment.

I thought the best part of Raw was the Magnus promo video. I really like the character, bad taste aside. If the crowd were anything to go by, when he and his manager finally debut, they'll get incredible heat. The key is whether it's the right kind, which I don't think it will be. The rest of Raw was boring for the most part. Orton v Batista was far too long, not that exciting, and for someone meant to headline WM XXI, Orton's win wasn't as decisive as it should have been. Lita must never have a live mic ever again. The Snitsky angle was dire. The main event was ok, but for a supposedly heated confrontation, there sure was a lot of wrestling. And add me to those who were sick of everything revolving around Triple H, again. Quick question: Why should I pay to watch Survivor Series, when I can see the payoff to the main event on free tv for the next four weeks ?

The industry does need a competitor to WWE. However, that competitor won't be TNA, regardless of whether this BDSSP deal gets them a better timeslot.

Biggest announcer overreaction ever
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
How about when Cole, on this past Smackdown, said that when Booker T pinned JBL it was JBL's first pinfall loss since WM XX, when JBL was pinned by Rikishi on the first or second SD after WM XX. It's one thing for WWE to rewrite history that happened decades ago, but when they rewrite stuff from within the past year, that's just getting stupid. -
Biggest announcer overreaction ever
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Pretty much anything Michael Cole has tried to hype I've found he's overreacting to. It's not that he's necessarily overhyping something, as much as his reaction is so forced, and terribly so, that he comes across as badly overhyping, even when what he's pushing actually is big news. -
Pissing and moaning from a useless sack of shit You don't set a great example yourself, with the shitty threads you constantly make. Who the fuck cares whether a wrestlers looks gay or not ? This board does allow freedom of opinion. It just tends to not allow fuckwits like you to stick around. If they really wanted to protect him, they wouldn't have had his first televised match go 18 minutes, when he shouldn't have been going any more than 10 or so. Of course, he shouldn't have been in the ME scene to begin with really, but if he was going to be there, they should have least been more sensible about it.

Steiner's screw-ups in his matches with Hunter weren't entirely his fault. He should never have been in matches that long, in the 18 minute range, but Hunter didn't care. He wanted to do a long match, regardless of whether it was best for the match itself. Steiner got exposed way too soon, and any money that could have been made with him was pissed away within 5 minutes of his Rumble match with Hunter. Granted, he would have been exposed eventually, but sensible booking would have put that off long enough for money to have been made.

I don't think it matters whether the plan is for the young guys to get over; I don't see either Nash, Hall or Savage willing to do it anyway. When Hall and Nash wrestled an a UPW show against Christopher Daniels in a tag match, even though far fewer people saw that than TNA, just, they still did the old 'banana peel' job, and made Daniels look like a chump, even though he got the pinfall. And Savage is known to put up tremendous fits about doing jobs, even when it's to people on his level, so I don't see him being willing to do one, a proper one, to someone he no doubt sees as a punk kid.
-
Because Hall has totally let himself go, is way out of shape, and is shot to hell as a worker. He can't do anything anymore, beyond provide cheap comedy, whether intentional or not.

WWE brought out Steiner's contract a while ago, and he is now a free agent. And tnamark, for the good of humanity, piss off and die.

Mike Rotunda was as plain as toast. Kama Mustafa was boring personified.
