Benoit's role in WCW in his first run, as his role seemed to be for the majority of career, was to make people look good before losing. That's all he did. Obviously, Scorpio didn't help to look good, but the rest of the time in WCW during his first run, he was making stiffs look good before losing. We're talking people like the Cole Twins and Erik Watts here. I don't think Benoit won many, if any, significant matches during his entire 1993 run in WCW. He certainly didn't win enough to warrant any other label than 'glorified jobber'.

We'd need to decide on an order of selection as well. If enough people are interested, we can flesh out the requirements for wrestlers being eligible, and give this thing a proper go.

Didn't Spike pull out from negotiations before picking up Impact? Spike pulled out because Vince wanted a better deal than they were prepared to give, and Vince was then forced to take a deal he didn't really like with USA because he had no other place to go.

Because in his WCW run in 1993, Benoit was a virtual jobber, while Heyman actually showcased Benoit and gave him his first significant push in North America, hence Heyman getting the credit for first showcasing Benoit. The credit isn't about using Benoit first in America, but about giving him his first real push in America.

According to Bryan Alvarez, the Jackass angle for Summerslam is apparently for the three members of Jackass to have individual matches, and the plan is for them to be the babyfaces.

If they let RVD go and stay away for a while, which just happens to be the length of time he wanted off in the first place, and then come to terms and sign him back again, it would allow both sides to get what they want without having to do what they don't want. RVD gets his time off and comes back with a raise, and WWE get to re-sign him without RVD's time off being part of the deal, and they save face.

If the announcers don't know what's going to happen, they can't take the audience in the direction they're supposed to be going. It's hard to tell the story the company wants if you're not told what it is.
